Believe it?
Or not?
That was a very serious question.
Red stared at the recording crystal in his hand for a long time, unable to snap out of it.
From what he knew of Letia, that girl generally didn’t lie, or rather, most of what she said was half true, half false.
Did this mean that inside the recording crystal, there was a part with her in it?
No, wait.
Why was he so excited to see her part, anyway?
Just a silly Letia.
Refresh successful.
Thinking this, Red was about to toss the recording crystal aside when his communication crystal rang again.
But this time, it wasn’t a call, but a message—a message from Letia.
“There really is Bishop Otto in there, you know.”
Seeing this, Red, who had just managed to straighten his back, slumped over again.
No way, this was too much for a brother to handle.
He glanced around and saw Litt slowly coming down from the second floor, so he said, “Litt, call me when you’re done with your bath.”
With that, he hurriedly retreated into his room.
The pursuit of truth, the yearning for the meaning of life, made Red move even faster than usual.
Litt seemed a bit confused by how anxious Red looked, but she just gave a puzzled “Okay.”
Once inside his room, Red couldn’t wait to reach out his hand.
As a Creator Mage, crafting a playback crystal was a piece of cake for him.
Since there was no one else around, and to get the best viewing experience, he even crafted a Large Screen 8k playback crystal to watch everything in detail.
“I’ll trust you one last time…”
Red swore, if Letia dared to trick him again this time, he’d definitely let her taste what it meant for strict discipline to make a dutiful daughter.
The playback device was quickly assembled, and Red placed the recording crystal inside.
The familiar scene of peeping appeared before his eyes again.
Bishop Otto, dressed as a woman, was in the bedroom, posing in front of a mirror.
Though he had no idea how Letia got her hands on something this bizarre, well… knowing her personality, it wasn’t all that strange for her to mess with him like this.
Not knowing where the real “white-silk Bishop” segment Letia mentioned was, Red had to watch patiently, bit by bit.
Thankfully, the video was only ten minutes long—not too bad.
Finally, as the progress bar approached the ninth minute and Red’s patience was about to run out, the screen suddenly went black.
Right after, the scene in Bishop Otto’s bedroom switched to another location.
Since he’d been to this place before to have Letia step on his back, Red recognized it as Letia’s bedroom.
The perspective shifted from peeping to a selfie.
Letia, unashamed, struck an “M” pose, and in front of her was a cute little yellow chick.
That little yellow chick was perfectly positioned right in the center.
For a Saintly Priest to strike a pose like that—even if Letia was the main character—it was enough to make anyone’s blood surge.
When Letia squeezed the little yellow chick between her feet, Red’s gaze became even more focused.
Even though there was no real action, thanks to that pose and the white stockings, it was even more tantalizing than if there had been.
Accompanied by Letia’s teasing, playful voice, Red found himself admiring it as if it were a work of art.
He watched it over and over, losing all sense of time.
He had no idea how long had passed.
Even when footsteps sounded outside the door, Red didn’t notice at all.
When the door was knocked on and pushed open, his phone rang.
Red picked up his phone.
It was another message from Letia.
“How was it? I’m really satisfied with this one!”
Red replied with a voice message, his tone very serious, “Not bad at all. This one’s going into my collection. But if there’d been some real action, it would’ve been even better.”
After responding, Red fixed his gaze back on the video.
“Ah~ ha~”
Letia’s faint gasps echoed in the room.
At that moment, Red suddenly felt a chill at his back, as if a cold wind had blown in.
He turned to look and saw Litt standing behind him at some unknown point, dazed and at a loss.
When Red realized Litt was behind him, he was stunned, his brain unable to keep up with his mouth.
Instinctively, he blurted out:
“…Want to watch together?”
“Per… pervert!”
Face flushing red, Litt plopped a Fruit Basket onto Red’s head and ran back to the living room as if fleeing for her life.
As for how Letia and Litte’s messages could arrive at the same time?
Scheduled messages.
That’s just how she rolls.
“Thanks a lot!”
Red grumbled, face full of black lines as he took the Fruit Basket off his head.
“Now, not only has my bro misunderstood me, but Litt does too!”
“I don’t see what’s so misunderstood about it,” Letia’s laughter on the other end of the call was so intense she was nearly out of breath.
