*Whoosh* — Emil glared with her large, blue eyes, looking toward the table where Evelyn was sitting.
If Erica’s side was only frequented by young men interested in a pretty face, then that table was a gathering place for a crowd of people either admiring her beauty or flattering her status.
“Lady Evelyn, you are truly stunning. This majestic face is simply a masterpiece of the Creator.”
“What do you use to care for your hair? It is sparkling and shining — just like bling~bling!”
Many High Priests and Nuns surrounded Evelyn, chattering away incessantly. It seemed this group had no intention of dispersing before the banquet ended.
Witnessing this, the big girl clicked her tongue in annoyance. She then cast a brooding glance at Erica, who was also attracting quite a few admirers nearby. “I didn’t come here just to be a foil for others.”
Although Emil had a commanding presence that made her the protagonist wherever she went, next to a black rose like Evelyn, she seemed reduced to nothing more than a green leaf huddled beside a beautiful flower, inevitably overshadowed.
Their auras were completely different, after all.
In truth, Erica wanted to offer a few words of comfort, something like, ‘Lady Emil is also quite beautiful, it’s just that her temperament doesn’t stand a chance, you know?’
But for the sake of her own life, she kept her mouth shut.
It had to be said that the three young girls from Noelle were all exceptionally beautiful. However, even Erica’s temperament could not compare to that of the Cold Queen, Evelyn, who was like a snow lotus on an iceberg. The brash, big girl was even more eclipsed by comparison.
*Snap!* Suddenly, Emil stood up from her seat.
Worried that Emil might barge into the group around Evelyn and cause trouble, Erica cautiously asked, “Lady Emil, where are you going?”
“Just going out to clear my head. Why?”
Emil took the hem of her red formal dress, rolled it up, and tied it around her calves. It seemed she could no longer bear to sit still after finishing her meal in a hurry.
“No one will notice if I slip out anyway. Hmph.”
“Then I shall accompany you.”
“Oh? Suit yourself.”
The two young women walked toward a secluded garden behind the banquet hall. Attendants tried to follow them along the way, but Erica politely waved her hand, signaling for them to stay back.
The small garden of The Holy See was paved with clean, geometric tiles, resembling a jogging path in a park. Amidst the faint hum of the boisterous banquet echoing through the trees, Emil leaned against a large tree with her arms crossed. She took a few deep breaths and rested the back of her head against the trunk.
*Crack!*
She idly plucked a soft leaf, caught it between two fingers, and flicked it away.
The leaf instantly transformed into a spinning blade, whistling through the air and silently slicing through a branch on a tree across from them before disappearing into the grass. Erica’s lip twitched at the sight.
“I feel much better now. The stiff atmosphere of the Holy See really doesn’t suit me.” Emil had only been here for half a day, yet she already seemed full of regret.
“When does the opening ceremony start?”
“Probably in about a month. We arrived quite early, after all.”
“Damn it. If we wanted to go back to Noelle, it would take a whole week just by carriage.”
“Do you plan on going back?”
“I don’t know.”
She didn’t know?
Emil had always been a person of clear-cut distinctions and intense emotions. She liked what she liked and hated what she hated; it had always been that way.
Seeing her being so vague now was likely a sign of her inner turmoil.
‘I need to judge the situation calmly! Through…’
Erica felt she had to find a way to soothe the sulking big girl to prevent this muscle-brained woman from causing a diplomatic incident in a foreign place.
Furthermore, she didn’t want to be away from the hall for too long. If no one was watching the banquet hall, she was equally worried that Evelyn might do something outrageous while out of sight.
What a disaster.
Thus, Erica skillfully activated her **Persuasion** as she usually did. “But Lady Emil, if you return to Noelle alone now, everyone might think you fled.”
“I fled? What are you talking about? What do I have to flee from?”
“It is a well-known fact that the discipline of the Holy See is as harsh as that of an ascetic monk. People will likely assume that Lady Emil could not handle such discipline, refused to be managed, and slunk back to Noelle in shame.”
“Hey, you know that’s not how it is, right?”
“But rumors don’t spread according to our wishes.”
Gossip always mutated and spread in directions that stimulated people’s nerves and piqued their interests, having a mutual distaste for the fixed reality of the truth. As an enchantress, she knew this better than anyone.
She frightened the other girl slightly. Knowing Emil as she did, the big girl hated nothing more than being labeled as ‘afraid of something.’
Sure enough, Emil’s expression shifted like a fickle rainstorm in June. After a moment of hesitation, she turned and *snap*, tore off a tree branch as thick as Erica’s arm.
She muttered under her breath, “This really is a pain.”
**[Success! You have made the other party yield!]**
**[Gained ‘Trainer’ Class EXP. +50]**
**[Class ‘Trainer’ level up! Level 2 → Level 3]**
**[Your training actions are now more effective!]**
‘I see, I see. So that’s how it is…’
‘Who has such an indecent system?!’
She had originally wondered where the title of **Trainer** came from. It turned out she wasn’t training the squirrel from before, but this big girl?!
And what did “training actions” even mean?
Since it wasn’t even pretending anymore, wouldn’t it be better to call the class “Disciplining Master”?
Erica, whose facial expression was on the verge of collapsing, was very glad she was still wearing a veil. However, her brain subconsciously began to process the information. As long as she continued doing what she usually did, she could gain experience points and increase her class level, enhancing the effects of the methods corresponding to that class.
