Boom–!
In Lin Mo’s hand, the spear, shrouded in the power of Divine Oracle, thrust straight at Xu Guangming’s face.
As the tip pierced forward, the air shrieked beneath the overwhelming force.
Yet, facing this ruthless, unstoppable strike, Xu Guangming neither dodged nor retreated.
Those arms of his, now utterly covered in jet-black veins, suddenly crossed before him!
Clang!!!
A deafening crash erupted—far too heavy to be mere flesh and bone!
The sharp spear tip was actually blocked by his arms, wrapped in that strange black network.
The recoil from the clash numbed Lin Mo’s arm, while Xu Guangming slid back half a step, crushing several steps beneath his feet, leaving a web of cracks in the stone.
In the next instant, the Divine Oracle [White Jade Capital] invaded Xu Guangming’s body, causing him to stiffen uncontrollably for a heartbeat.
And in that very moment—
Chu You’s figure, ghostly swift, dashed forward from Lin Mo’s right.
The peach-hued glow in her eyes bloomed to the extreme, almost flowing out, unleashing an invisible mental disturbance.
Xu Guangming, fighting desperately to regain control over his body, slowed once again.
She kept her body low, almost skimming the ground, the military blade in her hand wreathed in the same peach-colored fluorescence.
Like a viper flicking its tongue, she struck at Xu Guangming’s exposed waist—the gap left as he blocked the spear—with perfect precision.
Puchi.
No resistance at all.
The blade slipped through his waist, cutting through those seemingly tough black veins and twisted flesh as if it were a red-hot knife through chilled butter.
White Jade Capital plus the Fox Demon’s origin power—a double dose of agony!
Foul, viscous black blood gushed from the groove in the blade, dripping onto the shattered ground with a corrosive hiss.
“Ugh…”
A suppressed groan squeezed from Xu Guangming’s throat.
From the wound came not just searing pain, but the numbing drain of his strength sealed and diminished by the [White Jade Capital], and the spiritual corrosion of the Fox Demon’s origin.
In the next moment, the black veins clinging to Xu Guangming’s body writhed like enraged serpents, whipping and swelling madly.
The thickest black vein—its tip sharpened like a spear, brimming with malice—flashed with the glimmer of death, stabbing straight at Chu You’s chest as she faltered slightly after her strike.
This attack was blindingly fast, moving beyond the eye’s limits—a deadly wind roaring in!
Almost at the exact moment Chu You’s blade stabbed into Xu Guangming’s side, Lin Mo seemed to have foreseen it all.
He didn’t retract his spear—instead, riding the force of the block, he twisted his wrist and thrust, sending the spear shaft snaking precisely toward Chu You’s empty left hand.
The timing was flawless to the extreme!
Chu You didn’t even glance—her left hand, as if by instinct, gripped the shaft firmly.
“Up!”
Lin Mo gave a low shout, his core tightening, muscles tensing, and with both arms, he sharply lifted the spear’s tail.
With that explosive force, Chu You, grasping the shaft, seemed weightless, springing nimbly upward along its arc.
That deadly black vein whipped beneath her fluttering clothes and the soles of her shoes, missing her by a hair, and stabbed viciously into the spot where she’d just stood.
In midair, Chu You twisted gracefully, landing steadily at a higher turn of the stairs.
Her peach-colored eyes stared coldly down at Xu Guangming below.
As she tossed the blade, her body shot out like an arrow.
She raised her hand as she leaped, and the blade landed neatly in her palm, reversed grip.
“Lin Mo, shoot him!”
Chu You barked out, her toes tapping down—an explosive surge of core strength propelling her forward, the blade angled for Xu Guangming’s exposed back.
At the same time, Lin Mo’s golden eyes suddenly flared with even more intense light, forcing Xu Guangming to squint instinctively.
Boom–!!!!
Twin beams of gold converged, slamming into Xu Guangming like an enraged pile driver.
This was the ultimate move Lin Mo and Chu You had perfected back in university—one that Chu You had affectionately dubbed “Meat Sandwich.”
The inspiration came from a bored question Chu You once asked: [When you go all out and your eyes turn gold, why does that happen?]
Lin Mo answered honestly: [My body’s full of Divine Oracle power. It just leaks out sometimes.]
And so Chu You’s mischievous idea was born…
[In that case, can you compress all that power and just shoot it from your eyes in a burst?]
Lin Mo tried—and it worked.
Its greatest strength: total surprise and overwhelming impact.
Thus, with Chu You barely exerting force, the blade, driven by the massive push, plunged through Xu Guangming’s flesh, bursting straight out from his chest.
Lin Mo withdrew, resetting his stance.
His crimson-gold eyes and Chu You’s peach-hued pupils met for an instant—no words needed; perfect understanding passed between them.
Xu Guangming lowered his head with difficulty, staring at the blade piercing through his heart.
His mouth opened and closed, black liquid trickling from the corners of his lips.
“You think… this is enough to—”
Xu Guangming’s voice trembled, hoarse and low as if from the abyss.
Slowly, he raised a hand, wrapped in squirming black veins, and seized the blade protruding from his chest.
