‘It seems Master is truly dedicated to the System’s tasks.’
‘I have never seen him so serious about something other than Art.’
‘Perhaps that System really is important?’
‘Does he want to return to his Original World that much?’
‘When he goes back… can he take me with him?’
Pushing aside her distracting thoughts, Eileen said to Lillian, “I don’t have much time left to stay by your side. Do you have a specific plan?”
Lillian said, “It’s simple. We just need to stir up some unrest.”
“But how will you motivate these numb Dwarves?”
“I might not be able to suppress that Transcendent, but can I not even suppress a few Dwarves? Of course, I’ll use violence to make them submit!”
Lillian’s eyes sparkled.
Eileen quipped, “I thought you would use something more elegant — or rather, a method more befitting a ruler?”
Lillian replied decisively, “Master Atiste is my idol. I shall spend my entire life learning from him!”
Eileen said bluntly, “Master isn’t very bright. I suggest you pick a different idol.”
Lillian completely ignored the comment.
“In any case, I must complete Master Atiste’s task before you completely disappear.”
However, Lillian could not use magic.
All she could do was endure a beating.
In terms of strength, she probably couldn’t even match the Dwarf blacksmiths here.
She remembered that she could manifest silver coins out of thin air.
Thus, she found an empty wooden cart in the village.
Visualizing a pile of silver coins filling the cart, the crown atop her head suddenly glowed.
A moment later, a massive heap of silver coins filled the empty cart.
Eileen expressed her doubt, “Will this really work?”
She did not believe the Dwarves here would be interested in money.
Confidently, Lillian pushed the cart of silver coins to the front of a blacksmith’s house and sought out the owner to negotiate.
“As long as you are willing to obey my orders, this cart and everything inside it will be yours.”
When the Dwarf blacksmith saw the cart full of silver coins, though his eyes didn’t exactly light up, the hammer in his hand fell to the ground.
He had never seen so much money in his entire life.
“I… I can have this money?”
Lillian nodded with a smile.
“I never thought about it… what could I do with all this money?”
Although this was the Blacksmith Village, the Dwarves had always only known how to forge iron in exchange for survival resources.
This place was sparsely populated; aside from hunting and the occasional passing merchant, they couldn’t trade for food at all.
While mineral resources were abundant, they couldn’t survive without food, so all the weapons they forged were traded for something to eat.
“But if I have this money, I can leave this place… and live a better life!”
The Dwarf blacksmith ran happily to the cart and gleefully pushed it into his home.
He didn’t spare a single glance at the hammer on the ground or his unfinished equipment.
Eileen was stunned.
She hadn’t expected things to turn out this way at all.
“It actually worked? It must be a problem with this specific Dwarf,” she remarked in confusion.
Lillian didn’t answer.
She simply walked over to the Dwarf blacksmith and asked, “How many households are in your village?”
Counting the money happily, the blacksmith replied, “Over thirty households, all blacksmiths. The reason Thor Village is also known as the Blacksmith Village is because the blacksmiths living here are all top-tier.”
“Can you build carts?”
“My Lady, the so-called Blacksmith Village is a place where anything can be forged. As long as it can be created through blacksmithing, there’s nothing we can’t do!”
“Good. How long will it take you to build a cart?”
“How much are you paying?”
“I’ll give you another cart full of silver coins!”
“Come back to me in 1 hour with the money, and I’ll give you ten!”
With that, the Dwarf blacksmith picked up his hammer and began to work.
The hammer seemed to possess magic in his hands; with simple striking, shaping, and assembly, the frame of a cart was quickly completed.
Lillian said to Eileen, “There’s no time to lose. Help me find more carts.”
“Understood. I’ll report their locations to you.”
Atiste observed the pair’s actions through the System screen.
His eyes were full of focus.
He was very interested in Lillian’s next move because even he had never seen such an occurrence.
Throughout these 500 years, he had seen countless types of spells, including those that could manifest silver coins directly like Lillian did.
However, those were usually just illusions that temporarily created silver coins by converting surrounding matter.
Once the spell wore off, those silver-gleaming objects would return to their original forms.
But the things Lillian produced were entirely different.
Atiste asked the System, “System, check for me. Are those silver coins real?”
[System inquiring… Success. They are all physical silver coins]
A playful smile appeared in Atiste’s eyes.
He had indeed found a treasure.
Was it the Crystal of Myriad Splendor that possessed the ability to create something from nothing, or was it Lillian herself?
This required more observation.
However, it was conceivable that Lillian could likely manifest more than just simple silver coins.
So the question was, how could she manifest other things?
Atiste issued an instruction to Eileen.
[Eileen, have Lillian try to manifest a cart herself]
Eileen hurried back to Lillian’s side and reported faithfully, “Master wants you to try manifesting a cart yourself.”
Lillian said, “Since it is Master Atiste’s command, I will try.”
Lillian tried to imagine a cart, but there was no reaction, and the crown on her head did not flash.
Eileen asked, “Is something wrong?”
Lillian shook her head and said, “I’ll try again.”
She visualized a wooden cart once more.
This time, the Thorn Crown responded, emitting a faint glimmer.
A silhouette of a cart appeared in the snow before her, but it vanished almost immediately.
Lillian immediately judged, “…I don’t understand the structure of a cart.”
Eileen pressed further, “Then try changing the silver coins to gold coins?”
Lillian imagined a gold coin appearing in her hand.
Still, nothing happened.
“How strange… Why can I only manifest silver coins out of thin air?”
Lillian herself couldn’t find a clue.
Eileen reminded her, “I should go find some carts for you first. Time is pressing; my fingers are starting to become translucent.”
Lillian nodded.
“Yes, it would be best to find three. You can’t interfere with physical objects here, so I’ll have to go get those carts myself.”
“One will be used to buy those ten new carts, another to bribe the next blacksmith, and the last one to hire him to make an even better cart!”
Watching this unfold, Atiste was overjoyed.
He had truly never seen someone step on their own feet to reach the sky like this!
He had to find a way to bring Lillian and Eileen back from Five Hundred Years Ago!
That way, he could live a life of infinite wealth!
