“Whoa, I really didn’t know you were this amazing.”
Jiang Ran scratched her head.
Initially, she had thought Bai Ranran was just a rich girl, but now it seemed she was a talented one.
“Oh, I don’t know that much. This is all just surface-level stuff.”
Jiang Ran’s perception of her shifted slightly.
She hadn’t expected Bai Ranran to be like this.
What about the others?
“It’s actually very impressive. Do you just write programs and sell them?”
“No, people give me requirements, and I do custom work. Anyway, let’s not talk about that. Aren’t you short on money? I have money here. If it’s not enough, I have more.”
Jiang Ran waved her hand.
“No, I can’t take your money. You should keep it for yourself. What do you mean by giving it all to me?”
‘I have enough for myself. If I give it to you, it’ll be plenty. Just take it.’
Bai Ranran smiled and pushed the bank card over.
“You’re bound to run into some difficulties. It’s not worth doing dangerous things just because you’re short on cash. If you really feel bad about it, you can just pay me back once you’ve earned the money.”
“This…”
Jiang Ran didn’t expect Bai Ranran to offer so much money.
After thinking about it, she pushed it back.
“I won’t starve to death.”
“Is that so? But I see you eating such cheap things all the time.”
“Ch… cheap?”
Jiang Ran didn’t expect her to ask that.
It was a rather unique perspective.
“Yeah, you should try to eat better. If you only eat that stuff, you probably won’t be able to keep up with your daily energy consumption.”
“It’s not that bad. I just buy Pinhuofan. I need to save money. You’re a rich girl, so you don’t worry, but I’m just an ordinary person. For me, it’s better to save. But I’m not out of money; I can work if I need more.”
“But I can just give you money. Why bother working? What’s the difference between working for someone else and spending my money?”
Amidst Bai Ranran’s hesitant gaze, Jiang Ran pressed down on her shoulders.
“It’s a huge difference. This is your money; don’t just give it away. I’m grateful you want to help me, but that kind of help will only harm me.”
“Then what is your part-time job? Let me see. I feel like your job isn’t anything good. You haven’t graduated yet, right? Where could you even work?”
Jiang Ran: …
It seemed true.
Her current part-time job really wasn’t great—at least, Tao Xixue kept touching and rubbing her.
If she used that as an excuse to reject Bai Ranran, it probably wouldn’t work.
“If you really want to give me money, I’ll just work with you, and then you can give me some. Otherwise, I won’t feel right taking it.”
Bai Ranran’s eyes widened.
She hadn’t expected Jiang Ran to agree.
She nodded vigorously.
“Okay! If you want to accompany me, that’s wonderful. Actually, there isn’t much to do—I already finished everything. Why don’t you walk around the Campus with me?”
Jiang Ran nodded and followed Bai Ranran.
Calling it a stroll through the Campus was an understatement; it was mostly just following Bai Ranran and eating.
Jiang Ran was being fed by Bai Ranran the whole way.
There was so much food; she really couldn’t finish it all.
“I feel like I’m going to gain at least several pounds following you. There’s way too much. Do you usually eat this much?”
“Is this a lot? I don’t think it’s that much.”
Bai Ranran chewed on a snack.
“Besides, didn’t my mom say to share it with your classmates? Let’s just eat together.”
“That’s not how you eat it. Speaking of which, you eat so much but don’t get fat at all. It’s impressive.”
“I burn a lot of energy. Look at how many steps I’m taking; it’s definitely exhausting!”
Bai Ranran’s attempt to argue her case struck Jiang Ran as a bit cute.
After hesitating, she murmured, “Do you really think this is enough to lose fat?”
“What else? I’m working really hard to lose fat. Besides, this is nothing to me. I’ll do some exercises when I get back.”
‘You, exercise?’
Jiang Ran pinched Bai Ranran’s soft flesh.
This definitely wasn’t the muscle mass of someone who exercised.
At most, she probably just hopped around her room a few times.
Thinking this, Jiang Ran sighed.
“If you can lose fat like this, then pigs can fly. But you really aren’t fat.”
Jiang Ran felt depressed, but then she thought about it—this was a world of beautiful girls, so it was normal.
The two of them walked along the street and soon reached the wide Long Corridor of the school.
This area was mainly planted with Ginkgo Trees.
There were many Ginkgo Trees overhead, and plenty of plants in the surrounding green belts.
Jiang Ran saw some familiar plants and said to Bai Ranran, “Look, these trees are so unique.”
Bai Ranran leaned in to look and noticed there were indeed many.
“They really are.”
Bai Ranran saw a tall, straight Ginkgo Tree.
“I remember reading that Ginkgo Trees would be nearly extinct if humans hadn’t planted them.”
“It seems so. I think it might be related to evolution. I’ve forgotten almost everything I learned in school; I can’t quite remember.”
“This course probably didn’t have many exams to begin with. I’d forgotten everything by the time I graduated too. It’s perfectly normal.”
“Hearing you say that makes me feel much better. You’re so kind.”
“Student Jiang is so polite. Come, open your mouth.”
Bai Ranran held the Mylikes as if she were walking a dog, gripping the chocolate ball.
Jiang Ran was a bit puzzled; for some reason, the pose felt a bit strange.
“I’m not that hungry anymore, Bai Ranran. By the way, aren’t you going to eat a proper meal? You’ll get tired of snacks.”
“But there are only snacks in the bag. I already paid for them. Now, open wide. I’ll feed you.”
“This…”
Jiang Ran hesitated but eventually opened her mouth.
“Ah~”
Jiang Ran bit the Mylikes thrown at her.
After she finished eating, Bai Ranran clapped her hands.
“Good girl!”
“Hey, are you feeding a dog?”
Jiang Ran puffed out her cheeks.
Bai Ranran was really looking down on her.
She was annoyed.
“Then, Student Jiang, do you want to be my good little doggy?”
Bai Ranran covered her mouth, a look of intoxication crossing her face.
Her expression was strangely teasing, and her tone became frivolous.
Jiang Ran was startled and asked, “What are you saying? I’m a person, not a dog.”
“Is that so? Sorry, I was talking nonsense. Jiang Ran, please don’t take it to heart.”
Bai Ranran looked at Jiang Ran’s snowy white neck and licked her lips.
‘I really want to put a collar on her and tie her up…’
As soon as the thought formed, Bai Ranran shook her head.
Goodness, why was she having those kinds of thoughts again?
This was wrong.
Bai Ranran took several deep breaths before finally speaking.
“Um, let’s go check out the Wishing Wall. I haven’t been there in a long time.”
“The Wishing Wall? Does our school really have a place like that?”
“Yeah, it’s for making wishes. Let’s go! While there aren’t many people, there might still be some space!”
