Natalie looked at the thugs who were holding weapons but too scared to approach her, and she was growing impatient.
After all, killing people who didn’t intend to resist was far too boring in her eyes.
“If you’re not going to make a move, then I will!”
The moment she finished speaking, Natalie’s gaze directly locked onto one of the middle-aged men.
The next instant, that man’s body burst into a Blood Mist, just like the first thug.
Seeing that man’s fate, the already terrified thugs became even more fearful, daring even less to step forward.
They desperately wanted to run, but the previous incident had proven that escaping from a Demon like Natalie was impossible.
“Tch, what a bunch of cowards. From the looks of you, you must be plenty arrogant when bullying ordinary people, right? What’s wrong? Now that it’s your turn, you’re scared? I’ll give you five seconds. If you’re still standing here after five seconds, those two will be your fate! Five, four, three…”
As Natalie counted down, one of the thugs finally mustered his courage, raised his weapon, and charged toward her.
With someone taking the lead, the other thugs suppressed their fear and rushed at Natalie, desperate to survive.
“Now this is interesting.”
The first to charge swung his weapon at her, but before it could hit, Telekinesis forcibly stopped it.
Even the Brave, Hadia, couldn’t cut Natalie, let alone these bullies who only preyed on the weak.
Realizing his attack was useless, the fear he had just suppressed surged back.
He tried to pull his weapon free, but it wouldn’t budge.
“You’ve got some nerve!”
With those words, Natalie flicked her finger, sending him flying.
That thug crashed through the courtyard wall, flying dozens of feet.
While she dealt with him, the other thugs had surrounded her from all angles.
They thought that attacking simultaneously from every direction might break through her defense.
But as their weapons swung toward Natalie, every single one of them froze mid-motion, just like the first one.
Then, all at once, they were blasted away.
In the blink of an eye, a third of the dozens of thugs lay dead.
Of course, for those who dared to attack her, Natalie rewarded them with a painless death.
But for the cowards who only trembled in place, she had no intention of letting them off so easily.
She planned to make them die in agony, just as they had tortured the refugees.
Watching his underlings being slaughtered one by one, the Thug Leader panicked.
If this kept up, sooner or later his turn would come.
And because the rest of the thugs refused to charge in, his panic only grew.
After all, Natalie had said that if they didn’t attack, she would kill everyone on the spot.
In his terror, the Thug Leader turned his gaze toward Emily and Xilina, who were standing at the entrance of the Mansion.
The moment he saw them, what he thought was a brilliant idea popped into his head.
He assumed that Emily and Xilina’s strength couldn’t possibly be as absurd as Natalie’s.
If he could just seize them and use them as hostages, he might survive!
Of course, it was a plan that anyone with half a brain would know was impossible.
On a normal day, he would never have done such a thing.
But the Thug Leader had lost all rational thought.
Clutching at this straw, his mind was consumed by executing the plan!
He hurriedly called to the few underlings standing beside him.
But they had no intention of listening to him anymore.
With death looming over all of them, the thugs didn’t give a damn about their so-called leader.
In fact, they hated him fiercely.
If he hadn’t brought them here, they wouldn’t be in such a hopeless situation!
Seeing his men ignore him, the Thug Leader fumed.
In his mind, if they followed his plan, some of them might survive!
Even in his fantasy, he knew a few cannon fodder would still die.
But right now, all he cared about was his own survival!
He couldn’t care less about the others.
Since his men wouldn’t obey, he’d have to do it himself.
He kept his eyes fixed on Natalie, waiting for her to start torturing another thug, planning to rush over and grab Emily and Xilina.
Natalie, seeing that the remaining thugs were too scared to approach, felt deeply disappointed.
If they had the courage to face death, she might have regarded them slightly better.
“I won’t let you die so easily!”
As if to prove her words, she used Telekinesis to lift one of the thugs into the air.
Then, the thug’s limbs suddenly twisted.
They bent at unnatural angles, creaking horribly.
The thug screamed and wept in agony.
Faced with such a gruesome scene, Emily quickly moved to block Xilina’s view with her body.
She would have liked to cover Xilina’s eyes with her hands, but that would clearly be an act of protecting Xilina.
And that God might issue Divine Punishment again!
So Emily settled for blocking Xilina’s line of sight with her body.
That way, she could claim it was just her positioning.
Xilina herself was so startled that she turned her head and closed her eyes.
Emily was in a similar state.
Since joining the Hero Party, she had seen plenty of dead bodies.
Her courage had grown compared to when she first arrived in this world.
But such a brutal scene was the first she had ever witnessed—it was truly horrifying.
So Emily dared not look directly either, turning her gaze away.
The other thugs who weren’t being tortured stared in shock as their comrade slowly twisted into a pretzel.
Just as everyone’s attention was fixed on that one thug, the Thug Leader decided the moment had come!
He charged straight at Emily and Xilina, weapon in hand!
He planned to capture them as hostages while Natalie was busy tormenting his underling!
