Feini, the Dragon Mother, and Jukkido Simon sat together and shared a meal.
After finishing the food, the three of them sat around the large dining table, remaining silent for a long time.
‘Now our situation is a bit complicated, and our relationships are a mess. Especially after the Dragon Mother revealed that secret, things have become incredibly awkward.’
“Can you tell me exactly what happened now?” the Dragon Mother asked.
“Listen…” Jukkido Simon was chewing on roasted meat and suddenly found herself speechless, not knowing where to begin her explanation.
“She awakened her Dragon Breath, and the first thing she did was sever her link with me, crush my Grip, and throw me into the Dead Sea. She said she was going to seek her freedom and couldn’t bring an ugly Demon Sword into the God and Demon Academy,” Feini explained on behalf of Jukkido Simon.
“You?” The Dragon Mother was stunned by what she heard. “Is that true? Did awakening your Dragonflame burn your brain out?”
“I… I…” Jukkido Simon was at a loss for words.
“With the Demon-Slaying Sword, you could easily sweep aside all enemies. You wouldn’t have been suppressed and beaten by me, someone who could instantly kill an old hag like me,” the Dragon Mother said.
“Mother, you haven’t used your full strength yet, have you? I don’t believe you aren’t hiding some abilities,” Jukkido Simon said.
“Don’t try to change the subject. You are the stupidest Ancient Dragon I have ever seen,” the Dragon Mother scolded. “I can’t believe you actually gave up the Demon-Slaying Sword just to go be a clown in that Witch’s cage.”
“The God and Demon Academy is the Nameless Witch’s Gu-raising ground. All the Humanoid Magic Beasts are nothing more than tools for her to absorb pleasure,” Feini explained. “You certainly provided the Nameless Witch with enough entertainment. Your stupidity made her incredibly happy.”
“I’ve realized it now. I know I was wrong,” Jukkido Simon said.
“…” Feini didn’t say anything more.
‘If simply knowing you were wrong could settle everything, what would be the point of the police? Anyway, I’ll just stubbornly refuse to die and I won’t forgive Jukkido Simon. I’ll just wait for the day I can step on her head.’
“I want to talk to the Demon Sword alone.” The Dragon Mother had a headache from being so angry at her foolish daughter. No wonder the girl had been willing to fight her just to keep the secret; she had actually done such a stupid thing in secret.
“This… fine.” Jukkido Simon hesitated for a moment before dawdling out of the small hall. She went outside to clean up the destroyed Iron Sunflower Garden.
Afterward, only the wheelchair-bound Feini and the Dragon Mother remained in the small room.
She stood up and walked toward Feini. Feini turned her wheelchair and backed away, wary of the woman who had given birth to Jukkido Simon.
‘Wait, strictly speaking, the woman who gave birth to Jukkido Simon is me… Oh crap, that’s just too weird.’
“Don’t come any closer. I’m afraid of you people,” Feini said.
“Without a host and without our Dragon Blood, how can you be alive? And how can you speak?” The Dragon Mother stopped and asked curiously, “The blood of my Crimson Dragon Clan is special. It contains a large amount of minerals, which is why it can be parasitized by a Demon Sword.”
“I maintain my survival with minimum energy. I don’t necessarily have to drink your blood to live; I can survive by eating a bit of Miners’ Ration,” Feini replied.
“Don’t hate Jukkido. She’s just brainless like that,” the Dragon Mother said.
“She killed her father and tried to kill her mother, and you’re actually telling me not to hate her?” Feini retorted.
“The brains of Crimson Dragons are naturally flawed. We cannot empathize. Even with kin who share our blood, it is a fight to the death,” the Dragon Mother explained.
“Aren’t you empathizing with your daughter quite easily right now?” Feini shot back.
“I have already broken away from the Demon Sword. I have become much more rational. I am doing this for the continuation of our race,” the Dragon Mother said.
“Are you implying that the reason you were irrational was because of me? That doesn’t seem right either. After that jerk Simon crushed me, she didn’t seem any smarter. She’s indecisive, punched me into becoming a disabled person, and then kidnapped me back to serve me. I hate it so much. Do me a favor and just kill me,” Feini said.
“You cannot die. You are the hope for our clan’s reproduction. Without the Demon Sword, our Crimson Dragon Clan will go extinct.” The Dragon Mother shook her head.
“I won’t help you reproduce anymore. I won’t give birth to any more children for you,” Feini also shook her head.
“Then I cannot easily let you leave, nor can I let your body recover,” the Dragon Mother said cruelly and calmly. “You are best in this current body. You will never escape our grasp again. Anyway, Jukkido Simon can still move even if she’s disconnected from you.”
‘It looks like they plan to tie me up and use me for that! How despicable!’
“Then we’ll see about that.” Feini wasn’t afraid. She pushed her wheelchair and left, acting as if she were in her own home.
Then, she was pushed back into a small room by Jukkido Simon. The doors and windows were locked, and she was directly placed under house arrest.
‘It seems like escaping on my own won’t work. Even if my body recovers, it won’t be enough. But I can indeed feel my strength returning rapidly. Why is that?’
……
On the other side, the Dragon Mother and Jukkido Simon sat on the steps in front of the main entrance.
The two odd family members began to have a heart-to-heart.
“Tell me everything that happened, and don’t hide any details from me. I need to figure out exactly what’s going on,” the Dragon Mother said. “This concerns the continuation of our race.”
“Actually… Feini gave birth to a daughter for me. She’s probably a new Crimson Dragon bred from my blood,” Jukkido Simon said.
“A new Ancient Dragon can be bred with just blood now?” the Dragon Mother exclaimed. “What are her characteristics?”
“Her entire body is covered in a type of pitch-black, fine Dragon Scale. She has absolute resistance to magic, but her resistance to physical attacks isn’t great. Also, her wings haven’t fully grown yet, so she can’t quite fly,” Jukkido Simon explained.
“An inferior dragon. She definitely absorbed too little flesh and blood. Such a being is not worthy of becoming a new Crimson Dragon,” the Dragon Mother snorted.
Her current attitude was exactly the same as Jukkido Simon’s when she first saw Little Black. Her first reaction was one of contempt.
But Jukkido Simon had already suffered once from this instinctive dragon reaction toward offspring.
She immediately introduced her further: “But she was only one year old and she already defeated a mature Red Dragon.”
“…” The Dragon Mother’s brow furrowed.
“When I was ten, I was still only the size of a hand and playing in the mud. It felt like she grew to her full form in just a few months, and she’s already capable of fighting me,” Jukkido Simon said.
“Is what you’re saying true?” the Dragon Mother asked.
“Of course it’s true. I’ve already defeated you; what need is there for me to lie to you?” Jukkido Simon said with very little tact.
“Follow me.” The Dragon Mother stood up solemnly and led Jukkido Simon back to the storage room inside the house.
With one hand, she lifted a large floor tile.
Below it lay a dark, deep tunnel.