The level-up speed was also faster than expected. If only she had this system from the very beginning.
‘So, my previous behavior was judged as training this big girl? Clearly, she’s the one who messes with me more, right? But… it does feel like our relationship is getting closer…’
‘In that case, if I max out the ‘Trainer’ class in the future, will I really be able to control and tame these naughty, wicked women as I please?’
‘I could successfully turn the tables and no longer be the one being pushed around!’
‘Taming them — the future is bright! Maybe a max-level ‘Trainer’ can even evolve into a ‘Big Sister’ class or something, hehehe…’
Then again, to increase her experience points, she would have to perform more actions that made the other party yield to her will in her daily life. In other words, she had to make her words carry more weight in the other person’s heart.
Essentially, she just had to make them listen to her, right? Well, it was worth a shot.
With this system and enough time to develop, taming these troublesome young ladies who were constantly waving red flags might not be impossible!
‘Yes, yes! This is definitely worth a try, isn’t it?’
From now on, rather than the unpredictable Evelyn, she would first test the waters with the big girl, who had a quirky personality but many inner vulnerabilities that were easy to exploit…
“Hey, Erica, so what do you think?”
The girl, hearing Emil’s question, snapped back from her pensive fantasies. The big girl’s face filled her entire vision.
Seeing that Erica didn’t respond immediately, Emil even blew a puff of air toward the girl’s eyes.
Erica quickly pulled back, truly doubting if she could take the lead in a confrontation with this frivolous woman. She didn’t want to end up being the one “trained” instead.
“You’re asking me what I think?”
What did the muscle-woman just say? She hadn’t heard clearly, as she had been immersed in this user-friendly, high-quality system and missed Emil’s rambling.
“You weren’t listening to a word I said, were you?” The light in those azure eyes faded as they slowly narrowed.
“…”
What should she do? It seemed she had made her angry before the “conquest” even began.
Erica racked her brain, remembering the lesson she learned during the Gorigo Siege Incident: turn a crisis into an opportunity. Therefore, she decided to use a direct breakthrough method to escape her current predicament.
“I’m sorry. I was indeed thinking about something else just now.”
“You dare think about something else right in front of me, Emil! What were you thinking about? Who were you thinking about?”
“…Um, I was thinking about you, Lady Emil.”
“What…?” Emil stared deeply at the girl. “I’m right here in front of you. Why would you need to think about me? What kind of ridiculous excuse is that? Do you think I’m an idiot?”
Her previous dissatisfaction combined with her current irritation made the big girl grit her silver teeth. Even the veins on her snowy-white neck were bulging. Her anger was rising — it was visible to the naked eye.
But Erica decided to trust her skills as a top-tier actress!
The girl spoke in a tone more serious and sincere than ever before. Her crimson eyes rippled with a gentle, watery light, like a red lake under a late autumn maple forest.
“Well… being alone with Lady Emil like this, I couldn’t help but think of that night, and what happened then. I was reminiscing about the sensation I felt so clearly at that time…”
“What? What… what does that mean?”
“…Although I feel very ashamed and sorry, I was indeed thinking of Lady Emil’s chest.”
Emil’s eyes widened instantly, and the look in them became clear as if she hadn’t fully reacted. “You… you… what are you talking about?! This is the temple of the Holy See!”
The big girl seemed to lose her composure and initiative, shouting in a low voice with an extremely flustered and disorganized expression.
Then, she covered the bodice of her dress with her hands, a blush of either shame or anger rising to her face. “You… what is wrong with you? Go touch your own if you want to!”
“Ever since that night, not a day has gone by where I could stop myself from recalling Lady Emil’s warmth and softness. I tried to forget you, Lady Emil, but that gentle warmth that enveloped me always keeps surfacing in my mind…”
In truth, this wasn’t entirely acting; there was a bit of sincerity mixed in.
The big girl’s chest contained a considerable amount of magical power. Although it was a bit annoying, she had to admit that kneading that place — which was softer and more elastic than dough — was quite a great way to relieve stress.
It was super, super healing!
“Ha… what on earth are you talking about?” Emil frowned, staring at the girl with a look one would use for something disgusting.
However, since she hadn’t directly stepped forward to punish her, it meant she was already mostly swayed.
Good, things were going even more smoothly than expected. Perhaps she could try an experiment now.
“Lady Emil…” Erica looked at Emil with slightly melancholic eyes, her expression pitiful. She was testing if the big girl was the type who found it difficult to refuse others.
Already tall, the big girl was wearing high heels, making her more than a head taller than Erica. Thus, as the girl approached, she naturally had to look up at her.
The girl pursed her lips as if in shy embarrassment. “Lady Emil, I want to…”
“Do you want to die?! Who told you to get this close?!”
Eh?
Before she could finish her sentence, Erica only saw Emil show a flustered and embarrassed expression she had never seen before. Her hand rose in a panic…
*Thump!*
“Eek…!”
Emil’s hand chop crashed onto the girl’s head like a falling star. It hurt so much that Erica crouched down with a “Ugh!”, clutching her small head. Tears almost fell.
As tears blurred her vision, a string of text appeared before her —
**[Struck by a hand chop that she didn’t have the heart to put strength behind, you let out a cute scream!]**
**[Gained ‘Half-Elf’ Class EXP… +50]**
‘What even is a Half-Elf?’
‘A masochist?’
