While Liyami was currently rejoicing that last night had not been a dream, Kolin also spotted her as she suddenly ran out into the hallway.
Kolin was about to say hello when he realized that Liyami wasn’t even wearing shoes, and her clothes were somewhat disheveled. It looked like she had rushed out immediately after waking up. Kolin’s brow twitched at the sight.
Facing Liyami, who looked as if she were about to be exposed — or more accurately, already was — Kolin had originally intended to warn her.
However, just as he was about to speak, he remembered what had happened last night. This immediately left him at a loss for words.
Consequently, Kolin didn’t say a single word until Liyami snapped out of her celebration and noticed her own disheveled state. He simply stood there in silence, doing nothing at all.
This turned out for the best, as Liyami noticed Kolin’s behavior and did not get angry. On the contrary, she felt quite happy. As long as Kolin acted this way, it meant that the events of last night were real and not just a dream she had envisioned. How could that not make her happy?
Despite her joy, Liyami had not forgotten that her current appearance was not suitable for being seen by others. Although there were few people in the Mansion she minded seeing her like this, she didn’t think it was entirely fine.
Liyami still placed great importance on her own nudity. She didn’t want to show herself to anyone other than Kolin, not even to Lavinia and the others!
Thus, Liyami returned to her usual demeanor. After casually greeting Kolin, she headed back to her room.
This left Kolin, who had been standing there as if facing a great enemy, feeling somewhat bewildered. He didn’t quite understand why Liyami had suddenly run out to glance at him only to retreat again.
But since she had returned to her room, Kolin didn’t dwell on it. After standing there for a while, he let out a sigh and departed.
After all, he was still troubled by the events of last night. He wasn’t nearly as relaxed as Liyami was.
***
A short while later, Liyami had finished dressing and washing up. She was walking into the Mansion dining room, ready for breakfast.
The moment she entered, she saw Kolin sitting on one side of the dining table, with Eleanor sitting beside him and Lavinia across from them. It seemed she was the last one to arrive.
Seeing this, Liyami did not hesitate. Under Eleanor’s surprised and somewhat dazed gaze, she sat directly next to Kolin, joining Eleanor to form a pincer-like formation around him.
This scene not only surprised Eleanor, but even Lavinia couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. Kolin’s reaction was even more pronounced.
He had felt a bad premonition the moment Liyami walked in. Sure enough, she sat right next to him, causing his movements as he ate breakfast to become stiff.
That wasn’t the end of it. Just as Kolin was finally starting to adapt, Liyami suddenly leaned closer to his arm. Without any warning, his arm was forced to come into contact with Liyami’s Big White Rabbit.
This situation caused Kolin to tense up immediately, and he nearly jumped out of his seat.
“What — what are you doing?”
Kolin wanted to question why Liyami was doing this, but he only received a confused look in return.
“What do you mean, ‘what am I doing’? What are you talking about? I didn’t do anything.”
Liyami’s expression couldn’t have been more innocent; Kolin was almost tempted to believe her.
It wasn’t until he noticed the slight curl at the corner of her lips that he realized she was doing it entirely on purpose!
Even so, Kolin couldn’t say much. After all, if he were the one to speak out about his arm touching Liyami’s Big White Rabbit, it wouldn’t look good no matter how he phrased it. Combined with Liyami’s innocent expression, he would be forced to take the blame all by himself.
Therefore, faced with her extremely innocent explanation, Kolin had no choice but to swallow the words he wanted to say.
But while Kolin stayed silent, Liyami did not stop.
“Ah! Are you talking about how your arm accidentally touched my breast? Oh, you don’t need to worry about it too much. It couldn’t be helped, could it? Who told my chest to be so big? Unlike some people, who make it hard to tell what gender they are just by standing there.”
Liyami directly mentioned the fact that Kolin’s arm had touched her chest and followed it with a pointed apology. Eleanor, who had been sitting quietly to the side, froze for a moment before she couldn’t help but stand up.
“You! What are you talking about!”
Eleanor questioned her directly, but just like Kolin, she only received an innocent look from Liyami.
“What are you saying, Eleanor? Is there something wrong with what I said? Some people are indeed like that. Don’t tell me, Eleanor, are you one of those people I was talking about? If that is the case, then I am truly sorry. I didn’t mean to offend you.”
Liyami’s apology was utterly devoid of sincerity, and it made Eleanor feel as if her head were about to catch fire. However, Eleanor did not continue to bicker with her, as there was no benefit in doing so.
Although Eleanor didn’t know why Liyami had suddenly become so aggressive, she still had some confidence in herself. She wouldn’t fall for such a simple provocation.
So, in the face of Liyami’s apology, Eleanor said nothing. She simply snorted and sat back down.
Liyami didn’t react to this either; she just smiled and continued eating her breakfast.
As for Kolin, who was sitting in the middle, he was having a rather rough time. In that situation, he hadn’t dared to interrupt and could only wait in silence for the ordeal to end.
Even after it ended, things weren’t easy for him. The smell of gunpowder lingering over the dining table was so heavy that even Laura, who walked up to clear the dishes, couldn’t help but frown.
Kolin was the same. After finishing his breakfast, he fled as if escaping a disaster. Even Eleanor, who wanted to chase after him, couldn’t catch up, leaving her behind alone.
Realizing that Kolin’s behavior was a bit different from usual, Eleanor first looked at Liyami, but she only saw a smiling expression.
Eleanor said nothing to this. She simply let out an indignant snort and left, intending to find Kolin first.
Seeing this, Liyami was in no hurry and didn’t follow Eleanor to look for him.
Based on her understanding of Kolin, she knew he definitely wanted to be alone right now. Even if someone found him, they would likely only be politely rejected.
Therefore, Liyami did not go looking for Kolin like Eleanor did, but stayed where she was instead.
Of course, there was another reason she remained…
Liyami stopped looking at the doorway where Kolin had departed and turned toward Lavinia, who was sitting upright as if nothing had happened.
This was the real reason Liyami stayed behind; she had some things she wanted to discuss with Lavinia.
