“Thank you.”

Following Kariel’s indication, Litt soon spotted Red’s figure.

He was in the corner, talking to that little demon about something—probably a quest.

“Red, how’s the quest negotiation going?”

Hearing that familiar voice behind him, Red was startled.

“Aren’t you going to the monastery?”

“I went,”

Litt said, putting her hands behind her back and smiling.

The little demon in front of Red finally spoke up.

She had been there earlier and, though she didn’t want to eavesdrop, had overheard some of the argument and conversation.

“Tessaya.”

Obviously, Tessaya hadn’t expected Litt to treat her so warmly.

“I’m a demon. Aren’t you afraid of me?”

Normally, the Church’s attitude toward demons was no better than toward heretics, so Tessaya was understandably nervous when Litt approached.

“No, Miss Tessaya, you’re so cute—why would I be afraid?”

Litt put her hands together in a prayer gesture.

“As for demons? It’s fine. Our Lord embraces all, demons included, so I would never discriminate against or hate demons.”

Hearing this, Tessaya fell silent for a moment—not because she was moved, but because this sudden kindness was unfamiliar and unsettling.

As a demon, she had never felt this before.

She was always alone.

“You may doubt everything about me, but never my devotion to the Lord.”

Seeing the ID in her hand, Liz was stunned.

How could she be real?

And for some reason, Liz felt that Litt’s kind smile carried a hint of mockery.
