“Your Highness, hide behind me!”
Seeing the rebels fighting like cornered beasts, charging at the three of them, Victoria felt bitter inside.
She had warned Willis not to risk herself, but she refused to listen.
All for the sake of a single Elf—now look at them, trapped in danger!
But as a Guard Knight, Victoria voiced no complaints.
She drew her sword, standing before Willis like a valkyrie.
Ahead, over a hundred rebels stomped over corpses, their eyes red as they charged.
At such close range, there was no time to use high-level Magic that required preparation.
Moreover, since the three of them were small targets, there was a high risk of accidentally harming their own allies.
So, the mages among the rebels could only attack with minor Magic.
Victoria suddenly pushed Willis, knocking her and Winnie Kanasha aside.
An Ice Shard and a Wind Blade swept past where they had just stood, carving a terrifying trench.
“Be careful, Your Highness!”
Victoria shouted, gripping her sword as she rushed into the rebel vanguard.
In a single clash, two heads flew, and two chests were slashed open.
Before the screams even sounded, Victoria leaped back, dodging a spear thrust aimed at her.
As she rolled, three bursts of Magic exploded in the muddy ground along her path, throwing up clods of earth.
Steadying herself, Victoria charged the enemy once more.
Meanwhile, on Willis’s side—
She cracked her Flame Whip, and the two leading rebels screamed as it lashed their faces, collapsing in agony.
A burnt smell filled the air.
She released Winnie, dropping her at her feet.
Willis stepped forward, her pale fingers quickly forming a Magic circle.
[Attention, that person is using Light Magic!]
Pssht!
Real Eye only needed a glance, and the rebel’s movements became clear.
The Petals of Sakura Killing Speech were nearly invisible in the battlefield’s firelight, and their small size made them easy to control!
Most importantly, they were razor-sharp!
Willis manipulated them, and in an instant, slit the throat of the rebel preparing Light Magic.
He collapsed, clutching his neck in disbelief.
The cherry-pink light flashed like a meteor among the crowd.
So swift, none could follow!
[Direct thrust! Diagonal slash!]
[These two are moving in unison, preparing to attack together!]
Real Eye whirled, flooding Willis with information.
Her mind raced, absorbing the data and converting it into battlefield intel!
Under the gaze of Real Eye, all attacks slowed before her.
Spears thrusting, iron swords slashing, Magic blasting from the sides…
Willis moved like an actor on a stage, rehearsed a thousand times.
A twist avoided a lethal spear.
A tilt dodged Thunder Magic that crackled past her ear.
She leaped forward—two swords swung and missed.
Willis seized the chance—her Air Blade flicked upward, slicing open two rebels’ skulls!
Winnie Kanasha collapsed weakly, staring in disbelief.
She remembered the assassination attempt on Willis days ago.
Back then, Willis had used those same bizarre movements to evade her Deadly Magic Arrow enhanced with Spirit Force!
Now, the surging sea of rebels seemed unable to harm her at all!
The Imperial Princess moved through the rebel ranks with ethereal grace, every action light as a fairy.
She was killing, yet in Winnie’s eyes, it looked like she was merely taking a stroll!
Compared to Winnie’s shock, the rebels facing Willis were utterly terrified.
“No! This can’t be!?”
A spear thrust from behind Willis—but she dodged as if she had eyes in the back of her head.
A slight shift, and the attack missed.
Before the rebel could even process his shock, an Ice Arrow—originally aimed at Willis—pierced the chest of the spear-wielding soldier.
Seeing his own ally struck by friendly fire, the rebel who’d cast the Ice Arrow broke down.
“You—you—you… Are you human or a ghost?!”
Willis smirked coldly.
“Half-human, half-ghost. Godly spear…”
“Ahem, sorry, wrong script.”
She sliced off a rebel’s arm with her Air Blade.
Willis ducked sharply, and a rebel’s wild sword swing killed another of his own allies.
She stabbed again, Air Blade cutting open the man’s chest, blood spraying.
With the City Defense Army’s battle cries and slaughter, the rebels’ numbers dwindled.
Kebo had thought his remaining hundred men could easily capture Willis and Victoria, but instead—
He was crushed from both sides, his forces collapsing in an instant!
“Trash! Trash! You’re all trash!”
Kebo howled in despair, charging at Willis.
But before he could get close, a sharp light severed his thigh.
Kebo crashed to the ground face-first.
The metallic taste of blood filled his mouth, mixed with rotting leaves.
Kebo tried to play dead, but a burning whip lashed his back.
“AAAAAAHHH!!!”
“Hmm… If you can scream that loudly, why are you lying on the ground?”
Willis strolled over, eyeing Kebo with interest.
The burly man now seemed like a helpless chick before her.
Around them, the fighting had ceased.
The rebels were either captured or dead.
The battlefield had fallen quiet.
Except for his screams.
Despair, hatred, and killing intent flickered in Kebo’s eyes.
But the next instant, fire lashed his face again.
This time—his eyes.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”
Kebo writhed on the ground, clutching his scorched eyes with his only remaining hand.
“My eyes! My eyes! AAAAHH!!”
“What were you staring at just now? As a prisoner, you dare peek under an Imperial Princess’s skirt?”
By the heavens, he hadn’t seen anything!
Only Willis’s beautiful boots!
This wicked woman, if she wanted to torment him, she should just say so!
“Willis, you evil woman! May you die a terrible death!”
Kebo cursed furiously.
But Willis had no patience for him.
“You, come here!”
She pointed to a City Defense Army soldier nearby.
“Your Highness!”
He saluted respectfully.
Willis casually picked up a spear from the ground and handed it to him.
“Kill him. Oh, and don’t let him die easily.”
The soldier grinned.
“Heh, Your Highness, leave it to me. I’m good at this!”
He took the spear, and under Willis’s gaze—curious, then shocked, then disgusted…
The soldier thrust the spear into Kebo’s lower body.
“AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!”
Hmm, this scream was even more satisfying to Willis.
And even more disgusting.
She quickly left, ordering others to clean up the battlefield.
“Your Highness…”
Victoria, covered in blood, hurried over.
“Are you all right?”
“Perfectly fine.”
Willis spun in place.
There was barely any blood on her.
Victoria breathed a sigh of relief, praising her.
“Watching Your Highness handle the rebels with such skill was astonishing.”
“To think you possess such prowess and courage!”
Willis merely waved her hand.
As Victoria stared in confusion, Willis grabbed her, looking odd.
“Your Highness?”
“Don’t talk… I can’t hold it anymore… Ugh!”
Seeing Willis vomit all over her own shoes, Victoria’s eye twitched.
