It was a shame that the heavens wouldn’t let her find any peace…
“Everyone, let’s start with some self-introductions.”
The homeroom teacher of First Year Class Two was a rather disheveled Witch mentor.
She immediately had everyone stand up one by one to introduce themselves.
Wasn’t this going to be the death of someone as gloomy and introverted as her? This was exactly the kind of thing she dreaded most.
“My name is Gaia! My race is Cyclops!”
“My name is Sheldon, and I’m a Shadow Fiend.”
The Majin students all had extremely macho personalities, standing up loudly and confidently stating their names and races.
Feini found it a bit odd—these Demonkind students were calling themselves names that the Human Race had given them, but somehow it felt off.
Soon it was time for the student occupying the protagonist seat right in front of her: Shijietang Simon.
She stood up gracefully, cleared her throat, instantly drawing everyone’s attention, then began her introduction.
“Hello, classmates. It’s a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Shijietang Simon. As for my race… I’m afraid I must keep that confidential for now. I cannot casually reveal my true identity; this matter has already been reported and approved by the Academy.”
Simon’s tone was smooth but carried an undeniable air of arrogance.
Her words instantly silenced the room, even the proudest Demonkind students were left speechless, barely daring to breathe.
“That’s right. Her identity has been certified by the Academy and is classified as a Demonkind secret that cannot be disclosed at will,” confirmed the Faceless Witch homeroom teacher.
This was quite the opening lesson for all the students: the Prophecy of Demon Nobility.
The Demonkind consisted of thousands of races, naturally divided into high-class, mid-class, low-class, and inferior classes.
Bloodline meant power, and power was everything.
Next was Feini’s turn…
“I-I-I-I’m Feifeini·LuoluoluoSi, my race is… is… [Trap Slayer Sword].”
She stuttered, hair disheveled, head bowed, radiating a timid and weak aura—a stark contrast to the confident introductions before.
“Hahaha! A trap imp, really?”
“How does such a lowly thing even get admitted here?”
“What kind of bastard is she carrying inside her belly?”
The classroom’s atmosphere instantly lightened, filled with laughter as everyone mocked her together.
The turnaround had come too fast—the last person was a mysterious figure who wouldn’t even reveal her race, and now the next was the lowest-level little Demonic Beast.
The so-called Weapon Trap Imp was a type of low-class Demonic Beast that disguised itself as a Human weapon.
Usually, they waited for inexperienced novice warriors to think they had found a useful tool and let their guard down—then they would suddenly strike.
Their raw power was almost nonexistent.
Feini quickly sat down, keeping her head low and silent, pretending to be miserable.
In reality, the plan had worked perfectly.
She had successfully hidden her true race, avoiding excessive attention from the others.
Well, not exactly hidden—Trap Slayer Sword and Demon-Slaying Sword were actually the same race, so she was actually downplaying her identity.
The introductions continued…
“My name is Xueyuedai Emma. Although I don’t have to keep my identity secret like Simon, I’d prefer not to reveal my race for now.” The pink-haired dormmate lazily slouched in her seat, casually tossing out the line without even standing.
“Next.” The Witch homeroom teacher showed no reaction to the rude attitude, her expression inscrutable.
Clearly, this squinty-eyed pink-haired student’s identity was no ordinary matter.
The last student was the mysterious white-haired girl dormmate.
She stood up slowly, and it felt as if the entire classroom’s temperature dropped several degrees. Coldly, she said, “My name is Qingshamu·Ailuma. I am a [Headless Rider].”
Finally, the introductions were done, and the Witch mentor could begin the lesson.
The course was very comprehensive—covering most of the races in the Demon Domain, as well as strategies for dealing with the various Human professions.
But this was the God and Demon Academy—most of the Demonic Beast students weren’t exactly eager to sit and listen to lectures.
Feini was the only one interested, flipping through the textbook with fascination. The material was captivating and became her most entertaining way to pass the time in this otherworld.
She never imagined that after crossing over to this strange world, she’d become a studious child.
—————
“Ring ring ring!”
The lunch break bell rang.
Feini grabbed a teaching book and immediately dashed out the back door of the classroom.
The other Demonic Beast apprentices were preparing to mingle and get to know each other better, but she had no intention of interacting with anyone.
Why did Feini enter the Academy knowing it was life-threatening?
Because once enrolled in the God and Demon Academy—even as a lowly apprentice beast—she would receive a large stack of Food Coupons every month for free.
She might get beaten to death, but she definitely wouldn’t starve.
“[Ruby Burger].”
She went to the Lower-Class Demon Cafeteria and ordered a forbidden dish hidden on the last page of the menu.
“Are you really going to order this?” Even the gluttonous Demonic Chef was shocked and came to the counter to ask again.
“I’m a Weapon Trap Imp—I only eat ore,” Feini answered.
The Demonic Chef personally cooked up the legendary Ruby Burger for her, which was basically a bread bun stuffed with red ore—a hellish delicacy.
Feini took the Ruby Burger, left the counter, and sat in a corner of the cafeteria, eating her lunch while reading her book. Life was comfortable.
Suddenly, she noticed all the other Demonic Beast students rushing to the door to see what was happening.
Feini happened to be sitting by the window, so she stood up to take a look.
A group of five dazzlingly beautiful figures appeared on the campus avenue, instantly drawing all the Demonic Beast students’ gazes. They were the five star freshmen from Dormitory 302.
Just to mention, the Golden Fang Beast Sisters were not in their class—they were assigned to the neighboring Third Class. They would definitely be gathering there after lunch.
So Feini was completely isolated by her dormmates.
But the next moment she saw the five of them enter the Advanced Restaurant next door. It was obvious they were on a completely different level from a roadside little Demonic Beast like herself.
Not following them was the right choice; otherwise, things would have become even more awkward.
Her free Food Coupons simply couldn’t afford the Advanced Restaurant meals.
Everything was going smoothly—she had distanced herself from the protagonist’s harem and successfully avoided entanglement with them.
Feini ate her fill, seized the opportunity to slip away, completely missing her dormmates, and returned to the dormitory storage room to take a nap—contented.
Although she had endured contemptuous looks from all teachers and students along the way, only the devilish chef in the cafeteria had shown her any kindness.
Even so, campus life was already much lighter and more pleasant than she had imagined.
