Colin stared thoughtfully at the pattern on Liyami’s lower abdomen.

Liyami’s frantic movements gradually came to a halt.

Silence filled the air.

After an uncertain amount of time, Liyami slowly spoke, “I’m telling you, this is actually the Assassin Mark. Do you believe me?”

Hearing this, Colin gave Liyami a long, deep look before replying, “Do you think I’d believe that? What kind of Assassin Mark looks like this?”

“It was that Magic Circle! It turned my Assassin Mark into a Silver Pattern!”

Liyami tried to explain.

But Colin cut her off with a single question.

“What about that Magic Circle?”

“It…it disappeared.”

“How am I supposed to know you’re telling the truth?”

“I can prove it to you! This is just an Assassin Mark; it can only transmit information. It has no other use!”

Listening to Liyami’s hurried explanation, Colin looked at her again, then fetched a mirror and handed it to her.

“You should look at yourself first.”

Liyami hesitated for a moment, then took the mirror and looked at herself.

What she saw was a flushed, seductively flushed face, as if she was about to burn up.

Only then did Liyami realize her body felt intensely hot, and her desire had surged uncontrollably.

Looking at Colin before her, she almost lunged at him.

Seeing that Liyami had finally noticed her abnormal state, Colin asked again, “So, do you think this is an Assassin Mark or a Silver Pattern now?”

Liyami was silent for a moment before stubbornly replying, “M-maybe this is a new function of the Assassin Mark!”

Colin was speechless.

He now understood everything.

The more Colin thought about it, the more frightened he became.

If she used this ability to wreak havoc…no, he had to stop her here and now!

Colin began secretly gathering his strength.

He planned to keep Liyami distracted with conversation, and the moment she let her guard down, he would strike and end it immediately.

Meanwhile, Liyami was unaware of the looming danger.

She was still pondering how to convince Colin she truly was Liyami.

Suddenly, a bright idea flashed through her mind.

She remembered a foolproof way to gain Colin’s trust.

When she first received the order to assassinate Colin, Liyami had investigated him.

Although Colin had discovered her spying, she had uncovered his secret in the process.

Thinking of that secret, Liyami confidently asked Colin to lean closer.

Though suspicious, Colin cautiously obeyed.

Liyami’s cherry-red lips moved softly by Colin’s ear.

Listening to her sweet voice and feeling her breath brush his hair, Colin couldn’t help but feel a tingling sensation.

However, as Liyami’s lips moved faster, punctuated by her occasional giggles, the tingling turned into goosebumps.

“Do you remember? Over a year ago, because your movements were suspicious, I secretly followed you and saw you sneaking off to that Small Idol’s Underground Concert. You even bought her Peripheral Goods…You don’t want anyone else to find out about this secret, do you~”

“That’s enough! Don’t say anymore, I already know.”

Colin wiped the sweat from his brow as he stared at Liyami.

He had nearly unleashed his gathered power just now but had stopped himself at the last moment.

Unaware that she had just passed the gates of hell, Liyami smiled brightly and said, “Now, you believe I’m Liyami, right?”

Seeing this, Colin helplessly spread his hands.

“Alright, I believe you. That’s enough, okay? Don’t bring it up again.”

Relieved that Colin finally trusted her, Liyami let out a breath.

But just as she relaxed, Colin’s question cut through the moment.

“So, why did your Assassin Mark turn into a Silver Pattern? Are you sure it was really that Magic Circle? Does it have such a powerful effect?”

Liyami’s face instantly fell.

“What else could’ve done it, that damned Magic Circle!”

She paused and reexamined her body.

“Now, it seems fine. Strange.”

Colin frowned at Liyami.

“Activation time unknown, effect unknown, side effects unknown. Looks like we need Sifney and the others to hurry.”

Liyami glanced around, then asked, “Do you still have any Communication Magic Scrolls?”

“No, the previous stock is all used up. Sifney has been busy and hasn’t had time to make new scrolls.”

Communication Magic is an advanced spell, usually usable only by mages above level 50.

Once reaching level 60, one can create disposable Communication Magic Scrolls.

But within the Kingdom, these scrolls are tightly controlled.

Even if you’re level 60, without the proper certification, you can’t make them—or the Kingdom Knights Order will pay you a visit eventually.

In short, Communication Magic Scrolls are rare in the Kingdom, and almost impossible to purchase.

Without any scrolls, Colin and Liyami could only wait for Sifney and the others to return or to contact them first.

“Sigh, I guess we just have to wait. By the way, have you told them where we’ll meet?”

Liyami slumped over the table, exhausted.

“I did. The place is the House the Kingdom recently awarded me. According to our agreement, they should be back by tomorrow morning.”

Colin glanced at her and then asked, “By the way, don’t you need to change your clothes?”

“Clothes?”

Liyami paused, then remembered she had just spilled tea all over herself.

Plus, the clothes she was wearing had become quite loose due to her body shrinking.

She definitely needed a change.

Standing up, she asked, “Where’s the bathroom? I want to take a shower and change.”

Colin pointed to a spot and raised an eyebrow.

“Do you have any clothes to change into? Those you wore before probably don’t fit anymore.”

At this, Liyami stopped moving and slowly turned around.

“Uh, could you go out and buy me a new set of clothes?”

“I don’t even know your current size.”

Silence fell once more.

Liyami looked down at her clothes, the tea stain soaked in and making them feel sticky.
