Mu Qingxue did not respond.
She thought Chen Xiaoyan was being a bit ridiculous. How could a game item possibly be brought into the real world? This wasn’t a novel; it was far too fantastical.
Whatever, she would let her friend have her fun. She would just treat it as if she were buying a piece of jewelry at a bargain price. Speaking of jewelry, Mu Qingxue remembered the necklace she saw on Chen Xiaoyan’s neck the night before last.
A sudden thought crossed her mind. ‘Maybe I should give her a necklace in the real world too?’
1,000,000?
She felt a hint of disdain. Was that low price even worth showing off?
“What are you thinking about? You look so serious. That Salted White Chicken is coming over.” Following Chen Xiaoyan’s reminder, Mu Qingxue slowly looked toward the teleportation array.
Wearing the disciple uniform of the Divine Fist Sect, Salted White Chicken was running quickly toward them.
The sect uniforms of the Divine Fist Sect were the lowest quality among the eight great sects. Those martial artists practiced their punches all day, dripping with sweat, and no matter how good the clothes were, they would be ruined until they looked like rags.
Those who mastered body tempering had blood vitality as dazzling as the sun, and they were prone to sudden outbursts of energy. Ordinary clothes naturally could not withstand such force and would turn into fragments on the ground. Over time, the sect’s expenses became too heavy. Except for high-level management, they could no longer afford to provide proper clothing for the disciples and could only manage with whatever was available.
This was what led to the Divine Fist Sect players’ resentment toward their own sect’s clothing. Others wore white robes that made them look like ethereal immortals, while they wore earthy clothes that instantly turned them into village peasants. Even the Tang Clan looked better than them.
Who could accept that? However, there was no official game staff in the Immortal Realm, and this group of Divine Fist Sect players had no way to protest, so they had to give up.
“Hi, bosses. Nice to meet you.” Salted White Chicken waved enthusiastically at the two of them.
One was Chen Xiaoyan, and the other was Mu Qingxue. Good heavens, the top players of Tianxiang and Shushan were together?
“Hello. Let’s find a place to look at your necklace.” Chen Xiaoyan smiled slightly and glanced around, noticing many curious onlookers.
“Okay, I’ll follow you, Boss.” Salted White Chicken’s hands moved excitedly with nowhere to rest.
Chen Xiaoyan nodded and turned to return to Mu Qingxue’s small courtyard when a shout of “Little White Chicken” suddenly came from behind.
Salted White Chicken’s face darkened. He turned back to glare at his friend and silently mouthed the words, “Screw you.”
Claypot Rice didn’t notice his gesture at all. His gaze was fixed on Chen Xiaoyan and Mu Qingxue, specifically on their shining game IDs. They were bosses—two living, breathing bosses.
What should he do? Should he go up and say hello?
“And this is?” Chen Xiaoyan asked.
Salted White Chicken hooked his arm around Claypot Rice’s neck, patted his chest, and laughed. “Boss, this is my brother, Claypot Rice. Can he come with me?”
Chen Xiaoyan looked at the frowning Mu Qingxue. The latter gave her a look, telling her to handle it. Although her dislike of men wasn’t as severe in the game as it was in the real world, the feeling was still there.
“Let him wait here. It will only take a few minutes.” After saying that, Chen Xiaoyan turned and left the teleportation area.
“That’s fine, then.” Salted White Chicken gave Claypot Rice a helpless look and followed them.
As soon as the three of them left, Claypot Rice pulled his gaze back and opened his private message interface.

[Goddess’s Protection]
That was the skill name of the useless necklace. Chen Xiaoyan held the necklace in her hand and examined it, but there was nothing extraordinary about it. The surface even looked a bit old. No matter how she looked at it, it was just an ordinary necklace.
“How much are you asking for this necklace?”
“Boss Chen Xiaoyan, can I know what the purpose of buying this necklace is?”
“There is no purpose. It is purely out of curiosity.”
Salted White Chicken knew Chen Xiaoyan didn’t want to answer, so he didn’t make a fool of himself by pressing further. “Then you decide the price, Boss. No one wants this necklace anyway.”
