“Not good!”
Field had only relaxed for a moment, and that gave Irina Zi a chance to catch her breath.
Field rushed forward again, trying to knock Irina Zi out, but Liyakade’s attack was faster.
A violent storm blew both the Fire Dragon Vortex and Field away, and the dagger in her hand flew out due to exhaustion.
Under the overwhelming pressure, Field’s attack had no effect at all.
“Damn it, I was still too careless!”
Originally, Liyakade and her partner had planned to create a field rich in Fire Element, allowing Field to suppress Irina Zi inside so she couldn’t use a Spell Command, and finally subdue her.
But Field’s mistake gave Irina Zi an opening.
After blowing away the flames, Liyakade watched as Irina Zi quickly cast Magic to extinguish the scattered embers.
If these little flames set the entire Corridor on fire, there would be even more Fire Element for Field to use.
The Irina Zi standing before them now looked utterly miserable.
Her once-luxurious Dress was now tattered, the hem torn into several strips, and her golden hair, wavy like a waterfall, had singed tips.
The faint smell of burning lingered.
Even the Ribbon on her Dress had been scorched along with her hair.
Her expression was no longer aloof, but twisted with intense resentment and hatred.
“Ha… haha.”
Irina Zi let out a venomous laugh.
“I almost thought I was going to fall here. Just now, I was actually a bit scared.”
As she spoke, Irina Zi pulled out a Contract from inside her clothes.
It was Liyakade’s Contract.
“For safety, I’ve always kept the real Contract on me. Luckily, it wasn’t burned just now, and you didn’t snatch it away. Otherwise, I’d really be finished.”
“Tsk… so close. Just a bit more?”
Liyakade, still under control, stood in front of Irina Zi and struggled to speak.
Field, unwilling to give up, cast a Fireball.
It circled around Liyakade and flew toward Irina Zi.
She was certain that after the fierce battle, Irina Zi’s magic and stamina must be nearly depleted.
If the fight continued, Field would definitely win.
But she overlooked Liyakade’s presence.
The moment the Fireball flew over, Liyakade immediately blocked Irina Zi.
“Protect me and forbid the use of Magic!”
“No!”
Hearing Irina Zi’s icy command, Field hurried to stop her Magic, but it was too late.
The blazing Fireball exploded on the defenseless Liyakade with a loud bang.
She was blown away, her shoulder charred, yet she still obeyed Irina Zi’s order, limping as she shielded Irina Zi.
“Despicable! Using Liyakade as a human shield!”
Field bit down hard, her anger threatening to shatter her molars.
She furiously denounced Irina Zi’s actions, yet felt powerless.
Looking at Liyakade’s pale face and the severe burn on her shoulder, Field was filled with regret.
If only she had dealt with Irina Zi directly earlier.
“Let her go! If you have the guts, fight one-on-one!”
“I have no intention of fighting you one-on-one, Field. You’re a Princess. How could I lay a hand on you or let you get hurt? That would be high treason.”
Irina Zi spoke mockingly.
“But if you attack me, I can only have my Servant defend me. Isn’t that right?”
“Heh… What does high treason matter now? Let Liyakade go, and I’ll spare you today!”
“Ahahaha.”
Irina Zi laughed wildly.
“Spare me? Princess Field, are you stupid? Right now, I’m the one in control! Do you plan to run back and tattle to the King? I haven’t hurt you from the start, nor have I attacked you, Princess Field. In fact, you were the one who barged into my Mansion and started causing trouble.”
“Are you saying you’re in the right?”
Field shouted at Irina Zi.
She had never seen someone so shameless.
“Weren’t you the one bullying my friend first?”
“Heh, I never bullied Princess Field’s friend. This is my Slave. I can do whatever I want. As for Alice, wasn’t it Liyakade who bullied her? What does that have to do with me?”
With just a few words, Irina Zi absolved herself completely.
If this were taken to Court under such circumstances, it would probably be impossible to convict her.
“So what if I order Liyakade to die? She’s my Slave. Isn’t it normal for me to have her killed? Would the King execute me just for this? At most, it’s a minor punishment. If you dare report me to the King, I’ll kill Liyakade immediately.”
Irina Zi spoke relentlessly.
Field felt herself wavering.
If Liyakade died, even if Irina Zi were punished, it would already be too late.
“What do I have to do for you to let Liyakade and me go?”
“Princess Field can leave, but this little wretch must stay here.”
“Impossible. She must leave with me!”
“What?”
Irina Zi’s eye twitched madly at these words.
Having regained the upper hand, she found herself agitated again by Field’s attitude.
“Did you not understand what I said? It’s impossible. There’s no way you can take her with you! Why? Why do you mention Liyakade in almost every sentence? Is this little wretch really that important to you?”
Losing her composure, Irina Zi slammed Liyakade against the wall and squeezed her throat.
Liyakade’s face turned blue as she desperately clawed at Irina Zi’s wrist, leaving several scratches on her pale arm.
But that was all she could do.
Without Magic, Liyakade couldn’t resist at all.
“Stop!”
Seeing this, Field tried to attack again, but as soon as she moved, Irina Zi pulled Liyakade in front of her as a shield.
“Didn’t you want to attack me? Go ahead, why aren’t you moving?”
To Irina Zi, Field’s hesitation was even more irritating.
“Why aren’t you attacking? Do you care that much about this little wretch? Do you like her or something?”
“Don’t you have friends? I don’t want to hurt my friends—is there a problem with that?”
Field did feel something strange toward Liyakade, but this was hardly the time to discuss it.
If she admitted it, Irina Zi would only become more twisted.
“Hehe, if Princess Field can’t do it, then I will!”
But even if Field refused to admit it, Irina Zi had already become pathologically certain.
“Pfft—”
A dagger pierced through Liyakade’s shoulder from behind.
It was the same one Field had dropped earlier.
