“Some people look glamorous on the outside, but how do you know what they’re like in private?”
“Heh heh heh… Are you trying to target me?”
“Everyone in this game combined wouldn’t even be qualified.”
The Ordinary Maiden was gloomy, but she was far too confident.
It was a level of confidence that felt incredibly bloated, as if she were playing in a completely different league.
Yi Mo analyzed some information from those few simple sentences.
It seemed the Ordinary Girl Village Chief and Dieyu had already met in private.
Either Dieyu had suffered a loss, or the two of them had reached some sort of temporary truce for the time being.
Yi Mo needed her help, so he didn’t plan to dwell on the topic.
He looked at the tomatoes in her hand and said, “Those tomatoes look pretty fresh.”
“I’ve been at the Back Hill and haven’t eaten yet. I’m practically starving to death.”
“I can barely stand. How about I go into your hut and sit for a while?”
Actually, Yi Mo had already eaten.
He had intentionally taken several steamed buns and flatbreads yesterday.
Although they had turned hard by today, they were enough to satisfy his hunger.
He had eaten when he left this morning, and while washing his hair just now, he had treated two pieces of rock-hard flatbread like toasted crackers and wolfed them down.
Because he had been in a hurry, his stomach was still feeling a bit uncomfortable.
Hearing his request, a murderous glint flashed in the Ordinary Girl Village Chief’s eyes.
“I have a cleanliness obsession. I hate any living thing entering my territory.”
“And what’s with the act?”
“Tsk… Where did you get that hunting rifle?”
“I know better than anyone that you aren’t the Hunter.”
“Is it because you don’t have any food to eat today?”
Even though he had been seen through, Yi Mo didn’t care.
He was going to deny it to the end anyway.
“I’m perfectly innocent. Don’t go framing me!”
“Hey, hey, hey. Let me ask you something.”
“Why are you so confident?”
“The daytime is for voting people out. Simply put, as long as you control enough votes, anyone can be eliminated regardless of their identity.”
“No matter what, I won’t be the one eliminated at the Judgment Meeting today.”
“Pikachu should be a Good Guy; I can tell.”
“And you are most likely a Good Guy, too.”
“If we eliminate Cthulhu today, the Good Guys will have basically won.”
“Why are you acting like you’re holding a grudge against everything?”
“Don’t vote for me today. Vote for Cthulhu.”
“Can’t we just win this game?”
The Ordinary Girl Village Chief’s face darkened.
She snorted coldly.
“Heh… why are you so sure I’m a Good Guy as well?”
“In the same camp as you?”
“I am not on your side.”
“Our ways of thinking are completely different.”
“The more you place your hope in others, the closer you get to death.”
“Don’t bother me. I will definitely cast my vote for you tonight.”
As she spoke, she walked directly toward her room.
Yi Mo wanted to ask her more questions, but she interrupted him instantly.
“Dead shut-in! Throw away those unrealistic fantasies and stop disgusting me!”
“Or else I’ll stomp on you again!!!”
Slam!
She shut the door heavily, giving Yi Mo no chance to speak.
Yi Mo shrugged and muttered to himself, ‘Man, I haven’t even asked if you’d be my girlfriend yet, and you’ve already rejected me.’
‘None of the women in this game can be underestimated!’
Dieyu didn’t seem to feel the tension of the game at all.
Every word she spoke was flirtatious, making it impossible to know what she was truly thinking.
Yi Mo sometimes thought that it was lucky she was an actress and a model.
If she were an assassin, he would have probably died countless times already.
Interacting with her was extremely comfortable, even addictive.
But…
That was exactly why Yi Mo was particularly wary of her.
He believed she was too dangerous.
This… was a Death Game!
Dieyu made it impossible for anyone to feel hostility toward her.
She could even easily sway people’s votes.
This already proved her strength.
When she finally revealed her hidden claws, few would likely be able to withstand it.
Compared to Dieyu, the Ordinary Girl Village Chief was far too honest.
She was honest to the point where almost everyone in this game would find her repulsive.
Yet, despite being disliked, she had survived until now without any sign of being targeted.
Her level of skill was also self-evident.
Yi Mo sometimes wondered if he had misjudged her.
Perhaps she was Cupid or one of the Lovers, and keeping her distance was just a tactic to avoid suspicion.
In the end, he might be the one played to death.
