More than ten days later, the Hero’s Party, having ventured deep into the Demon Domain, successfully returned to Saint Lisha Academy.
They had successfully rescued their teammate and informed the old priests that the Northern Demon King had been defeated.
The Northern Demon King’s Army, the greatest threat to the borders of the United Kingdom, was now in shambles.
However, this news did not cause any major stir; it was merely considered good news.
To the Church, the Northern Demon King’s Army was not some peerless enemy.
After all, it was not their Saintly Officials who had to fill the gaps on the front lines.
Furthermore, Saint Lisha Academy was a secret institution.
The identities of the Hero and the Sacred Maiden had never been publicly announced. No one knew Baicheng or Little Black.
This was the most meaningless battle between a Hero and a Demon King in historyโno one even cared.
It could only be said that while Jukkido Simon was a bit of a nuisance, she had never committed any unforgivable atrocities.
She had been quite a failure as a Demon King.
“This is good. This is very good,” Qingshamu said, sounding quite satisfied with the situation.
Years ago, she had been harmed by her own fame.
The Church had used endless propaganda to push her onto a pedestal until everyoneโincluding herselfโbelieved she was the savior of the world, only for her to be easily discarded in the end.
In any case, Qingshamu would not easily trust the Church again.
For now, their relationship was strictly one of mutual benefit.
After all, her daughter was the Church’s Sacred Maiden and her foster daughter was the Church’s Hero.
This meant enjoying wealth, honor, and unlimited resources.
Indeed, now that the Dragon Father had been defeated, Heiqi Long had directly taken Qingshamu as her foster mother.
Poor Jukkido Simon even had her daughter snatched away by her rival; her life was truly a complete loss.
The Church had also invited its greatest parasite.
This generation’s Hero was not someone easily manipulated, as she was being secretly coached by a Former Hero mentor who had seen through the Church’s true colors.
The current Hero did not trust the Church, and her heart did not belong to it.
One could only say that they were allied because their goals temporarily aligned.
If the Church tried to do something against her conscience, the Hero would immediately turn on them.
If she turned, the Sacred Maiden would undoubtedly turn as well.
However, Saint Lisha Academy relied entirely on these two great figures for support.
They used them to balance against the Central Church, constantly demanding more funding.
As a result, Saint Lisha Academy and the local Church could only treat the two of them like little ancestors, providing them with the best food and drink.
They didn’t dare speak to them in a loud voice and granted them a great deal of freedom, allowing them to enter and leave Saint Lisha Academy as they pleased.
This led to the Hero and the Sacred Maiden rarely staying in the dull environment of the Church.
Right next door was the vast No Man’s Land of the Hunyou Mountains for them to explore, and they dove straight in to live as adventurers.
Regarding this behavior, Saint Lisha Academy had only one requirement: they had to wear their Saintly Official robes while operating outside.
That way, any merits they earned would be credited to the Church.
The Hero and the Sacred Maiden did not disappoint.
News of them defeating legendary Demonic Beasts arrived from time to time, and their fame soared.
Unfortunately, the Saintly Officials and the adventurers had no idea that their own Hero and Sacred Maiden were actually two Great Beasts. The world was truly unpredictable.
As for Qingshamu, she took Feini and Xueyuedai Emma back to the Adventurer’s Guild Small Manor where they had once lived.
She then extracted a large sum of money from the Church to expand the manor.
She built a fully equipped Swordsmanship Academy on the grounds and began recruiting disciples to teach swordsmanship, starting a legitimate business.
Meanwhile, Feini and Emma were hidden away in a quiet, secluded area deep within the academy.
As the saying goes, the most dangerous place is the safest place.
Since this was a legally operating academy for orthodox swordsmanship, no one would suspect anything was wrong, and even if they did, they had no authority to enter and search the premises.
Using her titles as the Sword of the Bright Moon and a retired Hero, Qingshamu quickly attracted many young adventurers to study swordsmanship.
Besides teaching sword skills, she also shared her experiences as an adventurer and taught them how to see through the schemes of black-hearted guilds.
She gave every young adventurer a lesson on society first to help them avoid going astray.
The Former Hero worked diligently upon her return.
It was likely her way of distracting herself.
……
Some time passed.
On a day filled with wind and rain, Feini paced back and forth at the door, as anxious as an ant on a hot griddle.
“Nngh! Nngh! Mmm!” Sounds that resembled someone struggling with constipation echoed from inside the room.
