“Little sister, why have you stopped talking? Are you scared?”
“Don’t worry, big brother is here, everything will be fine.”
Ian looked at the little girl, who stood only 4 feet 7 inches tall and was wearing a black dress.
He felt that in such a dark place, the little girl must be terrified, so it was time for him to step up as the big brother.
“Enough, you really are quite rude!”
The little girl who called herself the Dark Goddess was successfully angered by Ian.
“Has no one ever told you to keep a sense of reverence for the unknown?”
“It looks like I must teach you a lesson.”
“Haha.”
Ian didn’t take her words to heart, thinking it was just some child who had caught a case of eighth-grader syndrome.
“Stop messing around; brother will take you to find your parents in a bit, okay?”
Ian crouched down, still using the tone of someone coaxing a child.
BOOM.
Just as Ian crouched down, a sudden bolt of lightning descended from above, striking him directly.
Hit by the bolt, Ian collapsed to the ground.
‘How could there be lightning here?’
Ian lay on the ground, filled with confusion.
Logically speaking, lightning shouldn’t be able to strike inside a Labyrinth!
“Hey, you brat, do you still dare to treat me like a child?”
“Was that you?”
Hearing this, Ian finally realized that this lightning had been conjured by the little girl in front of him.
“Yes, it was me.”
The child who looked like a loli admitted quite generously that she was the one who cast the lightning.
After all, she had only intended to give Ian a show of force, and admitting it now was the perfect way to intimidate him.
“What is your name? Why did you come here?”
Hearing the little girl’s words, Ian countered with his own questions.
“I should be the one asking you that. Why are you inside the Labyrinth?”
Not just in the Labyrinth Incident, Ian had never seen this little girl anywhere in the entire game.
Yet, with such exquisite modeling, it didn’t make sense for her to be absent from the game.
Ian looked the little girl up and down.
He hadn’t seen her clearly before, but now that he focused, he realized she was truly beautiful.
Her long black hair reached her waist, her blood-red pupils looked like fresh blood, and her facial features were delicate, the entire person carrying the faint pressure of a deity.
However, her figure was a bit flat.
“Where are you looking?”
The little girl covered her chest, looking at him with shame and anger.
“Don’t you go making false accusations; you’re so small there, who would be interested in looking?”
Ian preferred “big,” and for “small,” he couldn’t muster the slightest bit of interest.
“You really are a rude person!”
The little girl raised her hand and hit Ian with another lightning strike.
“Don’t!”
Accompanied by Ian’s wailing, he was once again electrocuted to the ground.
“Wait, wait, wait! I won’t say you’re small anymore, I won’t!”
Ian lay on the ground, begging for mercy.
“Hmph, that’s more like it.”
The little girl wiped her hands and dispersed the lightning.
“You still haven’t given me your name.”
“My name is Ian, and I am the son of a Duke from the Farah Empire.”
Ian told the girl about his origins straight away.
In his opinion, as long as this girl wasn’t from the Demon Race, she shouldn’t do anything harmful to him.
After all, the other races maintained a non-aggression pact with the human race.
“Farah Empire? Never heard of it.”
To Ian’s surprise, the little girl had never even heard of the Farah Empire.
Was there anyone left on the continent who hadn’t heard of the Farah Empire?
As the front line for the human race against the demons, the Farah Empire was known to everyone on the Saint Roland Continent.
Ian couldn’t believe there was someone who hadn’t heard of it.
“Whatever, forget that. You said your name is Ian, right? How did you get here?”
Hearing the little girl’s words, Ian told her about his quest to clear the Labyrinth and being ambushed by the Water Demon.
Of course, he didn’t tell her about the most important thing: the System.
After all, the System was his greatest trump card; how could he tell just anyone about it?
“Labyrinth?”
There was a hint of confusion in the little girl’s voice.
“It’s a type of natural disaster that suddenly appeared on the Saint Roland Continent.”
“Many Magic Beasts are born inside the Labyrinth, and there is also a boss. The Labyrinth only disappears once the boss is defeated.”
Ian noticed the doubt in her tone and explained.
“Oh, so you’re from the Saint Roland Continent.”
The little girl listened to Ian’s explanation and realized with a start.
?
Listening to her tone, was she not from the Saint Roland Continent?
“Are you not from the Saint Roland Continent?”
Ian asked tentatively.
“I was before, but not anymore.”
‘What does “I was before, but not anymore” even mean?’
Ian screamed in his mind.
“Can you be more specific?”
Ian continued to ask.
“Sigh, you’re not very bright, are you?”
After mocking Ian, the little girl continued.
“Didn’t I just say it?”
“I am the Dark Goddess. Naturally, I used to be on the Phalloran Continent, and now, I am in the Divine Realm!”
“The Divine Realm?”
Hearing this, Ian was shocked.
Was he no longer on the Phalloran Continent, but had instead arrived in the Divine Realm?
“Although I’m not sure how you ended up in the Divine Realm, it seems you didn’t even know you were here?”
The little girl saw the shock on Ian’s face and asked.
“Uh, I truly had no idea how I got to the Divine Realm.”
Ian admitted that he didn’t know how he arrived.
He guessed it might have been some trick played by the System.
“However, it was probably the space turbulence from the Labyrinth that brought you here.”
“Space turbulence?”
Hearing the confusion in Ian’s tone, the little girl began to explain.
“Do you not know? The main reason why labyrinths can suddenly appear anywhere on the Saint Roland Continent is this space turbulence.”
“What is called ‘space turbulence’ is when space becomes distorted, creating space tunnels that connect two completely disconnected places.”
“That must be it. You came here from the Labyrinth on the Phalloran Continent.”
Listening to the little girl’s logical analysis, Ian began to believe her.
“Little sister, since…”
“Hmm?”
Hearing Ian still calling her little sister, the Dark Goddess glared at him fiercely.
“Dark Goddess?”
Ian realized his mistake and tentatively addressed her by her title.
“Call me Yeyue; that is the name I used on the Phalloran Continent.”
“Alright, Yeyue. Do you know how to get back to the Phalloran Continent from here?”
Hearing Ian’s question, Yeyue shook her head.
“Give it up, you can’t go back.”
“What do you mean? How can I not go back?”
Ian asked Yeyue anxiously.
Aetherinra and Elise were still waiting for him to save them; what was he supposed to do if he couldn’t return?
