Following the map, Muxuan rushed quickly toward the direction of the Church.
He had not managed the Church for a long time and urgently needed to know about Bishop Beikeze’s recent decisions.
Most importantly, now that his strength had reached the Deep Sea Level, he could finally perceive the statue of the Goddess!
This meant that he could now use the statue to directly bestow power upon the Faithful.
Combined with the abundance of Faith Power he currently held, Muxuan planned to discuss with Beikeze how to comprehensively improve the Church’s combat capabilities.
The goblins were certainly not limited to that one location, and a branch of the Dwarf Tribe had also set its sights on him.
If it were just him, it would be fine, but the problem was that the Church had already taken in so many people.
Relying solely on himself, Qiansitelin, and Lucerchi, they definitely could not protect everyone.
Furthermore, considering the tragic conditions within the Prison, other factions would likely refuse to take in so many people, or they might even use them as disposable materials for experiments.
At the very least, he needed to condense Light Cores for Gelifende and the others so they could promote to the Shallow Water Level.
The strength gap between the Deep Black rank and the Shallow Water Level was too vast; there was simply no comparison.
Only after reaching the Shallow Water Level would Gelifende and his companions truly have the ability to establish a foothold in this Black Mist.
*Knock, knock, knock—*
Soon, Muxuan and Qiansitelin arrived at the Church.
Following the guidance of the priests and nuns, they reached the door of Beikeze’s office.
Qiansitelin felt somewhat surprised by the state of this newly rebuilt Church.
She originally thought the Church would still be struggling, but she had not expected it to have already reached this level of organization.
Muxuan was also pleasantly surprised.
He was very satisfied with the system of priests and nuns Beikeze had established.
Indeed, he could not do everything himself.
Aside from major Church events, other matters needed to be organized by people at the lower levels so that he could free up a significant amount of his time.
One could say that Muxuan was a person who disliked being restricted.
If he had not taken over the authority of the Pope, he wouldn’t have wanted to deal with such trivial matters at all.
Even now, he had promoted Beikeze specifically to handle these affairs.
“Please enter.”
As the knocking sounded, Beikeze’s steady voice quickly drifted from inside the room.
With a creak, the door opened to reveal Beikeze bent over a desk, writing furiously.
“Bishop Beikeze.”
Muxuan’s voice quickly reached Beikeze’s ears in the small room.
Beikeze stopped writing and rubbed his aching wrists before rising to bow to Muxuan. “Your Holiness.”
Looking at Beikeze’s exhausted appearance, Muxuan silently apologized in his mind.
He was not a management talent and could only delegate these tasks to his subordinates, but he hadn’t expected it to be this taxing.
“And this is?”
Noticing Qiansitelin standing beside Muxuan, a flash of admiration flickered in Beikeze’s eyes, but he remained mostly composed.
He had truly never seen someone as beautiful as Qiansitelin, but that did not mean he would lose his focus.
He was not that superficial.
“A former Silver Moon Knight of the Church, Qiansitelin.”
After explaining her identity succinctly, Muxuan continued, “Where have the Light Nodes been placed within the settlement?”
The Light Nodes were the wooden sticks infused with Faith Power.
Before leaving, Muxuan thought Beikeze might need to expand the settlement, and since the Faith Power on the original nodes would weaken over time in the Black Mist, he had left a large supply for Beikeze.
Judging by the current size of the settlement, there likely weren’t many nodes left in storage.
Beikeze glanced thoughtfully at Qiansitelin before quickly retracting his gaze.
“Your Holiness, please wait a moment.”
With that, Beikeze immediately returned to the desk and pulled out a larger map from underneath.
When Beikeze unfolded the map, Muxuan whispered a few words of praise.
The map was incredibly detailed; almost every location was covered in notes, and the nodes had been marked in red by Beikeze.
“Forget it, we don’t need the wooden sticks anymore. Prepare several stone pillars; we will use those to replace them from now on.”
Stone pillars were more durable than wooden sticks, and this time, Muxuan intended to significantly strengthen the power of the nodes.
If the current Light Nodes could only greatly weaken Gray-rank entities of the Strange, slightly weaken Deep Black-rank ones, and have no effect on Shallow Water-level entities with condensed cores, then after being infused with more Faith Power, these nodes would be able to weaken even the Shallow Water-level Strange.
This would serve as another layer of insurance for the settlement.
“Understood, Your Holiness.”
Beikeze thought for a moment and then nodded.
He quickly grasped Muxuan’s intention.
“Beikeze, prepare to send out a notice. A large-scale prayer will be held tomorrow.”
“Does that include the two outposts as well?”
“Yes.”
Hearing Muxuan’s affirmative answer, Beikeze hesitated for a moment before saying, “The outpost that Kamani went to was only established recently, and they are shorthanded. Holding a prayer now might be… I believe Your Holiness knows the severity of the situation.”
“The prayer will proceed regardless,” Muxuan said firmly.
“Your Holiness, may I ask why?”
Taking a deep breath, Beikeze cast a subtle glance at Qiansitelin.
His Holiness couldn’t possibly have such a risky idea out of nowhere.
“The Goddess’s glory has shone more brightly upon us. She will respond to our prayers and bestow her gifts through the statues.”
“The Goddess’s glory?”
Beikeze fell silent for a moment, then sighed and said, “Your Holiness, there are still many of the Strange wandering out there that haven’t been cleared… I’m afraid it really won’t work. Moreover, the Goddess’s statue hasn’t been prepared yet…”
Now, it was Muxuan’s turn to fall silent.
In Muxuan’s mind, he viewed his two SSR-tier combatants as Gelifende and Kamani.
They were the Church’s vital combat strength.
As for Qiansitelin… she was UR-tier.
Lucerchi and Mosen, after all, were not members of the Church.
“Your Holiness, I happen to have a Meditation Method~”
Qiansitelin, who had been silent the whole time, suddenly spoke up.
“A Meditation Method?” Beikeze asked in surprise.
“Yes, a Meditation Method. It is the foundation of those mages. However, my specific Meditation Method is tailored specifically for the Church.”
“What do you mean?” Muxuan asked, his curiosity piqued.
“The Meditation Methods used by mages cannot perceive the elements of light or darkness. But my Meditation Method is designed to only sense the light element.”
As Qiansitelin spoke, she looked at Beikeze with a smile.
“Lord Bishop, would you like to try it?”
