Really not the quest they shone brightest in, not that I think they had much better option. But tricking a kid into trusting you then sacrificing their only friend… That’ll weigh on them a while, especially since these are real people to all appearances.
As for the relationship dynamics, wooooo do I sense some hard conversations down the line. /None/ of them are handling things well and it can only blow up if they don’t deal with it.