“Fine. 10,000.”
“Thank you, Boss!” Salted White Chicken was happy to hear that price.
He suspected that there was some secret to this necklace, otherwise, it wouldn’t have caught the eye of “Chen 100,000.” However, he didn’t try to hike up the price and left the decision to her. Even if Chen Xiaoyan had only given him 100, he would have accepted it.
Regardless of whatever secret the necklace held, he didn’t know it anyway. 10,000 was much better than letting it collect dust in his backpack.
Seeing how happy he was, Chen Xiaoyan felt a bit of regret. If she had known, she should have offered less. Forget it, a few hundred or a thousand wouldn’t make much difference.
“How should we trade? Penguin or bank transfer?”
“Either is fine. Whatever is most convenient for you, Boss,” Salted White Chicken said, scratching the back of his head with a grin.
“Bank transfer,” Mu Qingxue spoke up before Chen Xiaoyan could.
If they used Penguin, the transaction would require adding him as a friend. She didn’t want any man adding Chen Xiaoyan’s Penguin account.
Salted White Chicken’s eyes darted back and forth as he quickly sized up the two bosses in front of him. Chen Xiaoyan was stunned by Mu Qingxue’s interruption and gave her a confused look before nodding. “Then bank transfer it is.”
“Okay, Boss.”
After Salted White Chicken gave his card number, he was instantly shooed away by Mu Qingxue. Chen Xiaoyan could only give a bitter smile.
“Qingxue, was that really necessary?”
Mu Qingxue walked into the inner room, sat on the bed, and brushed her long hair behind her shoulder. “I feel annoyed just looking at him.”
“If you have this condition, you shouldn’t have come with me.”
“Xiaoyan, you have to be more cautious of men in the future. I won’t say all of them, but most of them are not good people,” Mu Qingxue warned with a serious face.
Chen Xiaoyan smiled and didn’t answer. This girl had been kidnapped by human traffickers when she was a child, which left her with a trauma regarding men. It was only natural for her to be wary.
“Alright, let’s not talk about that. Let’s talk about this necklace. What do you plan to do?”
Chen Xiaoyan picked up the necklace, looked at it, thought for a moment, and then tossed it into her game backpack. “I’ll look at it later. It was just out of curiosity. I’m not 100% sure it will be useful.”
Mu Qingxue gave her an annoyed look and then opened her private message interface. She sent Salted White Chicken’s card number to Qiu Xue.
“I’ve asked Qiu Xue to send the money. Log off and let’s have a meeting in the group.”
“A meeting?” Chen Xiaoyan thought the 10,000 would be deducted from her salary, so she didn’t ask further and focused on the meeting.
“Yes. All core members of Xueyan Pavilion must participate, along with Sword Pavilion.”
“Oh.”
Chen Xiaoyan understood. This was a battle meeting regarding Peerless Tower.
“What about Shenzhou?”
Mu Qingxue curled her lip in disdain. “Forget about them. I don’t feel comfortable telling our plans to those fence-sitters.”
“Fine. I’ll notify Chongchong.”
Chen Xiaoyan sent a private message to Chongchong and then followed Mu Qingxue to log off.

Tianxiang players: Meow, meow, meow?
The management of Xueyan Pavilion and Sword Pavilion started a discussion group.
Xueyan Pavilion: Mu Qingxue, Chen Xiaoyan, San Xue, Yu Tian, True Martial Junior Sister.
Sword Pavilion: Liu Yue (Dao is Void), Please Give Me Flying Sword, Asking the Red Dust, Three Feet of Autumn Water.
Mu Qingxue: Xiaoyan, look at that Asking the Red Dust from the Sword Pavilion management. Doesn’t his name look a bit like a couple’s name with Liu Yue’s?
When Chen Xiaoyan saw this message from Mu Qingxue, she immediately grew anxious.
‘Damn it, which one of them is looking for a death wish by trying to steal my girl?’
Roaring inwardly, she immediately went to the discussion group to scroll through the member list. She saw Asking the Red Dust at a glance; his shiny Level 10 VIP badge was very obvious.
She clicked on his profile to take a look.
Oh, he’s a man.
