Even though Red had a thousand complaints in his heart, in the end, he chose to hold them back.
The main thing was to see just what this so-called “Dress-up Magical Doll” was all about.
He looked around and saw that the place was filled with all sorts of parts.
Because each customer had different requests, the parts were all scattered about—one row of shelves was filled with arms, another with legs, and the limbs came in different lengths, sizes, and dozens of styles.
Inside the cabinets were all sorts of eyeballs and hundreds of eyeless heads.
Honestly, just looking at this scene, it really did feel a bit like a horror movie.
Even Mason shuddered a little at the sight.
“Don’t you guys… feel a bit itchy just looking at all this?”
“Ah, it’s not so bad once they’re assembled! If you don’t believe me, look over there. Those are finished products—very beautiful.”
Following the direction Tos pointed, Red clearly saw that, on a glass display case in another row, finished samples were arranged in perfect order.
“These samples were assembled by customers from all over and left in the shop. If you want to buy one, you can spend some money and take it home. It’ll cost about this much,”
Little Succubus Xiloyi gestured a number with her fingers.
Although she didn’t say it aloud, Red could tell it was at least over ten thousand.
“You can also try them out here, but you can’t take them out. Of course, if none of these are to your liking, you can assemble your own.”
After Xiloyi’s introduction, Red browsed the samples for a bit.
As he swept his gaze across, he suddenly noticed a particularly interesting sample.
This one looked exactly like Xiloyi standing in front of him.
No… it was probably made from her Impression Mold.
“You guessed right, customer. That is me. I made it myself. Are you interested?”
“No.”
Red had absolutely no interest in this rather mature Succubus.
Though she was small and looked cute, her personality was totally like an auntie.
More importantly… she was absolutely covered in Tos’s scent, so strong it was overwhelming.
Resenting the house also means resenting the crow—so Red naturally had no interest in Xiloyi’s Magical Doll either.
“I’ll just stick with the classic.”
While Red was disgusted, Tos had no such scruples.
He pointed at the “Xiloyi” in the glass display and said, “I’ll trouble you to activate her for me in a bit, Xiloyi. I’ll go wait in the room.”
“All right, you go ahead.”
Xiloyi nodded, then produced a strange, flesh-colored, wriggling creature from who knows where.
“Still using this model?”
“Yeah, that one.”
Tos grinned mischievously, then went ahead into a private room.
Watching the creature in Xiloyi’s hand, Red thought for a moment.
He knew what it was.
It was a kind of demon beast from the lower levels of the Dungeon, called an Imitation Worm.
It could mimic things to a certain extent, transforming into all sorts of things to ambush adventurers in the Dungeon.
But the one in Xiloyi’s hand had clearly been tamed.
Still, what exactly did she want it for?
Xiloyi seemed to see through Red’s doubts.
She lit her pipe, took a puff, and smiled as she explained.
“Simply put, this is for Impression Molding. As for that ‘classic’ set the last customer mentioned—that’s actually my Impression Mold.”
At this, Brian chimed in.
“As far as I know, Tos always picks this same routine.”
Upon hearing this, Red and Mason both felt a surge of respect.
Mason couldn’t help but comment,
“With that attitude, I don’t even know if Tos counts as a Pure Love Paladin anymore.”
Red echoed,
“Pure Love Bounty Hunter.”
“Don’t just stand there—go on, take a look and pick something. I’ll go get busy,”
With those words, Xiloyi likely went to activate the Magical Doll for Tos, just as he’d asked.
The rest of the group didn’t pay much attention and began picking parts and assembling on their own.
After a while, Red suddenly realized something.
“Didn’t that little Succubus just say she was going to activate the Magical Doll?”
“Yeah,” Mason, who was assembling a Magical Doll, answered without thinking.
“What about it? I just saw her go into Tos’s room.”
“That can’t be right. If the Magical Doll already went into Tos’s room, then what’s that over there?”
Mason looked up and, following Red’s gaze, saw that the “Xiloyi” Magical Doll that was supposed to have been activated and taken to Tos’s room was still standing intact, lifeless, and utterly inert in the glass display case in the corner, just like a perfectly dressed mannequin—absolutely no sign of ever being started up.
“Huh?”
Now he understood too.
“So the one that went into Tos’s room just now… could it be—?”
Everyone looked at each other, as if they’d all figured it out.
Red couldn’t help but grumble,
“No wonder I could smell Tos all over that little Succubus—and so strong too…
“Tos always played proper games with her at that Roleplay shop, but I didn’t think they’d get so wild here,” Brian crossed his arms.
“Obviously, he hasn’t even realized himself.”
“I remember that little Succubus had a huge appetite, right?”
Mason couldn’t help but complain.
“A Pure Love Bounty Hunter and a ravenous little Succubus? Now that’s a real pair of Star-crossed Lovers…”
After that, the air fell silent.
Mason and Brian fiddled for a long time but never managed to make the “Goddess” they imagined in their minds.
In the end, Mason slumped to the ground, looking at the ghastly, un-human Magical Doll before him, feeling his self-confidence take a massive hit.
“What the hell is this…”
As for the Magical Doll he and Brian made together—well, to say it had any resemblance at all would be a stretch…
At the very least, it looked nothing like a real person.
Brian stared at it for a while, finally gave up, and started picking from the shop’s samples.
“Red, how’s yours coming along…”
Mason looked over at Red, intending to see what kind of abomination he’d come up with—only to do a double take and be stunned on the spot.
It wasn’t that he’d made something monstrous, but… it was just way too beautiful!
Waterfall-like silver hair, deep blue eyes, a figure that wasn’t exactly curvy but definitely not pitifully flat either—everything was perfectly balanced.
Combined with that exquisite face…
It was no exaggeration to call it a work of art!
If there was anything to nitpick… the Magical Doll looked oddly familiar.
If he had to say, it looked a bit like a grown-up Letia?
Or maybe, a blend of Letia and Litt?
After all, those two did share some similar features.
But this result was just too amazing!
It truly could be called a masterpiece.
“Master!”
Mason immediately knelt to Red.
“Make one for me too.”
How cute, someone really likes Tos.
