Morning light filtered through the cracks of the window frame, sparingly spilling into the room and cutting several patches of light and shadow across the messy bedding.
Celia regained consciousness amidst a distinct sense of soreness.
Her eyelids felt as if they were glued shut, and she was so exhausted that she didn’t even want to open her eyes.
The memories of yesterday, accompanied by the vivid feedback from every part of her body, came rushing back.
It had been a long tug-of-war that started at noon and lasted until late at night.
Relying on the stamina recovery provided by the System, Celia had stubbornly stood her ground until the very end.
She only remembered that she had eventually fought until even the foundations of the world crumbled.
This could be considered upholding the reputation of the Dark Elf race, albeit in the opposite direction.
While her thoughts were chaotic, her physical sensations gradually became clearer.
She noticed something wrong with her body — she was completely restrained.
Celia was forced to open her eyes.
The morning light made her squint slightly, allowing her to see the predicament that left her unable to move.
Ilyas was curled up against her side, her cheek buried deep in the crook of Celia’s shoulder.
Her breathing was light and even, and her sleeping face looked incredibly pure.
However, the arms wrapped around Celia’s waist were holding on very tightly.
‘This little heartless one actually cooperated with Onyxia,’ Celia thought with some helplessness.
‘But considering you gave me water last night, I’ll forgive you.’
And on the other side…
Onyxia’s sleeping posture was one of blatant possessiveness.
One leg was thrown casually over Celia’s legs, feeling quite heavy.
Even more impossible to ignore was that large, fluffy fox tail.
It was wrapped around the base of her thigh, and the tip of the tail brushed unconsciously against the skin of her leg with every breath the owner took, bringing waves of slight but distinct tingling.
After the battle last night, Celia’s threshold had increased.
These slight movements no longer caused a major reaction from her.
Celia’s gaze landed on a certain spot in the middle of that tail where the fur was noticeably darker.
Fragments of overly vivid images from the previous night suddenly crashed into her mind, making the tips of her ears turn red.
She quickly looked away.
She had originally felt some curiosity and affection for that fluffy tail, but after last night… now there was only the silent accusation of her aching waist and legs.
With her sore body locked in the center of the bed by the two of them in entirely different ways, even turning over became a luxury.
Celia stared at the ceiling and finally let out a long, resigned sigh.
With a slight thought, the System interface quietly floated into her consciousness.
**[Spirit: 142 → 162]**
As she had expected, that long and dizzying battle last night had tempered her mental resilience, resulting in a leap forward.
Her gaze moved down to the title column.
The notification number made her pause for a moment.
One, two…
Her eyes quickly swept through them until they settled on the final count — twenty-two?!
How were there so many?
She subconsciously focused to look closer.
The prefixes of the newly added titles were almost buried under words like “First Time,” “First Success,” and “Collaborative Achievement.”
Most of the acquisition times clearly pointed to the chaos of last night.
Vivid scenes flashed before Celia’s eyes again, and her ears began to burn uncontrollably.
She looked away almost in a panic and quickly closed the detailed page of the title list.
‘I’m not looking anymore. Anyway… there’s nothing worth seeing.’
‘I should just do the summons. I’ve saved up for so long; twenty summons should at least give me a gold-tier talent.’
“Come on, start the summons.”
She murmured in her heart.
Amidst the flowing light, the familiar translucent silhouette of a wheel appeared deep in her consciousness.
It then began to spin at an incredible speed, almost turning into a blurred halo.
Immediately after, twenty small streaks of light burst from the center of the wheel like a string of falling meteors.
One after another, they crashed into her consciousness, leaving behind either bright or dim trails.
White, white… blue, blue… purple, purple…
The expected golden light never appeared.
Celia’s heart sank bit by bit.
This dog System — there really was no pity mechanism for the summons?!
The dinging notification sounds rang out repeatedly in her mind, but the items produced made her eyelids twitch.
**[Obtained: Olivia’s Black Stockings (Quality: Rare)]**
**[Obtained: Olivia’s White Stockings (Quality: Rare)]**
And why were even the purple-quality items stockings?!
Olivia… she had a faint impression of this name.
It felt like she had seen it somewhere before…
Wait!
Celia suddenly recalled the results of her last Ten-fold Summons and almost wanted to hold her head and groan.
Damn it, the small print at the bottom of the item description for the stockings she pulled last time listed the owner as this exact same name!
‘Is this System obsessed with this person named Olivia’s stockings or what?!’
‘Forget it. You stupid System, go back to sleep.’
—
Meanwhile, at the other end of the continent, inside a palace situated above the clouds.
“Elisa!” a voice filled with anger echoed through the magnificent bedroom.
“Did you see that box of stockings I put in the innermost layer of the wardrobe?
The ones I specifically had craftsmen weave using the back scales I shed last time!”
A maid named Elisa, wearing a maid outfit but with dragon horns protruding from her head, stood to the side and responded.
“Your Highness, I have not seen them. Additionally, allow me to remind you that this is already the third item to vanish into thin air this month.”
“Damn it!”
The girl known as Your Highness, Olivia, was so angry that her tail let out a muffled thud as it slapped against the thick plush carpet.
“Of all the things to steal, they just had to steal my stockings! I used the smoothest and toughest scales from the middle of my back, soaked them in moonlight essence for so long to soften them, and then had a master weave them by hand! There were only three pairs in total!”
“No, I can’t take this anymore! I’m going to find Sister Veronika! She must have a way to help me find that despicable thief!”
Elisa, standing nearby, timely poured a small pot of cold water on the idea.
“Your Highness, the Great Sage is currently in seclusion in the tower, listening to new instructions from the Dragon God. She ordered that no one is to disturb her unless the Dragon Realm is collapsing.”
“I don’t care! I must have a divination! I have to find out which bold fellow actually used space magic to steal my… my stockings!”
“Elisa, come with me. Then notify the Head of the Guard to strengthen the magical seals on the treasury and my private storage room — especially the wardrobe!”
Elisa sighed silently in her heart, knowing that once this princess’s stubbornness flared up, no one could stop her.
She could only bow and reply, “Yes, Your Highness. I will go and notify them now.”
Looking at the maid’s retreating back, Olivia was still fuming.
She walked to the window, looked at the sea of clouds churning below, and said through gritted teeth, “Don’t let me catch you… you stocking thief!”
