A few more days passed like this…
“Colonel, as you ordered, we finally found a few ‘substitutes’.”
Several Imperial Secret Guards placed down the Psions wearing Magic Academy uniforms.
Though their appearances differed, they all shared a single trait now.
They were all dead—killed by these Imperial Secret Guards.
“Finding these things was really tough, tsk.”
One of the Imperial Secret Guards spoke angrily.
Because of the earlier issued ban, it had become exceptionally difficult to find Magic Academy students in Water City.
But… there were always a few students dissatisfied with such prohibitions who wanted to go out.
And these students who left campus became their targets.
As for what use they had for these corpses…
“Only nine?”
Hamos looked at the nine corpses on the ground, a hint of dissatisfaction flashing in his eyes, but then he let it go.
“Well, these will do.”
He turned to the Imperial Secret Guards and ordered, “You few, choose the body you prefer.”
A moment later, each selected their favored corpse.
“Stand there. Don’t move…”
Hamos chanted softly, and one by one, mysterious magic circles appeared beneath the feet of the nine Imperial Secret Guards he indicated.
“[Possession]”
As the words fell, the nine Imperial Secret Guards collapsed like kites with broken strings.
In their place, the nine students who had originally died stood up once more.
This was the skill Hamos took pride in.
[Possession] and…
“Boss, what about you?”
A successfully possessed Imperial Secret Guard asked.
This time, Hamos was to act with them, but he hadn’t prepared any material for possession.
“I thought of something more interesting.”
After speaking, Hamos began chanting in his heart.
Suddenly, a magic circle appeared beneath his feet, and his form began to change.
“[Disguise Technique]”
With Hamos’ low command, his body seemed reshaped by an invisible force.
In an instant, he transformed into a white-haired girl, with hair as smooth as silver silk.
He had transformed into Luna’s appearance.
Except for his eyes, he was almost indistinguishable from the real Luna.
“This is my skill, [Disguise Technique]. I can become anyone, as long as I’ve seen them.”
Hamos explained proudly, his voice now sweet and clear, completely unrecognizable from before.
“As expected of the boss!”
A chorus of admiration rose from the Imperial Secret Guards, but Hamos paid their flattery no mind.
“Enough! All of you be quiet!”
Hamos commanded in that crisp, pleasant female voice.
Everyone fell silent at once, focusing intently on his speech.
“Everyone, since we set foot on this land, we’ve already lost four squads. But it was thanks to their sacrifice that we were able to pinpoint Selina’s location.”
“Now, we’re about to undertake an unprecedented mission— infiltrate the Magic Academy, find and capture Selina!”
“Our mission is singular: find Selina, and avoid unnecessary commotion. Remember, our actions must be swift and precise, without error.”
Hamos reiterated, his gaze sweeping over the nine possessed Imperial Secret Guards before him.
The responsibility of this operation weighed heavily upon each of them.
“Once you’re ready, have our comrades teleport us inside the Academy. As soon as Selina is found, make contact for the encirclement. At that point, we’ll need our colleagues skilled in Teleportation Magic to provide timely support.”
Hamos meticulously outlined the plan, considering every detail.
Everyone nodded in understanding, their eyes filled with resolve and confidence!
As Hamos’ command was issued, everyone began to busy themselves with final preparations for the upcoming operation.
Meanwhile, Hamos stood quietly to one side, watching each of them with clear, water-like eyes, his heart full of anticipation and determination!
***
My name is Xia Xia, a Demon spy, currently in an utterly unfamiliar environment—the Empire’s First Magic Academy, filled with human Psions.
For the next few days, I’ll use first-person perspective to show you how to survive in such a place full of danger and unknowns.
Why is it like this aaaaa——!
My heart was filled with helplessness and terror.
Originally, I was just an ordinary spy among the Demons, responsible for gathering intelligence and passing information.
However, this mission had thrown me into an unprecedented predicament.
Xia Xia was teleported into the Magic Academy along with the Imperial Secret Guards.
As for why she had to join such a dangerous operation, it was all because of what Hamos said:
“You’ll come with us too. Your reconnaissance abilities are extremely keen. We’ll need a sharp pair of eyes.”
Just because of this sentence, I was forcibly dragged into this storm and followed them into this place riddled with danger!
Unlike them, I didn’t infiltrate by Possession or Disguise Technique.
I only used items to conceal my Demon traits and came along with them.
So, it’s impossible not to feel nervous and afraid!
If I’m discovered here, it’s like a rabbit falling into a pack of wolves!
Please, parents, let me survive and get out of here…
I prayed silently in my heart.
I wished I could leave this haunted place right now and return outside the Academy to continue my fried chicken business.
But reality was so cruel.
This time, with the superior Hamos leading, escaping from under his nose was almost impossible.
“Now, let’s split up to search. If there’s news, inform the team immediately.”
Hamos gave further instructions.
From this moment on, they would act separately to search more efficiently.
“Then, let’s begin!”
They emerged from the alley and blended into the crowd of students.
I was one of them.
I looked around.
All I saw were human Psions.
They wore uniform school attire, their faces brimming with youthful energy.
Yet, in my eyes, they seemed so frightening and dangerous.
I didn’t know if they would see through my real identity or attack me.
I could only hide myself carefully and try not to attract their attention.
Taking a deep breath, I tried to calm myself.
The most important thing now was to stay clear-headed and alert.
Only by doing so could I survive in this dangerous and unknown place.
In the days to come, I would face countless challenges and trials.
But I believed that as long as I remained calm and brave, I could overcome any hardship and find hope for survival!
Stay tuned: [Academy Survival]!
“Sigh…”
Xia Xia walked along the road, her heart full of confusion and helplessness, unsure of what to do next.
Looking around, she had neither a place to stay nor any food.
She was at a loss about where to spend the night.
She thought to herself, she couldn’t really let herself wander the streets and sleep on a cold bench through the long night, could she?
If she were caught by patrolling guards, that would make things even worse.
Just as Xia Xia was troubled over how to make it through the night, she noticed the joy and happiness on the faces of the students around her.
Seeing this, she unconsciously lowered her head, her heart filling with envy.
They didn’t need to leave their hometowns for some unknown goal or risk their lives to come here.
Compared to them, her own situation felt especially difficult and lonely.
Suddenly, an alluring scent of sweets drifted to Xia Xia’s nose.
She couldn’t help but lift her head, her gaze drawn to a dessert shop by the roadside.
The shop was named “Sweetland”.
Warm yellow lights shone from its windows, bathing the storefront in a cozy, inviting glow.
Through the glass, Xia Xia saw the shop bustling with activity.
Students inside wore happy smiles as they enjoyed delicious desserts.
Xia Xia gazed at the “Sweetland” sign, her eyes lingering on the smiling faces inside.
But her own expression gradually darkened.
“Ugh…”
She muttered softly, as if venting her frustration.
In the end, she made her decision:
Let them search on their own!
I’ve had enough of being ordered around!
I just want to live peacefully here and not get involved in any more trouble!
Her eyes flashed with resolve, and she silently vowed in her heart:
Just wait!
I’ll escape from this Academy for sure!
As for that Selina, I refuse to go look for her!
I don’t believe she’ll just come to me again like last time even if I do nothing!
Thinking of this, Xia Xia’s mood seemed to lighten a little.
She gave a self-mocking laugh and muttered quietly,
“Meow meow, who cares anymore! I’ll have dessert first!”
With that, she strode purposefully toward “Sweetland”, deciding to put aside her worries for now and enjoy a rare moment of peace.
