Chapter 64: Hero Saves the Beauty

Millie had no idea what this thing was.

She didn’t know its characteristics or its weaknesses. If Elena were here, perhaps she could have offered some guidance, but Elena had long since fled.

‘I suppose it’s a half-finished product of a Demon God?’

She hadn’t expected those witches to be so insane that they would use their own lives to construct a body for a Demon God.

Millie waved her hand, and countless magic circles bloomed beside her.

In an instant, a golden spear materialized in her hand.

The shaft was sturdy and wrapped in golden lightning.

“You witches won’t even let people rest in peace after you’re dead!”

Millie held the spear in one hand, her eyes sharp as she charged toward the monster.

The monster swung its tentacles to counterattack, and the mana in its body was gradually becoming more organized. Millie didn’t dare be careless and seized the time to launch a fierce assault.

Light flashed as the golden spear collided with the brownish tentacles.

Dull thuds echoed through the forest as the two sides fought intensely.

Suddenly, taking advantage of her distraction, the monster abruptly thrust a tentacle out from underground. The tentacle wrapped around Millie’s ankle. Millie failed to react in time and lost her balance.

She didn’t fall to the ground; instead, the monster hoisted her into the air.

Millie struggled constantly as she was lifted upside down.

Her head felt dizzy, but she still gripped her weapon tightly.

The monster’s body trembled as if it were mocking Millie. Then, tentacles gathered from all directions, heading toward Millie’s private areas.

Millie’s face turned bright red.

Not only the monster, but even Millie was stunned.

Millie ignored it and looked back.

She saw a woman in a white holy robe standing proudly under the moonlight.

Millie froze for a moment, and then a smile bloomed on her face.

“Sister Philousa! —”

It really was Philousa. She reached out toward Millie, maintaining her spellcasting posture. She opened her mouth, looking at the situation on the battlefield with trepidation.

“Millie, are you alright?”

“I’m fine…”

Only then did Millie remember. Why was she being so uncharacteristically affectionate? Why did she call her “Sister Philousa”? Calling her “Sister” was just too embarrassing, wasn’t it?
