“Out of the remaining people here—Taoqimao, Dieyu, the Village Chief, and Unrivaled—who is the last Werewolf?!”
Hearing this, Cthulhu quickly looked at the four people Yi Mo had named.
It was true.
This game had three Werewolves.
If he couldn’t even name all the werewolves, how could he possibly be the Prophet?
‘The Village Chief Girl might follow me in voting for Yi Mo, so I can’t offend her. Unrivaled is indecisive, but I might be able to convince him to vote for Pikachu. The only ones left to accuse are Dieyu and Taoqimao.’
At this moment, the identities of the Witch and Cupid were still unknown.
Dieyu had always been particularly confident, which led Cthulhu to believe she might be the Witch or Cupid.
He definitely couldn’t target her today.
If she really was the Witch and he claimed otherwise, his words would lose all credibility once she revealed herself.
Cthulhu grit his teeth and finally shouted, “Taoqimao! She might be the last Werewolf!”
Yi Mo nodded as if he had expected that answer and stopped paying attention to Cthulhu.
He walked over to Taoqimao, who looked aggrieved and pitiful.
He patted her head and said, “That Cthulhu guy doesn’t dare offend anyone else, so he’s trying to frame you. He wants you out of the game. So, tonight, don’t vote for yourself anymore. Vote for Cthulhu.”
After saying that, he turned back to Cthulhu.
“Cthulhu, let me ask you one more thing. Who is Cupid, and who are the Lovers?”
Cthulhu froze completely, looking utterly stunned.
‘That’s right… There are still the Lovers…’
Cthulhu had always suspected that Taoqimao was one of the Lovers.
If she was, then the votes of Cupid and the Lovers would all fall into Yi Mo’s hands.
‘I… I’m definitely going to be eliminated…’
His face contorted with a mix of desperation and confusion, unable to find a single word to argue back.
On the other hand, Yi Mo shrugged his shoulders with an air of ease.
“I am the Prophet. I lied on the first day to avoid exposing my identity, claiming I was the Hunter. But Boss Qian didn’t expose me, which made me suspicious. I checked him, and he turned out to be a Good Guy, but he died anyway. I wasn’t sure who the Werewolves were yesterday, either.”
He continued, “Last night, I checked Cthulhu. The reason is simple: I hold grudges. On the first day when Unrivaled came out to criticize me, Cthulhu was the first one to chime in. So, I suspected he was a Werewolf, even though he seemed intimidated by my Hunter claim yesterday. And as it turns out, he is indeed the Werewolf I identified. In my eyes, the three Werewolves are Conan, Cthulhu, and Baiduren. I’ve found them all for you. Of course, I only confirmed Baiduren’s identity after my investigation today. After all, I’m pretty bad at Werewolf Kill. I don’t have much experience.”
Yi Mo spread his hands and added, “Oh, right. Everything I just said could also be a lie. I might still be the Hunter. But I’ll say it again! Werewolves, bring your own heads and see if you can figure it out for yourselves!”
It had to be said that Yi Mo’s performance was incredibly impressive.
He had backed Cthulhu into a corner where the man didn’t even know how to refute him.
Sweat dripped from Cthulhu’s forehead, and his face was deathly pale.
“No… You’re lying… You… You’re lying!”
Cthulhu muttered to himself, his voice trembling.
His previous humility was gone, replaced by a look of sheer malice in his eyes.
At this point, the others were completely unsure if Yi Mo was actually the Prophet.
Honestly, his logic made perfect sense.
Except… if he was the Prophet, where did the hunting rifle come from?
No one could figure that out.
A Prophet with a hunting rifle would be ridiculously overpowered.
Who could possibly handle that?
Dieyu looked at Yi Mo with an undisguised sense of infatuation and admiration.
Taoqimao, meanwhile, was still panicked and didn’t dare look anyone in the eye.
When Pikachu saw that Yi Mo had managed to forcibly turn the tide in such a disadvantageous situation, she ran over and slapped him on the back.
“Sibo, you’re so cool! No, no, I think I’m falling in love with you. When we get out of here, I’m treating you to dinner!”
Pikachu’s heavy hand was almost more than Yi Mo could bear.
He coughed and waved his hand dismissively.
“Don’t, don’t. Don’t jinx it! Anyone could die here. Especially a Prophet like me—I might not even survive the night. Let’s talk about dinner later.”
