“Kicked the barrier to pieces with one foot?”
“Another woman?”
“Miss Shamu, what’s going on?”
The old priests looked at each other, whispering and murmuring among themselves.
“She is our teammate. Do you remember the coffin we brought in? Inside was an injured teammate. I cannot disclose any other information,” Qingshamu explained.
Having said that, she rose coldly and took Heiqi Long with her, rushing toward the Magic Department.
The other Holy Knights and priests did not dare say much else. They could only follow the Former Hero back toward the Saint Lisa Academy.
At that moment, Xueyuedai had already been arrested. She was suspected of colluding with the Northern Demon King and being his accomplice.
Xueyuedai could only remain silent as she was thrown into the Church Dungeon, seemingly doomed never to see the light of day again.
If her true identity were discovered, she would likely be vaporized on the spot.
Qingshamu, White Feather Dove, and Heiqi Long found her and personally interrogated her, unfolding a Moonlight Barrier to block out any sound.
“Xueyuedai, Jukkido Simon abandoned you,” Qingshamu said coldly.
“I know. The moment I saw the Magic Clone she left behind, I knew she had abandoned me. My illustrious reputation is ruined. It turns out all my schemes were for nothing,” Xueyuedai said with a bitter smile.
It could only be said that no amount of intrigue or trickery was of any use in the face of raw power.
The fox had spent the whole journey thinking, yet she was no match for the clumsy dragon’s sudden inspiration to simply snatch Feini away.
Now that she was left behind in the Holy Court Secret Base, she was like a bird with clipped wings, trapped in a certain-death situation.
“Do you know what Jukkido Simon is planning?” Qingshamu asked.
“She said she wanted to take Mother back to form a family that consists of only her and Mother,” Heiqi Long added from the side.
“What is she planning? It is obvious. She wants Feini, so she kidnapped her,” Xueyuedai said dismissively.
“And you? What is your goal? I have thought about it carefully. If you wanted to infiltrate the Human Race to cause destruction, there would be no need for you to come here. Why did you help Jukkido Simon?” Qingshamu asked again.
“I also want to find Feini,” Xueyuedai said helplessly.
“Why?” Qingshamu asked.
“Because… I am pregnant.” Xueyuedai touched her stomach, looking slightly embarrassed.
“If you are pregnant, why are you looking for Feini? Can she deliver your baby?” Qingshamu still did not realize what was happening.
“The child is Feini’s,” Xueyuedai said.
“?” “?” “?”
The trio—Qingshamu, White Feather Dove, and Heiqi Long—all craned their necks at once, their faces full of confusion.
“It was during that last hunt in the wild. Well, um, she and I ended up alone… she mentally… cough, cough… after that, I became pregnant,” Xueyuedai said awkwardly.
“Feini is a girl. How could she get another girl pregnant?” Qingshamu questioned.
“What is so strange about that? Didn’t Feini bear a child for you? You are both girls as well,” Xueyuedai pointed out.
“Well, that is true, but something still feels off.” Qingshamu was momentarily left speechless by the retort.
Feini was the Parasite Demon Sword and naturally possessed the Fertility Ability, but she actually had the ability to make others pregnant as well?
It turned out Fox Fox had come looking for her husband. Her goal was no different from Jukkido Simon’s. Even the Red Dragon had come to find her husband.
This left Qingshamu and the others quite speechless. Their own ‘wife’ had suddenly gotten someone else pregnant.
How were they supposed to face this? It was far too bizarre.
“Then do you know where Mother will be taken by the Red Dragon?” White Feather Dove did not care about her evil father’s antics; she only cared about her mother.
“There are only two places a Red Dragon would go: the Demon King’s Army or Dragon Spine Mountain,” Xueyuedai began to analyze.
“But based on my understanding of Jukkido Simon, she absolutely loathes the Demon King’s Army. That is a ragtag group of mindless, bloodthirsty monsters that reeks of plague and death. She will not take Feini there.”
“Then does that mean Jukkido Simon will take Feini to this so-called Dragon Spine Mountain? What kind of place is that?” Even as a Former Hero, Qingshamu had never heard of such a place.
“That is the nest of the Crimson Dragon Clan,” Xueyuedai responded with a grim expression.
Qingshamu fell silent upon hearing this.
“However, there is no need to worry. The only surviving Crimson Dragons should be Jukkido Simon and her mother. We only need to face one more Red Dragon,” Xueyuedai said with a forced smile, attempting a bit of humor.
“There is another Red Dragon!” White Feather Dove felt a headache coming on.
“Can you lead us to Dragon Spine Mountain?” Qingshamu asked.
“Of course I can, provided you can get me out of here,” Xueyuedai said. “Are you going to go and snatch Feini back? Though I feel like we will just be wiped out.”
“Even if we are wiped out, I will take Feini back,” Qingshamu said as she slowly stood up.
“Fine. I do not want that Jukkido Simon character to have things go so smoothly, either. I will help you. We can worry about what comes next after we rescue Feini,” Xueyuedai also stood up and shook hands with Qingshamu, reaching a temporary cooperation agreement.
They set off immediately. Qingshamu secretly rescued Xueyuedai from the cell and returned to her small chapel to gather all their equipment, preparing to leave St. Lisa Academy.
However, when they reached the main gate of the Magic Academy, they found the Holy Knights already standing in wait.
The Purple Bishop and the old priests had also blocked their path early on.
“Miss Shamu, Hero, you cannot simply leave, and you certainly cannot take the prisoner with you,” the bald Purple Bishop said helplessly.
“We are going to save our teammate. She is the only one who can lead the way,” Qingshamu said.
“You are showing contempt for the laws of our Church!” an old priest accused.
“I am going to save someone!” Qingshamu roared.
Beside her, Heiqi Long and White Feather Dove immediately took up offensive stances.
They would break through by force the moment the Former Hero gave the command.
No one could see even a hint of hesitation in their eyes. There was not a shred of respect for the Church’s laws—only a determination to kill anyone who stood in their way.
The other high-level saintly officials might have felt differently, but the Holy Knights lowered their weapons one after another.
They had no will to fight and simply moved aside to make a path.
By nature, knights valued loyalty and brotherhood. Seeing the Former Hero and current Hero so determined for the sake of their teammate moved them deeply.
They had no desire to obstruct them, viewing the orders from their superiors as nothing more than pedantic nonsense.
“You all…” The Purple Bishop was stunned by this sight, knowing he could not stop the two generations of Heroes.
“Master Bishop, Master Priests, and fellow Holy Knights, thank you for taking care of us during this time,” Qingshamu said, giving them due respect.
“Sigh, be careful on the road.” The Purple Bishop shook his head helplessly and stepped aside.
“Here are some High-level Blood Potions. Take them with you,” the old priests added, offering gifts as they let them pass.
And so, a four-person team consisting of two generations of Heroes decided to return to the Demon Domain.
Their destination: Dragon Spine Mountain.
