Atiste arrived at the database.
He rarely visited this place.
He certainly did not know everything in this world, but he at least understood seventy or eighty percent of it.
Having lived for 500 years, it was hard not to.
But the matter of soul swapping was something he was seeing for the first time.
It was not as if he had not tried to personally manipulate the soul swapping of other living beings, all in the interest of attempting to create a brand-new art form.
They had all failed.
Yet, Eileen and Lillian had actually swapped in this inexplicable situation?
This matter had to be investigated.
If he could not find the answer in the database, he would have to go out and look.
After all, creating art required sufficient data.
Otherwise, there was no way to innovate.
The database was not spacious; it was simply a pocket dimension for storing information.
This was thanks to the Demon King’s Body having the effect of storing infinite mana.
Atiste had turned all the knowledge, experiences, books, encounters, and historical facts that he had met and not met, read and not read, into streams of mana information stored within this room.
Only Atiste could enter this space.
Once opened by anyone else, it would immediately trigger a mana explosion, destroying all the information while simultaneously killing the person attempting to steal it.
Because of this, Atiste never let Eileen near it.
Atiste stood amidst the mana information streams and began searching his archives of the past 500 years.
Lillian was someone he had captured himself; she was the Princess of the Muse Kingdom, possessing beauty that could topple nations and the king’s top choice for the throne.
Although she possessed a rare constitution with zero mana—something unseen in millennia—she could merge perfectly with the Demon King’s Heart, the Crystal of Myriad Splendor.
Eileen was his Exclusive Maid, whom he had picked up at 4 years old.
She was a war orphan whose village had been destroyed by the Demon Race, and she had watched her family be slaughtered by them.
Atiste saved her, taught her to fight, granted her power, and helped her become a Demigod.
For 500 years, she had remained loyal by Atiste’s side, never wavering, and had grown increasingly beautiful, becoming an immortal top-tier powerhouse.
Now that their souls had swapped, Atiste could not find any historical reference in the world, and even the books he had collected contained no record of soul swapping…
It was a headache.
Atiste continued to search, still finding nothing.
In other words, this incident could only have been caused by the unprecedented art piece that was “Lillian.”
His database had never collected any information of this nature, so he had to let it rest for the moment.
When he emerged from the database, prepared to return to the creation room to keep searching for a solution, he found those two girls were still sulking.
Eileen was cleaning the training room; she held a broom, appearing to intend to sweep the vast training room manually without using any magic.
Lillian was holding the Demon-Slaying Sword and the Demon Sword Core that had traveled back in time with her from 500 years ago, awkwardly gesturing with them.
It looked as if she were… practicing swordsmanship?
Atiste stood at the door and watched for a short while.
Eileen was in Lillian’s body, wearing a gorgeous dress while holding a simple broom; she swept slowly while glancing at Lillian, as if observing her.
Lillian held the Demon-Slaying Sword, dressed in a maid outfit, and swung it wildly.
Atiste could tell at a glance that this girl was likely trying out a sword for the first time in her life; her movements were clumsy, and she did not seem able to lift the sword at all.
She swung it without any methodology, purely using it like a firewood stick, and with every swing, she stepped on the spot Eileen had just swept, deliberately stomping hard as if fearing she wouldn’t leave a footprint.
The sound of Eileen sweeping suddenly paused.
Lillian “accidentally” swung too hard and lost her footing.
She tipped backward, and the Demon-Slaying Sword flew from her hand, slamming into the wall with a crash.
It bounced back, hit the floor, and left a gouge.
Eileen could not stand it anymore.
How could she watch her own body perform such clumsy movements?
“Oops~ Sorry about that~”
Lillian steadied herself and explained with a smile, “My hand slipped~”
Eileen did not reply.
Atiste could not bear it any longer.
He walked over and said, “What are you two doing? Instead of sulking, why don’t you discuss how to swap your bodies back?”
“Master, you have finally come out.”
Eileen bowed her head to Atiste, signaling her welcome.
“Lord Atiste~ I finally see you again~ While you were checking the database, I found it so boring~”
Atiste watched Lillian acting spoiled toward him in Eileen’s body.
He still found it uncomfortable, so he ordered, “Lillian, have you forgotten my command? Do not display unnecessary emotions in my presence. Do you not remember?”
Lillian immediately began to perform the persona Atiste required,收敛 her emotions, and said with a expressionless face, “Yes, Lord Atiste, I hear and obey.”
Watching the girl’s quiet, cold demeanor, he finally adapted, “Good, this is how Eileen should be.”
Lillian was unhappy inside, but she performed without a ripple on her face, saying, “But I am not her. That is what you said yourself.”
Atiste replied immediately, “It does not matter. You only need to maintain this state.”
He turned to look at Eileen: “Eileen is… as expressionless as always. It seems you have adjusted your emotions well. A good thing.”
“Master, if you want me to be angry or to smile, you only need to order me.”
“No, no, you are far too troublesome when you get angry.”
“Master, you can keep those words to yourself; there is no need to tell me directly.”
“Fine, fine. I need some quiet now. I checked the database, but it was no help at all. I must go to the creation room to find new inspiration.”
“Master, shall I prepare a midnight snack for you?”
“I am not eating.”
“Understood, I will go prepare it now.”
Lillian said, “Did Lord Atiste not say he would not eat?”
Eileen glanced at Lillian, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly in a look of mild triumph.
“Master requires enough energy when he is creating, so I am just preparing it for him in advance.”
“Amazing, can I come with you?”
“Hmm?”
“I mean, I want to learn to cook with you!”
“You… if you are bored, you might as well continue practicing your sword. I do not need a pampered burden who can do nothing to help in the kitchen.”
Lillian persisted, “Teacher Eileen~ Please, I beg you!”
Eileen felt she was a bit annoying, not only because of these inexplicable actions but because Lillian was using Eileen’s own face to beg her; anyone would find such a thing irritating…
I want to refuse, she thought, but upon second thought, she did not want to refuse “herself” like that.
“Ugh, suit yourself, just don’t get in my way.”
“Yay! Teacher Eileen is the kindest~ I decide I won’t cause you any more trouble today!”
“Hmm?”
“I mean… I won’t cause any trouble for you!”
“Do not chatter in my presence either. Keep an expressionless face.”
“Yes, Teacher Eileen.”
With that, the two beautiful girls headed toward the kitchen to make food for Atiste.
Atiste sighed, thinking to himself that he should go to the creation room.
Once his mind calmed down and he found inspiration, he would make further plans.