Thinking of this, Yi Mo rubbed his brow and stopped pondering.
Tonight, his only goal was to figure out how to get Cthulhu eliminated!
‘Sigh… Pikachu and Taoqimao are definitely easier to talk to.’
That was, assuming they weren’t hiding anything either…
‘If everyone in this game were like the Ordinary Girl Village Chief and Dieyu, it would be too difficult!’
‘I’ve achieved my goal. Time to go find Pikachu.’
The Ordinary Girl Village Chief was determined to vote him out; she had said so clearly.
Although he hadn’t secured her vote, at least Cthulhu hadn’t taken it either.
For now, on the surface…
Yi Mo controlled 5.5 votes.
Taoqimao, Dieyu, Unrivaled, Pikachu, and his own 1.5 votes.
Cthulhu only had Baiduren’s vote, totaling 2 votes including his own.
Things had reached this point.
Yi Mo believed that tonight was basically in the bag.
“In the bag… right?”
Yi Mo looked up at the dark sky and murmured.
Numerous torches in the Village lit up automatically after dark.
The autumn wind whistled.
The weather was very chilly after the heavy rain.
The short-sleeved shirt Yi Mo wore was quite thin and damp.
He couldn’t help but shiver and sneeze.
“Achoo!”
He instinctively hugged his shoulders, feeling the chill, and shook his head.
‘I might catch another cold at this rate…’
‘My physical constitution is really pathetic…’
After muttering, he went to his Thatched Hut to grab two hard buns and went to find Pikachu to discuss tonight’s matters.
He also wanted to get her something to eat.
Pikachu had been busy with him for nearly the whole day and probably hadn’t eaten anything yet.
Even though the buns were hard, Pikachu ate them with gratitude.
She ate them with gusto.
“Hey, thanks, Shiba Daye.”
“If we get out of here alive, you have to contact me. I’ll treat you to dinner!”
“I’ll cook for you myself!”
She said as she stuffed a slip of paper with her phone number into Yi Mo’s hand.
Yi Mo shook his head and said faintly, “I hope so.”
“Do your best and leave the rest to fate.”
The second Judgment Meeting was about to begin.
***
Before 7:30 PM, basically everyone had arrived near the Round Table.
Cthulhu kept his head down with a worried expression.
At that moment, he was still pestering Dieyu, trying to make her believe he was the Prophet.
“Dieyu, I haven’t made things difficult for you at all these past few days.”
“You have to believe that I’m the Prophet, a Good Guy.”
“That Shiba Daye says he’s the Hunter one moment and the Prophet the next. Is he even believable?”
“I know you might like him or have your eye on him.”
“Sure, ignoring that gloomy face, he’s decent-looking.”
“But you have to realize this is a Death Game!”
“If you lose, you die!”
“If you win, you’ll have plenty of money. You can find any kind of man you want. Why stick with Shiba Daye?”
“If you two are Lovers or in a Cupid relationship, then forget I said anything!”
“But if you’re not, you have to cast your vote for Pikachu!”
“If you like Shiba Daye and don’t want to vote for him, that’s fine, but vote for that Werewolf fat chick!!!”
Cthulhu spoke with effort, explaining desperately.
Dieyu looked troubled.
Seeing Yi Mo arrive, she quickly pushed Cthulhu away with both hands, signaling him to keep his distance.
Then she waved at Yi Mo.
“Hey, hey, Mr. Shiba Daye! Come sit next to me!”
His earnest words were completely ignored.
Cthulhu’s face grew increasingly pale and dark.
The only vote he could count on for certain now was Baiduren’s.
He didn’t want to die!
Seeing Dieyu waving happily at him, Yi Mo said a few words to Pikachu and then sauntered over.
He walked with his usual arrogant stride.
When he reached Cthulhu, he almost bumped into him.
Suddenly reacting, he leaned his upper body back as if he had discovered something bizarre.
He sized up Cthulhu’s pale face with interest and said in a sarcastic tone, “Oh, oh, oh!”
“Isn’t this our great Werewolf Prophet, Cthulhu?”
“I remember this afternoon you were quite the refined, handsome gentleman.”
“Whoa, you were so calm back then!”
“How did you get so pathetic after just two or three hours?”
Hearing this, anger burned in Cthulhu’s eyes.
He clenched his fists tightly, wanting to burst out in a torrent of curses.