His fingers tightened, knuckles creaking unbearably.
Kill, me, with, this–!!!!
The last words exploded in a furious roar, carrying boundless hatred and inhuman madness.
In the instant the words fell, a sudden change erupted!
The black veins covering his body, once like tattoos, were suddenly injected with frenzied life—swelling and writhing.
They transformed into countless wriggling, dancing black tendrils, tearing free from Xu Guangming’s body like a nest of starving serpents, madly seeking anything nearby to latch onto and consume.
The stairway was pierced and eaten through, the metal handrails devoured and corroded, dust and paint from the ceiling raining down, swallowed up by the crawling darkness.
Even the blade that skewered him was not spared.
In the blink of an eye, the sticky, tar-like black veins crept along the hilt and blade, like maggots on bone, racing toward Chu You’s not-yet-released hand.
Chu You’s pupils shrank, her reaction instantaneous—
Just as the black veins were about to touch her fingertips, she let go, springing backward several paces to narrowly avoid the bizarre infection.
“Tch, he can even ‘lock health’ and enter phase two?”
Chu You muttered as she landed, her tone more eager than tense.
“What, does he think he’s the only one with a second form?”
The next moment, the peach glow in her eyes blazed up like fire.
A wave of demonic energy, wilder and more primal than before, exploded from within her.
Vmmm—
The air trembled faintly.
Behind her, a massive, bushy fox tail materialized, swaying gracefully—each swing sending out ripples of peach-colored psychic force.
Chu You’s feet lifted silently from the ground, her body hovering in the air, hair flowing as if caught in an invisible breeze.
Meanwhile, Lin Mo, facing Xu Guangming’s terrifying transformation, showed not the slightest ripple of fear.
Almost as soon as Chu You retreated, he bent low, slamming his palm heavily onto the ravaged ground.
“White Jade Capital: Tower of Heaven!”
His deep, clear command rang out.
In an instant, countless intricate golden sigils flared from his palm, bursting forth with the pure, searing light of the sun.
The golden lines spread with unprecedented speed, weaving outward and constructing a vast golden domain that engulfed most of the stairwell—like a living tide, pressing precisely up to the edge of Xu Guangming’s frenzied black veins.
Ksssssh.
Black and gold clashed ferociously.
There was no earth-shaking explosion, only a sound like cold water hitting boiling oil—fierce and seething.
The black veins, once rampaging and all-consuming, shrank back the instant they touched the golden light—hissing, as if in agony, fading and shriveling before Lin Mo’s domain like a routed army.
Lin Mo slowly straightened, standing at the center of the golden field, crimson-gold eyes cold as he gazed at the writhing darkness at the border—like a god overlooking the demon in his cage.
Suspended in the air, Chu You flicked her fox tail, peach eyes gleaming with the light of the hunt, reflecting the golden domain below.
Victory’s scales were tipping, unstoppably, toward Lin Mo and Chu You.
Lin Mo cocked his head slightly, exchanging a glance with Chu You behind Xu Guangming.
Both nodded at once—utter understanding.
Just as their eyes met, Divine Oracle and demon power resonating, ready to deliver the final blow…
BOOM!!!
The ceiling above exploded without warning.
Chunks of concrete and steel rained down like a storm, thick dust instantly filling the stairwell and obscuring all sight.
A wave of pollution, even darker and deeper than Xu Guangming’s, as if it carried all the world’s malice, surged in through the gaping hole like a flood.
The next instant, a shadow moved so fast it left only afterimages, trailing nauseating corruption as it dove down from the breach!
Its target was clear as day…
Swish!
A hand, covered in hyperactive, liquid-like black veins, seized the motion-sluggish Xu Guangming—stilled by the suppression of [White Jade Capital].
With inhuman brute force, it hurled Xu Guangming out through the gap in the wall Lin Mo had broken before, tossing him like trash.
Xu Guangming’s warped body vanished into the darkness beyond the wall.
In a heartbeat, Chu You and Lin Mo’s expressions changed, both springing into action—one became a peach-colored streak, the other wreathed in golden flames—racing for the breach.
Vmmm!
The shadow that had tossed Xu Guangming shifted at a speed beyond sight, ghosting into place to block the only exit.
Simply by standing there, the darkness and evil swirling around it became an invisible wall, sealing inside from out.
As the dust settled, the outline of the barrier became clear.
Darker and deeper than even Xu Guangming’s, its black veins no longer just covered it—they wove and entwined over its body, forming an elaborate and eerie robe like some evil god’s ceremonial garb.
Six wings, formed of pure darkness and twisted veins, unfurled behind it, arrogant and blasphemous in their spread.
Two massive, skirt-like appendages, grown from proliferating veins, swayed behind it with no wind, radiating a maddening, polluting pulse.
Long hair floated in the miasma of evil, while its face was veiled in ever-churning black mist—no features visible.
Only within that fog did two blood-red points of light glow, holding endless malice and madness, like the gaze of the abyss, locked firmly onto Chu You and Lin Mo.

“Leave now, or else…”
It slowly raised a hand, entwined and parasitized by black veins, its voice heavy and hoarse.
“Die!!”
