Lin Luan’s fingers touched a soft, grey pure cotton long-sleeved T-shirt.
He had bought this shirt in a larger size; at home, he used it as sleepwear. It was very loose, and though it was still men’s clothing, it was certainly better than letting Su Jin continue to wear her soaking wet dress.
“Miss Su Jin.” Holding the grey long-sleeved T-shirt, he returned to the living room, his gaze politely avoiding Su Jin’s conspicuous curves after getting soaked.
“Would you like to change into this first? It’s mine, but it’s clean and loose. At least it’ll do for now.”
He handed the T-shirt over and added, “As for pants… I probably don’t have anything suitable here. Why don’t you use this to cover your legs for the time being? Or, I can try to think of something else?”
Lin Luan sighed inwardly. He felt that his attempt to fix things was utterly terrible.
What kind of person gets his boss drenched in water on her very first visit to his home!
But Su Jin didn’t say much.
“Where’s the bathroom?” She reached out to take the T-shirt and spoke slowly.
“Over there…” Lin Luan quickly pointed out the direction.
Su Jin, clutching the oversized men’s T-shirt, walked toward the bathroom and gently closed the door behind her.
Lin Luan looked at the now-closed bathroom door. Behind the frosted glass, Su Jin’s graceful figure could be seen quietly undressing, which surprised him a little.
Miss Su Jin… wasn’t even angry?
Of course, Su Jin wouldn’t get angry.
Who could be angry at a little puppy doing its best to please you? Even if such a creature made a mistake, in Su Jin’s eyes, it would only be an adorable gesture.
Su Jin looked at the grey men’s T-shirt in her hand. The cotton fabric was so ordinary, starkly contrasting with the expensive cashmere dress she wore, now soaked through.
Normally, she would never touch this kind of clothing. But now, things were different.
Su Jin slowly took off all her clothes. Standing naked before the bathroom mirror, she rubbed the soft cotton between her fingertips.
The T-shirt seemed to still hold a faint trace of sunlight mingled with the scent of laundry detergent.
This was… Lin Luan’s scent.
Suddenly, in Su Jin’s mind, two little versions of herself were fighting: an angel and a devil.
Little Devil Su Jin whispered in her ear, “Smell it… this might be your only chance to get so close to Little Lin Puppy’s scent!!”
Little Angel Su Jin whispered in her ear, “Smell it… this might be your only chance to get so close to Lin Luan’s scent!”
Aren’t they the same?!
Since both the angel and the devil said so, there was no other choice…
It’s not like I want to do this! Really!
Su Jin swallowed, and slowly brought the T-shirt up to her nose.
Sniff—
A rich, lingering fragrance filled Su Jin’s mind, making her knees go weak.
It smells so good…
Just like how people who own cats get used to sniffing them, once a certain switch is flipped, there’s only a first time and then countless times after.
Su Jin began to greedily bury her whole face in Lin Luan’s T-shirt, taking deep breaths.
So fragrant… it’s Little Lin Puppy’s scent…
“Miss Su Jin…?” Lin Luan’s voice sounded outside the bathroom door.
He wondered if Su Jin had encountered some kind of problem in the bathroom—why was it taking her so long to change?
Su Jin was startled.
She snapped out of her daze, quickly raised her head, and looked at herself in the mirror.
Her cheeks were flushed, her eyes hazy, lips parted slightly, and there was a glistening trace at the corner of her mouth from panting—her whole face was written with confusion and longing.
Not to mention, she was still standing there completely naked, clutching the men’s T-shirt she had just wrung in her hands!
!!!
A wave of immense shame surged in Su Jin’s heart.
What was she just doing?! She, Su Jin, eldest daughter of the Su Corporation, CEO of Violet Technology, was actually acting like some pervert… clutching a man’s shirt and sniffing it madly in the bathroom?!
And she almost…
“I—I’m fine!” Su Jin hurriedly pulled the loose T-shirt over her head.
The cool cotton pressed against her warm skin, easing some of the heat on her face, but it couldn’t quell the storm of embarrassment raging inside her.
She looked at the girl in the mirror, messy-haired and red-cheeked, dressed in an obviously ill-fitting men’s T-shirt, and could hardly believe it was herself.
How humiliating! How disgraceful!
She took a few deep breaths and patted her own cheeks hard, trying to chase away the damned blush.
Su Jin tidied her hair, doing her best to restore her usual cold expression, but she couldn’t fully hide the panic in her eyes. Forget it, this would have to do.

“Click.”
The bathroom door opened softly.
