I, Feini, am not some pure, harmless, sweet little thing without a temper.
She crushed the hilt of my sword, so I’ll make sure she experiences what it feels like to be betrayed. I’ll ruin her school life.
Only now is Fat Nini’s true nature finally exposed. She’s not some little widow, not a mother—she’s just a petty person who always gets even.
If you, Ten-Step Hall, are the Western Chu Overlord, then I, Feini, am Liu Paopao.
I’ve already got my escape route planned out. There’s no way I’ll stay at the God and Demon Academy for the rest of my life.
This place is just like a prison. I only came here because I was weak and had no choice, trading my freedom for safety.
But now, both my daughters have grown up and gained some fighting ability.
Since we’re in another world, it’s only right that we set out and make our way.
Birds are meant to fly, not be trapped in this cage.
And my escape route is Kenshamu the undercover Hero.
Anyway, with how she is, her identity will be exposed sooner or later.
She’ll have to run back to the Human Race, and when that happens, she can take us with her.
But how do I get a Hero who’s always thinking about justice and upholding the greater good to bring us along? That’s a real problem.
Feini has her ways. What she needs to do is set up a “heartbreaking” scenario for Kenshamu—one so painful that it shatters all her sense of justice and leaves her conscience in pieces.
The upcoming Demonic Beast grand melee is the perfect stage for me to sabotage things in secret.
“Are you going home?” Kenshamu still asked, completely unaware she’d already been thoroughly manipulated by Feini.
“Mm.” Feini answered.
“Then I won’t bother you anymore.” Kenshamu seemed a little down, preparing to leave by herself.
“Come over to our place for a while.” Feini invited.
“Huh? Really? I can?” Qingshamu was taken aback, overjoyed.
“It’s fine. We’ve been through life and death together as teammates.” Feini said.
The three of them walked down a dim, secluded path and arrived at the little grove beside the dormitory area.
There was a hidden barrier here. Without high-level magic, no one could sense the mysterious little cabins inside.
Feini’s family of three had been granted free entry and exit by the Faceless Witch, and any strangers sticking close to them could tag along through the barrier.
But honestly, while we kept calling Feini’s new place a little cabin, it was actually a whole set of cabins grouped together—undeniably a full-fledged country estate.
The furnishings inside were all there, though rather old and worn, but full of that homey feeling.
Qingshamu fell in love with the place the moment she walked in.
She sat on a wooden bench and immediately felt it was much more comfortable than the cold 302 dorm room.
Feini put down her travel backpack and went to personally brew a pot of Brilliant Tea.
By the way, her backpack was stuffed full of tea leaves and spices bought from the Kingdom of Huanxu—things that were hard to find at the God and Demon Academy.
In her daughters’ backpacks were brand-new tea sets, dishes, and even kitchenware—all things Feini had quietly bought using team funds.
The first thing Feini did at home was take out the new tea and tea set and brew a pot to try the taste.
“Thank you.” Qingshamu took the tea with both hands, treating it with great solemnity.
“What are you doing? Aren’t you usually all cool and aloof? Why are you acting like a toad now?” Feini sat down beside her, sipping her own tea.
Anyway, when she came back, she didn’t have any of the regret the Demonic Beast girls had.
In Feini’s eyes, the Human Race and Demonkind were equally dangerous, but the Human Race society was much more colorful than the Demon Domain.
Feini had realized a simple truth: the God and Demon Academy can’t raise clever Demonic Beasts.
The clever ones are already smart before they enroll.
So keeping my two daughters here will only make them dumber, and in the end, Baicheng and Little Black would just become the Nameless Witch’s giant Gu bugs.
The Nameless Witch, in a sense, was a mad scientist, and my daughters are the perfect experimental material.
Now, before the Nameless Witch realizes this, we have to escape.
As said before, if we want to leave the God and Demon Academy, we have to rely on the Hero.
But now, Feini had to change tactics. It was time to give Qingshamu a little sweetness to keep her interested.
I can’t keep showing her a cold face every day—that won’t work. A bit of push and pull is needed.
But as for push and pull, all Feini did was sit and drink tea with Qingshamu. That was more than enough to keep this shy girl hooked.
The two of them enjoyed a moment of tranquility, especially since everyone else was still at class while we were at home drinking tea.
The comparison made it feel even sweeter.
After all this time at the God and Demon Academy, neither of them ever felt a sense of belonging—always keeping their heads down and living on edge.
Now, with a couple days off, the only time we could feel even a little at ease was in this secret little cabin, not having to worry about the stares of the other Demonic Beast students.
“Once you get the God-Demon Meat Chunk, hurry up and leave.” Feini suddenly said.
“?!” Qingshamu was startled, her voice trembling, “How did you know?”
“You already realized I’m unusually smart. Figuring out something like this isn’t hard. And your reaction just now confirms my guess.” Feini explained calmly.
