“Poof…”
When the first spark touched the pollen-filled wind field, the massive follow-up sparks quickly followed.
Sparks rained into the wind field like raindrops.
The moment the spark touched the pollen, the pink pollen instantly turned into golden-red flames.
Under the special magical properties of [Explosive Bloom Dust], the wind fueled the fire, and the entire wind field burned fiercely. The raging wind swept the flames, and even the scattered leaves, branches, and other combustibles within crackled in the high heat.
At that moment, [Cage of a Thousand Winds] transformed into a fire tornado over a hundred meters wide, its shape ferocious.
Even Krexia, who had created this scene with her own hands, was forced to retreat by the terrifying heat.
This was the first time she had used such a magic combination; she had never had a chance to test it before.
Now, realizing the idea from her mind, she didn’t expect the effect to far exceed her expectations.
With such power, could it even compare to Sixth-tier Magic?
Krexia thought.
At the same time, she didn’t forget about the God of Slaughter within the fire tornado.
“Facing this kind of magic, damn it, I refuse to believe you can come out unscathed!”
The girl gritted her teeth, glaring fiercely at the inferno.
There was no time to worry about whether the magic would cause a forest fire or anything else.
She didn’t know why that guy hadn’t attacked while she was chanting the spell, but that wasn’t important now.
What mattered was escaping.
The enhancement magic she had cast on herself earlier was still active. Now was the time to try escaping again.
That guy was still trapped within the wind field—or rather, the fire field—probably too busy to bother with her.
Decision made, she turned and ran!
Before leaving, she cast several Third-tier Magic [Rock Wall] spells behind her as obstacles, even though she knew they couldn’t possibly block that guy’s Blood Spike.
So she placed them scatteredly, not knowing how much they might disrupt the vampire.
Thus, she entered escape mode once again.
“Whoosh…”
Amid the explosive roar of flames and the howl of the wind, a sharp sound pierced the air, shattering her escape plan.
A familiar sense of danger, a familiar scent of blood.
This time, she tried to repeat her earlier maneuver to avoid the Blood Spike, but her luck wasn’t as good as before.
By the time she heard the whistling, it was too late to dodge.
“Damn it, what kind of monster is this? Even such attacks can’t affect her?!”
Krexia cursed inwardly. With so little time, it was impossible to cast a spell, so she activated a Magic Scroll.
She activated two at once.
Two defensive magic of different attributes were triggered simultaneously, two differently colored magic shields instantly covering her body.
Almost at the same moment, the bloody wind and Blood Spike, carrying that sharp, piercing sound, struck the shields.
Faced with what seemed an ordinary Blood Spike, the Magic Scrolls—supposedly possessing Fourth-tier Magic-level defensive power—proved insufficient. The first shield shattered in less than half a second.
With a crisp shatter, the first Magic Scroll dissipated.
Then, the second Magic Scroll fared no better, breaking in less than a second.
The Blood Spike, with remaining force, struck Krexia’s abdomen hard.
The small, diamond-shaped Blood Spike quickly pierced her skin, exiting through her lower back and dragging a torrent of blood with it.
“Kh… ah…”
At the moment of impact, Krexia’s mind went blank, her abdomen numb, kinetic force driving her two steps back.
Then came the stabbing pain.
Something seemed to be coating the Blood Spike, the agony making her mind go blank.
Her body below the waist lost sensation, her legs gave way, and she collapsed. The wound created by the Blood Spike became a crimson fountain, blood pumping out continuously.
Within a few breaths, a small Blood Pool formed beneath her.
She tried to use the knowledge stored in her mind, employing support-type magic to stop the bleeding—it seemed to have some effect.
But she wasn’t a God-officiant. Healing such a wound would take time, and in this urgent moment, she could only slightly repair the most damaged internal organs.
There was nothing she could do for the external wound.
To make matters worse, her magic power was nearly depleted.
Now, waves of dizziness swept over her, her vision darkening, irregular black spots appearing before her eyes.
She didn’t know if it was from blood loss or lack of magic, but either way, neither was good.
“Am I… dying again…?”
Leaning against the tree trunk, her eyes half-closed, she saw a blurry, heat-radiating figure approaching step by step.
The nameless Blood Clan member emerged from the fire tornado, walking straight toward Krexia.
Even after Krexia’s magic combo, it was impossible for her to remain unscathed; the blood marks that once webbed her body had faded, and patches of skin bore clear burns.
But the Blood Clan’s regenerative ability was famous across the continent. For some powerful members of the Blood Clan, unless it was a fatal blow, an attack like this was little more than wasted effort.
In the few steps she took, the burns healed at a speed visible to the naked eye, her skin becoming smooth once more, leaving not a trace of a scar.
Her aura strong, she fixed her sharp gaze on Krexia, as if preparing for something.
However, when she saw Krexia slumped against the tree, bloodied and barely alive, the expression on her icy, ascetic face froze.
A clear trace of shock flashed in those blood-red, slit pupils.
She was stunned at first, her expression shifting from cold to blank, then to confusion and bewilderment, and finally panic.
She hurried to Krexia’s side, lifting her face and prying open her eyelids.
In just that short time, her pupils had begun to dilate.
“Ah, no, no, don’t…”
Moments ago, she had seemed a God of Slaughter incarnate—a War God—but now she looked clearly flustered and helpless.
Krexia had used what little magic she had left to heal some of her internal injuries, but the external wounds remained, though the blood loss wasn’t as severe as before.
The Blood Clan lady stood there, at a loss, but after a moment’s thought, seemed to recall a way to help.
She rummaged through her Storage Ring, and soon pulled out a Magic Scroll.
A prominent blue cross marked its wrapper.
Clearly, it was a product of the Cathedral.
