“Princess, Serveyia has left. Can you tell us your thoughts now?”
Liuli suspected that Serveyia’s departure was a result of the three of them discussing it beforehand.
She remembered back during the Bonfire Party when Serveyia had discussed the possibility of sharing the person she loved.
She also remembered Serveyia saying that while she was unwilling to share, someone in her position often lacked a choice.
Serveyia was likely in that same boat.
‘If I really end up accepting everyone’s confessions, what kind of expression will Serveyia make?’
“I… to be honest, I don’t know…”
My gaze drifted in the direction Serveyia had gone.
The unspoken meaning in my words was likely obvious.
While having a beautiful Harem was every straight man’s dream, if I was the one being pampered, did I really have the courage to seek out more people to pamper me?
Since I didn’t know how to choose, it was better to throw the question back and let the two of them decide for me.
“Princess — are you playing dumb? Do you really not know why Serveyia left?”
Fina certainly wasn’t going to let me off the hook.
Besides, it wasn’t like I didn’t know.
Serveyia’s action was essentially a sign of silent consent.
I knew it, but being forced to make the choice myself always made me feel a sense of guilt.
“Aili, do you really like me, just as Fina said?”
“If I say yes, will you agree, Princess?”
Well, it seemed Aili wasn’t as timid as Fina claimed.
At the very least, she could clearly express her thoughts now, which was actually quite impressive.
“I… I suppose I would…”
To be honest, Liuli didn’t dislike Aili deep down.
After all, as a member of the Elf Race, Aili naturally possessed the delicate features inherent to her kind.
This was almost a finishing move for Liuli, who was a sucker for good looks.
Actually, the most important factor was Serveyia’s attitude.
Since Serveyia had not rejected the idea, did that mean she was not opposed to Liuli starting a Harem?
“I’m just a bit curious. Why do you like me, Aili? Is it just because of my status and appearance?”
To put it simply, Liuli didn’t expect a serious answer from Aili.
After all, they had only met a few times and shared no deep bond.
In that regard, choosing Aili was even less logical than choosing Fina.
Moreover, this question was difficult to answer.
When Serveyia had asked her the same thing, her own answer had been love at first sight.
Asking such a question now felt fundamentally hypocritical.
“Princess, I know my affection might seem very cheap in your eyes. However, please give me a chance. I will prove that my feelings are not without merit.”
Aili’s answer was somewhat outside of Liuli’s expectations.
She didn’t try to explain whether it was love at first sight or an attraction to her beauty.
Instead, she stated she would cherish their future.
Truthfully, this made it difficult to refuse.
‘Since she put it that way, can I really not give her a chance?’
“I understand, Aili. I can give you a chance. However, I can’t give you a definitive answer right now. I can promise that once we return to the Academy, I will give you a clear response.”
Liuli didn’t know why she was being so cowardly now.
She could have just agreed directly.
‘What exactly am I worried about?’
“Is that so? I understand.”
Aili wasn’t as disappointed as she had imagined.
It seemed she understood the meaning behind those words.
After all, it was a roundabout way of giving Aili a chance to develop their relationship.
She just didn’t know if the duration of this diplomatic visit would be enough.
“Little Fox, it’s time for lunch.”
Just as expected, Serveyia must have planned this with them.
Her timing was perfect.
“Serveyia, did you plan this with them?”
I couldn’t suppress my curiosity and whispered to Serveyia while Aili and Fina were out of earshot.
“Why would you think that, Little Fox?”
Serveyia didn’t admit it directly, instead answering with a question of her own.
However, that question was basically an admission.
So, the next question was simple.
“But Serveyia, why would you do this?”
Although Serveyia had told me it was almost certain I would be shared, we had only just confirmed our relationship.
Would Serveyia really be willing to share me so soon?
“I just feel that whether it’s Aili or Fina, I at least know their backgrounds. I can barely accept sharing you with people like them. Besides, I have a feeling that bringing Aili on this visit might involve some of Principal Kaili’s own selfish motives.”
“You mean —”
“Alright, it’s time to eat lunch.”
Serveyia interrupted me.
It seemed that was indeed the case.
However, looking at Aili, who was already seated at the dining table, did she know all of this?
‘If she did, would she have coordinated her words with Principal Kaili beforehand? In that case, was the answer she just gave me truly from her heart?’
Liuli felt she couldn’t keep thinking about it.
If she did, it would only make her more uneasy.
Instead of that, it was better to just trust Aili and believe her words earlier were sincere.
“So, Little Fox, what is your reply?”
“I didn’t give a direct answer. I felt that the two of us need to develop some feelings first. So, I decided to reply to Aili after we return to the Academy. Serveyia, did I do the right thing?”
Liuli didn’t know why she was asking Serveyia about this.
No matter how it sounded, this question seemed very private.
Normally, people would only ask their parents something like this.
Looking at it this way, it seemed Fina had been right; she really did seem to listen to Serveyia a lot.
“There is no right or wrong in matters of the heart. As long as you can convince yourself, that is enough.”
Well, it seemed Serveyia didn’t intend to comment on her choice.
However, the reason Liuli had asked was more like a request.
Since she had told Aili that, it meant she needed time to be with Serveyia while also needing to spend some time alone with Aili.
But such things couldn’t be said too bluntly.
After all, she and Serveyia were a couple.
The act of looking for wild flowers right in front of her partner was quite outrageous.
She really didn’t have the face to make such a request of Serveyia.
Approaching the dining table, lunch was indeed ready, just as Serveyia had said.
However, looking at the meal that was different from what Serveyia usually prepared, Liuli knew at a glance that Serveyia hadn’t actually gone to prepare it.
Or rather, she hadn’t prepared it herself.
Liuli could at least judge that much.
Though lunch wasn’t as good as what she ate in Qingli Hall, considering they were currently on an RV, the conditions weren’t great to begin with.
By comparison, it didn’t seem so bad.
Wait, she had already said similar things many times today.
‘Could it be that in my heart, the RV is really that unbearable?’
In fact, she seemed to have been looking at the RV through colored glasses all day.
Until now, she hadn’t really found many unsuitable aspects.
It was perfectly acceptable.
Lunch was simple because Serveyia said they needed to hurry.
They had to take advantage of the good weather during the day to put some distance behind them and leave Moonlight Forest as soon as possible.
However, Liuli looked at the map on her Phone and felt that leaving Moonlight Forest today was unrealistic.
Generally speaking, undeveloped forests would have wild animals.
While Moonlight Forest wasn’t strictly undeveloped — since it contained Saint Laia Academy and roads connecting to the outside — the area of these facilities was still too small compared to the overall size of the forest.
It was normal for wild animals to wander in.
Moreover, even though she had Serveyia and many guards with her, if there really were wild animals, she would likely be disturbed.
She really didn’t want to be disturbed.
“Serveyia, are there wild animals in Moonlight Forest?”
“Wild animals? No, but there are quite a few Magic Beasts. Most of them were released by the Academy so that students can train within the forest. To ensure they stay wild, these Magic Beasts are usually under Spells to increase their aggression.”
“Then… isn’t camping at night very dangerous?”
“Since they are Magic Beasts used for training, the danger level is definitely within the Academy’s expectations. The guards I chose can handle them with ease. Rather than worrying about that, Little Fox, you should worry about whether you can sleep soundly while camping.”
Serveyia’s words clearly treated her like a porcelain doll.
This made Liuli very unhappy.
Just as she wanted to retort, she thought of her current sensitive body, and the words died in her throat.
If she really felt uncomfortable and couldn’t sleep tonight, wouldn’t she just be slapping her own face?
It wouldn’t be too late to retort tomorrow!