Clatterโ
After a long time, the noise subsided. Qingshamu walked out, drying her hands with a towel.
“How is it?” Feini asked urgently.
“Itโs born. Mother and daughter are both safe,” Qingshamu said.
She never expected she would have to help her rival deliver a baby. However, she had no choice.
The child Emma was having was not a child of the Human Race, so they couldn’t call for a priest.
Qingshamu had to do it herself.
Fortunately, she was effectively half a Saintly Official and had some skill; the birth had proceeded without any major scares.
Feini rushed into the room and went to the bedside.
There, she saw a pale Emma holding an infant wrapped in a clean towel.
However, when Feini poked her head over to look, she saw a plump, white fox pup.
Well, it was very cute, but it left her feeling somewhere between laughter and tears.
“What’s with that expression? Are you looking down on your own child?” Emma demanded.
“How could I? Let me hold her,” Feini said.
Emma pouted, reluctantly letting Feini hold the child.
“Hehe.” Feini reached out a finger to tease the fox pup.
Ow-ow! The fox pup was very lively, biting Feini’s finger without hesitation.
“When are you going to do that for me?” Emma asked.
“Do what?” Feini asked back.
“Iโve already given birth to your child, so of course it’s that,” Emma said bashfully, acting quite fidgety.
“?” Feini was completely confused.
“Itโs that, then,” Qingshamu said from beside the door, evidently understanding exactly what was meant.
“What on earth are you two talking about?” Feini didn’t understand at all.
Emma and Qingshamu exchanged a look, as if they had secretly reached some kind of deal or plan.
A few days later, Heiqi Long and White Feather Dove, who had been adventuring outside for a while, received a letter and returned to the Swordsmanship Academy to attend their parents’ wedding.
That was it! The thing Fox Fox had been pestering everyone about every day was holding a wedding.
On this day, Feini was forced into a wedding dress and led in a daze to the secret small chapel of the Swordsmanship Academy.
She saw Emma already waiting there, also dressed in a wedding dress. Something felt wrong, though.
Would the other jealous lover allow this to happen?
Soon, Feini saw Qingshamu appear, wearing an even more magnificent Sacred Maiden’s wedding dress.
However, she walked up to the altar; she was there to act as the officiant.
“Phinirose, Xueyuedai Emma, in the presence of the Goddess, are you willing to declare your feelings and become spouses, vowing to love each other for a lifetime and never part?” Qingshamu held the Hero’s Sword as she made the solemn vow.
“I do,” Emma answered immediately, kneeling down.
“Iโฆ do.” Feiniโs answer was a beat slow, and her thigh was fiercely pinched by Emma.
‘I feel like my head is going to be chopped off by the Hero’s Sword the moment I finish saying this.’
“Phinirose, Qingshamu Ailuma, in the presence of the Goddess, are you willing to declare your feelings and become spouses, vowing to love each other for a lifetime and never part?”
Qingshamu asked again with even more solemnity, only this time she had changed the name.
After speaking, she slid down from the officiant’s platform, knelt beside Feini, and said softly, “I do.”
“Iโฆ also do.” Feini truly didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Her response was a beat slow again, and her other thigh was pinched by Qingshamu.
So it was a three-person wedding?
This was likely the most bizarre wedding she had ever seen.
No wonder the only spectators were Baicheng and Little Black.
‘If the Goddess ever manifested, she would definitely want to bash our three skulls in. Would she really witness this for us?’ Feini ranted inwardly.
Clap clap! Clap! Clap clap!
Heiqi Long suddenly stood up and clapped wildly.
“Congratulations, Mother, Father, and classmate Emma.”
White Feather Dove also stood up to offer her congratulations, though she couldn’t clap as she was holding her new younger sister, the fox pup.
Feini was sandwiched between the two women. Both of her hands were seized as she was forcibly pulled up.
Finally, it was time for the last part. Emma and Qingshamu pouted on either side of her, closing their eyes to wait for a kiss.
“Hey! Hey!”
Feini took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and shook her head from side to side.
Utilizing the fastest speed of her life, she kissed both of her wives in an instant.
Even a tough woman like Qingshamu turned red in the face, looking extremely shy.
Looking dazed, Feini left the small chapel with a wife on each arm, heading back to the small bedroom next door to celebrate.
Even though her two wives seemed more like wolves or tigers while she was just a coerced little tadpole.
‘Must it be this comical even at the very end, Feini?’
(The End)