“I…” Qingshamu collapsed onto the bench, at a loss for words.
“Finding out the Northern Demon King’s true identity is too difficult, and even if you do, you won’t be able to beat her. Back then, your whole Adventurer Squad couldn’t even scratch her.”
“If it hadn’t been for the Northern Demon King Army being a bunch of backstabbing losers, you would have died in Phoenix City. So why do you think you can beat the Northern Demon King alone, in a place filled with powerful Demonic Beasts?”
Feini pressed.
“Because the Northern Demon King doesn’t have you anymore. She abandoned you. You should hate her a lot. You’re right, my undercover mission is to investigate the God-Demon Meat Chunk.”
“Getting revenge on the Northern Demon King is a personal matter. You said before that you don’t care about the Human Race or Demonkind. Will you support me in getting revenge?”
Qingshamu asked seriously.
“I won’t.” Feini answered in a second.
“……” Qingshamu’s eyes instantly filled with confusion and hurt.
“I don’t want to see you get hurt. I don’t want you to take risks.” Feini added softly.
“!” Qingshamu, hearing this, suddenly looked flustered, her eyes sparkling, cheeks tinged with shyness.
Surely I’m not imagining things this time? Feini actually cares about me! I’m in her heart!
But after a moment of reflection, Qingshamu said,
“But the Kendo Club has been good to me. I can’t just leave like this. At least, I need to finish the Club War and make sure the Kendo Club is safe before I can go.”
“You’re really not cut out to be an undercover agent.” Feini laughed.
She’d long since known Qingshamu wouldn’t just up and leave, because she understood the Hero’s nature.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have brought it up at all.
This only serves to raise her favorability, without having to worry about the Hero actually running off.
“I already knew that.” Qingshamu slumped back, staring at the ceiling.
“Oh?” That answer actually surprised Feini a bit.
Looks like she isn’t quite as stupid as she seemed—she knows exactly what her own shortcomings are.
“Maybe you’re right. The Human Race, Demonkind… there’s really no difference. After spending so long together, I’ve realized it’s just a matter of perspective.”
Qingshamu suddenly started spouting philosophy.
Seems Feini’s nightly debates and brainwashing were working.
Qingshamu’s words sounded profound, but in reality, it was just empty talk.
This kind of talk coming from a Hero is actually terrifying, because it’s extremely persuasive.
Even Feini nearly fell for it, nearly swept away by Kenshamu’s sincerity.
If it works on her, imagine the effect it would have on normal Demonic Beast students or regular warriors—they’d be instantly captivated, manipulated without realizing it.
But that didn’t matter. Feini was deliberately teaching Kenshamu how to PUA and control hearts—that’s the most fitting skill for a Hero.
After all, since she planned to sneak onto Kenshamu’s “pirate ship” with her daughters and smuggle themselves to the Human Race, she needed to improve the captain’s eloquence.
This free topic assignment had revealed another serious issue: Kenshamu couldn’t use magic in front of outsiders.
Without the Sword of the Bright Moon, the Hero was just a nimble swordswoman.
Without magic to bolster her damage, she couldn’t break through a high-level Demonic Beast’s thick hide.
That meant, in the coming Club War, Kenshamu would be severely handicapped—her combat ability was even lower than the Golden Fang Beast Sisters.
At least the Sisters’ defense was maxed out—they could even withstand Hongshan Dragon’s massive breath attacks.
But there was no rush. The Hero’s identity being exposed was all part of Feini’s plan.
She just needed to use this opportunity to get the Hero to take her and her daughters and escape from the God and Demon Academy, flee the Demon Domain, and return to the far more normal Human Race society.
“Do you know that female priest?” Feini asked.
“You noticed that too?” Kenshamu smiled bitterly. “She was once my teammate.”
“No wonder you always wear that mask.” Feini remarked.
“Honestly, not many people know what I really look like.” Kenshamu shook her head.
“But you were still recognized.” Feini pointed out.
“Good thing you convinced Shijietang Simon to come back. Saintly Officials are always extremely suspicious. She might’ve looked like she left, but she wasn’t going to let us off. She actually went to get people to arrest us. Baicheng looks too much like me, and that would definitely draw the attention of the Holy Church—they wouldn’t let Baicheng go.”
Qingshamu explained.
“What do you mean? Why?” Feini pressed.
“Every generation’s Hero is prophesied by the Holy Church as the Chosen One. Even though I was trained at the Kingdom Knights Academy and followed the King’s orders directly, the Holy Church still has a certain degree of secret control over the Hero.”
Qingshamu explained.
“They’d feel threatened by anyone who looked similar to their prophesied child. That would threaten their authority.”
“Mm-hmm.” Feini listened intently, memorizing it all. This was important intel.
Suddenly, she felt that the Human Race wasn’t such a safe place after all.
