Ilus’s consciousness drifted in the tide of oxygen deprivation. Her vision began to dim, and slowly, numerous golden specks of starlight appeared.
The girl’s last shred of consciousness understood that this was the omen of her end.
Her flailing legs gradually lost their strength, her toes pointing straight. One of her exquisite leather shoes slipped off, revealing a trembling ankle wrapped in torn stockings.
Her lungs were like a bellows being clenched and torn. Every ineffective contraction brought searing pain. Her survival instinct made her claw frantically at the hand around her neck, leaving red marks, but she couldn’t move it an inch.
Iliana’s fingers did not tighten enough to completely cut off her breath; instead, they were precisely controlled at the threshold of suffocation.
Black spots with starlight flickered in Ilus’s vision, and the roar in her ears was like the rising and falling tide. She could feel warm liquid uncontrollably sliding from the corners of her eyes. Those were physiological tears, mixed with the tears of despair and humiliation!
Suddenly, a more violent shudder came, causing even Iliana’s eyes to widen.
Perhaps in extreme oxygen deprivation and fear, certain muscles that should not have relaxed suddenly went slack. The lining of her skirt was instantly soaked, and the warmth spread quickly, leaving dark, irregular stains on the expensive fabric.
Along with an unspeakable sense of shame and loss of control, a faint scent belonging to the inside of her body filled the air.
“Hehe, Young Lady, maybe I should bring you a diaper next time. How about that?” Iliana teased.
Ilus didn’t pay attention to her humiliation because she could no longer hear it. Her delicate body spasmed violently, and then all her struggles became weak and chaotic, as if part of her soul had drifted away ahead of time.
Her hands, which had been pounding, fell limply, her fingertips trembling slightly. As her enticing legs quieted and were about to go stiff, the grip on her neck suddenly loosened.
“Cough — ! Cough, cough, cough!!”
A large amount of air rushed in, bringing a wave of dizziness and even more violent coughing.
Ilus slumped on the mattress, her body curled up, her shoulders heaving violently. Tears mixed with physiological saliva smeared her face in a mess. Her throat burned with pain, and every breath brought a bloody scent and searing ache.
However, before she could catch her breath, those bone-thorn tentacles coldly pressed against her exposed skin.
“Do you remember this feeling, Young Lady?”
Iliana leaned over, her shadow completely enveloping her. The tip of a tentacle moved dangerously, sliding down the fragile curve of her neck, across her heaving chest, and finally stopping at the position of her rapidly beating heart under her thin nightgown.
Through the layer of fabric and skin, that cold, hard sensation was like the God of Death knocking at the door.
Ilus couldn’t answer her question at all. Right now, there was only one thing on her mind: breathing.
Although she was free from the restraint, she still trembled and gasped uncontrollably. A sense of exhaustion from surviving the ordeal rose from deep within her body, along with a deeper fear of the next bout of suffocation.
Even now, her eyes were unfocused and could not focus. Everything in her sight was incredibly blurry; she could only passively feel the presence of the tentacles. These tentacles didn’t exert force immediately; they only applied a faint pressure, reminding her of the fact that her life was completely under control.
“Not answering? It seems… you haven’t completely remembered yet.”
Iliana whispered like a sigh, her fingertips gently caressing Ilus’s tear-stained cheek. Her movements were almost affectionate, but her actions were the complete opposite.
In the next second, the tentacles suddenly wrapped around and tightened.
“Wuu — !!”
This time, the sense of suffocation came faster and more completely. The vision she had mostly recovered was instantly stripped away, and her hearing was left with only the roar of her own rushing blood and the desperate pounding of her heart.
Her body arched upward uncontrollably, her toes pressing hard against the bedsheets, her joints curling. In her remaining consciousness, there was only the dual pressure on her neck and chest like a yoke, and the demon’s breath right beside her.
The tentacles on her neck and the pressure on her chest increased at the same time, precisely cutting off the supply of oxygen.
After an unknown amount of time—maybe only a few seconds, maybe a few minutes—the pressure disappeared again.
The rushing air no longer brought simple relief but was mixed with violent coughing, dry heaving, and a soreness as if her whole body had been crushed. The girl turned her face away, coughing heart-wrenchingly. Tears and nasal discharge flowed uncontrollably, soaking her disheveled white hair and the expensive sheets.
And her body was still wrapped and fixed by the tentacles; she was even deprived of the right to curl up to alleviate the pain. She could no longer think; only the instinct for survival drove her actions now.
Iliana leaned in to leisurely enjoy her wretched appearance. She reached out a finger, gently hooked a strand of Ilus’s wet hair stuck to her forehead with sweat, and mischievously pinched the girl’s nose. The little mouth below immediately opened wide, gasping for air, so much so that even her cute lilac tongue could be seen clearly.
This time, Iliana didn’t take any more action. She just quietly watched the girl fixed to the bed greedily breathing air.
After quite a while, seeing Ilus’s breathing gradually steadying, Iliana rested her chin on her hand and said softly, “Young Lady~”
This time, Ilus reacted. However, when she looked at Iliana, her eyes were full of fear. Even Iliana coming slightly closer was enough to make her tremble even harder.
It seemed the effect was about right. Iliana withdrew her tentacles, and Ilus immediately curled into a ball, shielding her neck with her hands. Her back rose and fell violently, suppressed sobs leaking from between her fingers.
‘Oh dear, I seem to have broken her a little. This won’t do… And seeing the Young Lady stressed like this, the lactic acid buildup will definitely affect the flavor. I’m not very happy about that.’
‘But it doesn’t matter.’ The demon revealed an evil smile. ‘I just need to perform a Memory Erasure on this period of the Young Lady’s memory, and it will be fine.’
With that thought, two tentacles stretched toward Ilus’s ears again.
Ilus felt a cool stream trickle into her mind. It wasn’t intense pain, but a strange, detached numbness. Immediately, her consciousness sank into a warm, viscous darkness, as if returning to the womb. All the terror, suffocation, shame, and pain were gently wrapped, swallowed, and erased by that darkness.
Looking at Ilus before her, whose eyes were rolled back and still had traces of tears at the corners, Iliana gently lifted her chin and smiled slightly.
“Young Lady, go to sleep~ When you wake up, you’ll forget everything. Although, by then, you shouldn’t have the courage to resist me anymore~”
Gently picking up Ilus, the demon looked down and kissed the girl’s smooth forehead before slowly walking toward the bathroom.
The warm spring water would wash away the red marks and bruises on her skin. She wouldn’t remember a thing…