Yi Mo dodged Pikachu’s hand and let out a sigh of relief.
“Everyone, you know who to vote for today, right? I am the Prophet, and I am a Good Guy, so I will play for the victory of the Good Guys. I don’t think Pikachu is a Werewolf, and I don’t think she and Cthulhu are teammates. This is a Death Game version of Werewolf Kill; I don’t believe a Werewolf would intentionally get their own teammate eliminated during the day. Therefore, Pikachu is definitely a Good Guy. Today, tonight, we vote for Cthulhu!”
Following Yi Mo’s speech, everyone nodded in agreement.
Only Cthulhu was frantically trying to think of a way to turn things around, but the more he thought, the more hopeless he felt.
He was on the verge of going insane.
“Heh, as expected of my boss.A Prophet equipped with a gun? That’s truly badass!”
The professional sycophant, Unrivaled, seized the opportunity to run over and start sucking up.
He was genuinely happy because he felt Yi Mo’s words were flawless and that he might actually lead them to victory.
If he could stay alive, then the previous insults and loss of face were nothing compared to his life.
Pikachu, however, was just as repulsed by Unrivaled as before and gave him a harsh glare.
Seeing her expression, Unrivaled curled his lip.
“Tch, you fat hag. I’m just here to flatter my boss. If he hadn’t proven your innocence, I definitely would have voted for you! Don’t be so fierce. I’m a Good Guy, too! We’re on the same team.”
Although Pikachu couldn’t stand Unrivaled, she knew she had the upper hand and didn’t need to argue further.
She looked away to avoid getting angry.
Yi Mo returned to his usual expressionless self and patted Unrivaled on the shoulder.
“You might be a dog, but if you’re on my side, I’ll make sure you win.”
“Oh, then thank you, Boss!”
Unrivaled replied without hesitation, looking deeply grateful as he continued his flattery.
‘Finally, I managed to fool them…’
Just as Yi Mo was thinking this, Baiduren, who had been silent for a while, suddenly stepped forward.
“Everyone, I still maintain a certain level of skepticism,” Baiduren stated.
“After all, a Prophet having a gun is against common sense. Either Shiba Daye isn’t the Prophet, or he obtained that hunting rifle through some method we don’t know about. Regardless, the biggest suspects are still Cthulhu and Pikachu. I suggest we go to their thatched huts and search them to see if there’s anything suspicious. How about it?”
Cthulhu looked at Baiduren with confusion, unsure of what the man was trying to do.
Coincidentally, Baiduren looked back at Cthulhu and pushed up his glasses, a meaningful glint reflecting off the lenses.
‘Is he trying to help me? Why?’
Cthulhu wondered.
Even though he didn’t understand the motive, the situation was so dire that he decided to trust Baiduren just this once.
After all, Baiduren didn’t seem to get along with Shiba Daye.
Maybe he really was trying to help.
“I have no problem with that! Everyone, feel free to come. There’s nothing there!”
Cthulhu declared immediately.
Baiduren nodded and looked at Pikachu.
“Pikachu, can everyone search your thatched hut as well?”
Pikachu hesitated, unsure of what he was up to.
“My hut is fine, too. I could let you search it… but I don’t trust you. I suspect you’re playing some kind of trick.”
Baiduren replied, ” I’m not playing tricks. I just want to further prove who is a Werewolf and who is innocent. After all, a Good Guy’s hut should be perfectly fine. But it’s possible a Werewolf’s hut is hiding something that a Good Guy wouldn’t have, right Of course, Pikachu, you don’t have to suspect me. I’m just being cautious. I hope to find more evidence to prove Cthulhu is the Werewolf and that you are innocent.”
Hearing this, Pikachu reluctantly agreed, though she still felt uneasy.
Even though Pikachu had given her consent, Yi Mo was unwilling to let any more variables arise.
He stepped forward and barked, “Are you talking nonsense? I still suspect you’re a Wolf, too!”
“You’re jumping out now acting like some objective mediator. Do you really think I’ll believe you aren’t up to something? Pikachu and I weren’t even near the huts or the residential area until 4:00 PM! You had plenty of time to pull some petty tricks!”
Pikachu realized the danger and immediately chimed in, “That’s right! Shiba Daye and I were away all afternoon. What if you put something in my room just to frame me?!”