“I really can’t imagine… what were you even thinking when you said that to Litt?”
“Maybe the spirit of sharing?”
Red said uncertainly.
Honestly, his brain had short-circuited at that moment.
Since it was such a good thing, he just instinctively invited Litt to watch.
Then he got a Fruit Basket on his head.
And only just now took it off.
“So how am I supposed to explain this to Litt now? As the main culprit, you’d better come up with something.”
“Well… how about you record one with Litt too?”
Letia teased, her voice full of mischief.
“Maybe then she’ll feel better about it.”
“You’re making sense… Not!”
Red definitely wouldn’t take that suggestion.
If he actually did, he could forget about living here ever again.
“But thank goodness you didn’t let her see the part with the white-silk Bishop, or else… hehehe~”
Listening to that annoying voice, Red had every reason to suspect her real intention from the start was to embarrass him in front of Litt.
Red didn’t want to ask how she got such private footage of Bishop Otto—after all, she was a battle priest from the Holy Inquisition.
Assassination and infiltration were child’s play to her.
Forget Bishop Otto—even someone as well-protected as Litt, with enough money, Letia could probably get her private life photos too…
Wait, why did that suddenly sound a little tempting?
Red rubbed his chin, thinking seriously for a moment.
Forget it.
He was, after all, a decent man, and couldn’t do something like that.
Back to the main point—how was he going to explain just now wasn’t intentional?
Or rather, how was he supposed to explain that what he’d just seen was all a misunderstanding?
On the other end, Letia seemed to read Red’s mind, and added, “It wasn’t a misunderstanding.”
“None of your business, scram.”
If Letia had been there, Red would have stuffed a banana in her mouth to shut her up.
He hung up, and after thinking for two minutes, finally decided he had to face Litte honestly.
There was no point lying to Litt.
Just like she’d said before—as long as he was honest, she wouldn’t get mad.
So…
Just say it outright.
Resolved, Red returned to the first-floor living room, prepared for the worst.
When he saw Litt sitting on the sofa, he hurried forward and said, “Litt, listen to my explanation! That recording crystal was given to me by Letia. There’s nothing between me and her, not what you’re thinking at all!”
To his surprise, Litt didn’t look the least bit angry.
Her face was still adorned with an angelic smile.
“It’s fine, didn’t I say before? For adventurers like you, it’s normal for comrades to also be… well, friends with benefits, too.”
Why was it that now she didn’t believe his words?
“No, no, Litt, you have to believe me! Letia and I really are innocent. You know she’s always playing pranks on me—remember last time?”
Red was still trying to prove his innocence, but Litte shyly turned her face away.
“But… she even spread her legs for you to see…”
Letia!!!
Red collapsed to the floor, unable to get up.
Luckily, Litt really wasn’t angry.
She seemed to be very open-minded about this sort of thing, and pulled Red up with a warm smile, saying,
“But I trust you, Red.”
What a good little white nun…
What an angel to be so moved by…
And then there’s Letia—how could there be such a gap between two members of the clergy?
Red was already a little teary-eyed, but with Litt’s help, he managed to stand up from the floor.
Before Red could continue explaining, Litte spoke up.
“Anyway, I believe you, Red. Now hurry up and go take a bath, or the water’s going to get cold.”
“Okay!”
Red, as if receiving a soldier’s command, dashed off to the bathroom at full speed.
But even so, he still felt a bit restless, soaking in the tub, unable to calm down.
Come to think of it… was this the water Litt had just used?
The thought suddenly flashed through Red’s mind, but he quickly shook his head.
“What are you thinking, calm down! Don’t act like a creep…”
Red splashed some cold water on himself, doing his best to calm his turbulent mind.
After a good long soak, he finally left the bathroom.
When he returned to the living room, he found it very quiet.
Litt was leaning against the sofa, perfectly still.
Red still wanted to prove his innocence, so he sat down beside her, just about to say something, when Litt’s body leaned over toward him.
It was only then that Red realized Litt had already fallen asleep, and because he’d just sat down and jostled the sofa, her body had toppled against his shoulder.
The girl was completely defenseless, and in this moment, Red was at a total loss for what to do.
