“Hmph, if you dare harass the little fox like this again next time, I will definitely tell Principal Kaili.”
After issuing this threat, Serveyia looked down at Lin Sheng, whom she was protecting in her arms, and spoke with a smile in her tone.
“Don’t worry, little fox. Alicia just has an uncontrollable fondness for cute things. When you get a chance to visit Aili’s house, you’ll find that her home has a Doll Mountain—a real, genuine Doll Mountain.”
“Serveyia, how could you reveal my secret to the Princess?”
Perhaps because of Serveyia’s words, Alicia seemed both annoyed and embarrassed.
But rather than shouting, she simply glared at Serveyia with puffed cheeks.
Her previously elegant demeanor vanished, making her look like a child.
“Does that mean, Aili, you don’t plan to invite the Princess as a guest in the future?”
“O-of course I still want to invite her.”
“If you’re going to invite her, then you can’t possibly hide all your dolls, can you? You should know that’s impossible. Or are you saying you don’t intend to show the Princess your collection? Besides, it’s not some shameful hobby—if you like it, just say so. Isn’t that right, little fox?”
“Ah? Um, I don’t think it’s a problem. Like, I really enjoy playing games, too. I don’t think it’s a problem. Yes, it’s not a problem.”
Though I found it a bit odd that Serveyia suddenly made me answer, to be honest, since she asked, she must have her reasons.
Well, probably.
“Eh? So the Princess likes games too?”
I thought my reply was just a polite remark, but unexpectedly, it was met with a response.
The one who replied was a young girl of the Red Dragon Clan, who looked about eleven or twelve, standing only up to Lin Sheng’s chest.
A pair of large dragon horns sat atop her head, and a tail as long as her height trailed behind her.
She ran over while speaking.
Honestly, if Serveyia hadn’t told me these people were Saint Laia’s elites, I’d have thought she was just a child from somewhere.
“Dora, don’t be so reckless.”
Just as the red dragon loli was about to reach my side, a centaur girl stretched out her hand and pulled her back.
“Selene! Let go! I’m just chatting with the Princess—what’s wrong with that!”
Looks like the centaur girl’s name is clear now.
But she’s really tall— the loli barely reaches her back.
Her body is sleek, with a human upper half full of muscle and a horse’s lower half with shiny fur.
She exuded a powerful aura, clearly someone who runs on the grasslands.
“Greetings, Princess. I am Selene Silverhoof of the Silver Hoof Tribe from the Western Grassland, currently serving as Knight Captain at Saint Laia. If you wish to go for a ride, you’re always welcome.”
Unlike her athletic appearance, Selene’s voice was gentle.
She gave me the feeling of a fierce tiger with a heart of roses.
But Dora, perhaps feeling left out, waved her hands wildly beside me, trying to catch Lin Sheng’s attention.
“Selene, Selene! Don’t forget me! Greetings, Princess. I am Dora, Dora Yanlin. My grandfather is the Great Elder of the Red Dragon Clan! Also, I’m the president of the E-sports Club at Saint Laia Academy! Princess, you said you like games, too—what do you usually play?”
“Uh, well, actually, I play a bit of everything—not anything in particular…”
This was a lie.
Lin Sheng could have listed his favorite games, but the problem was, he used to be male and mostly played male-oriented games.
Looking at these noble young ladies before him—would they really play those kinds of games?
“Is that so? Well, if the Princess wants to play games, you’re always welcome.”
Fortunately, Dora didn’t press further, or I really wouldn’t have known how to answer.
But since there’s an E-sports Club, does that mean I can also enjoy games here?
“It seems our Princess truly is radiant—she’s already made friends with everyone so quickly~”
A slightly resentful voice came from beside me.
Only then did Lin Sheng realize he’d been so caught up talking to Dora and Selene that he’d completely ignored Alicia.
“Sorry, Aili, um, I got a bit too excited and forgot…”
Even Lin Sheng felt his words sounded a bit scummy.
But it couldn’t be helped, could it?
They were the ones who spoke to him first—he was just replying out of courtesy.
You couldn’t blame him for that, could you? At least, not entirely.
“But I had already prepared a gift for the Princess. If the Princess forgets me, does that mean the gift isn’t needed either?”
