Her voice lowered.

Gu Qingying went silent.

Fu Shangyu’s thoughts spiraled further.

Images surfaced in her mind—the masked Regent Zhou Yan, and the veiled sword cultivator Jian Mingzi they had encountered last night.

Both of them had felt suspicious.

‘What if one of them… or both… are actually women in disguise?’