Su Jin walked out as coolly as she could, dressed in that oversized grey T-shirt.
The hem just barely covered the important areas, exposing her long, slender legs as she walked barefoot on the chilly floor.
She tried to maintain her composure, but the slight flush of her earlobes and her deliberate avoidance of Lin Luan’s gaze betrayed her inner turmoil.
Lin Luan stared, dumbfounded by her appearance.
Was this really the woman Su Jin, usually as cunning as a fox? Didn’t she look just like the big sister next door wearing her boyfriend’s T-shirt?
The oversized men’s clothes made her seem all the more slender, giving her a fragile look that was never seen before.
For a moment, Lin Luan was lost, his eyes lingering on Su Jin.
“What… what are you looking at!” Noticing Lin Luan’s stare, Su Jin’s heartbeat, which had just begun to steady, was once again thrown into chaos.
She reflexively pressed her legs together and crossed her arms over her chest. The blush that had just faded started to return.
Lin Luan snapped out of it, realizing his own rudeness, and quickly looked away.
“I’m sorry, Miss Su Jin! I… I didn’t mean to.” He coughed, trying to change the subject. “Um… your dress, should I help you with it? Or, should I ask Song Li to buy you a new one and have it delivered?”
Mentioning Song Li, Su Jin suddenly remembered her bodyguard was still outside the door.
Let her see herself like this? Absolutely not!
“No need!” Su Jin refused immediately. “It’s just a small matter! No need to trouble Song Li.”
Her gaze fell on Lin Luan, suddenly recalling his back injury from earlier, the reason he had spilled the water in the first place.
“Your injury…” Su Jin hesitated, pointing at his obviously uncomfortable back from before. “Does it still hurt? Didn’t you say you were ready to be discharged?”
Lin Luan hadn’t expected her to suddenly show concern. He paused before replying, “It’s fine, it doesn’t bother me if I don’t move.”
“There should be some topical medicine and scar cream in the bag Song Li brought.” Su Jin said, her tone leaving no room for argument. “Let’s go to your room. I’ll help you with your medicine.”
“Huh?” Lin Luan was genuinely stunned this time, almost thinking he’d heard wrong. “Miss Su Jin, isn’t this… a bit inappropriate? How could I trouble you…”
Letting his distinguished benefactor, that ice-cold heiress, apply medicine for him?
The image was too beautiful for him to dare imagine.
“Enough nonsense, it’s not like I haven’t done it before.” Su Jin frowned, using her habitual commanding tone.
“You got hurt protecting me. I’m responsible for making sure you recover. Or do you want to be clumsy for the rest of your life with lingering side effects?”
As she spoke, she was already walking over to the corner, searching through the paper bag Song Li had left behind.
Lin Luan watched her crouching barefoot in his oversized T-shirt, seriously searching for the medicine.
How odd.
Her outfit was like a gentle girl-next-door, but her words were those of a president… No matter how he thought about it, it felt strange!
Like… a sweet and lovely girlfriend suddenly playing the part of a president in some weird game!
Oh well, the boss’s word is law.
“O—over there.” In the end, Lin Luan gave in and pointed toward his bedroom.
“Let’s go.”
Su Jin found the ointment, took it in hand, and led the way to Lin Luan’s bedroom, forcing him to follow.
The bedroom was even simpler than the living room: a bed, a wardrobe, a desk, all neatly arranged.
Su Jin entered, her eyes quickly sweeping the room before settling on the edge of the bed.
“Lie down.” She ordered tersely.
Lin Luan obediently lay down by the bed, exposing his injured back to Su Jin.
Su Jin looked at Lin Luan lying on the bed, slowly removed his shirt, and sat on his back. She took a deep breath and unscrewed the ointment lid.
Little Lin Puppy’s back… so good-looking, sharp and defined, with clearly visible muscle lines.
Su Jin shook her head.
She was getting distracted again.
Better put on the medicine first. Can’t have her future boyfriend left with scars.
With her slender fingers, Su Jin scooped some ointment and gently applied it to Lin Luan’s back.
The ointment was cool and refreshing. Lin Luan closed his eyes, gritting his teeth to endure.
“I say, you don’t need to call me Miss Su Jin anymore. Just call me…” Su Jin spoke slowly.
Don’t call her Miss anymore? Then what should he call her?
But before Lin Luan could ask—
“Clack clack.”
Suddenly, urgent footsteps sounded at the front door, followed by the sound of the door opening.
“Brother! I saw your shoes! Are you home!!”
Lin Luan’s pupils shrank sharply.
It’s over!
His little sister was home!
