“No way, no way?”
Letia covered her mouth, teasingly saying, “You can’t possibly be thinking… about that kind of thing, right?”
Hearing Letia’s mischievous tone, Red’s lips couldn’t help but twitch.
But to be honest, he was actually getting a little used to it—how did that happen?
He didn’t even feel a trace of anger.
Instead, he just wanted to give her a good rub on the head.
Maybe it was because he mostly understood that Letia was all talk, but never meant any real harm?
“Alright, alright, hurry up and get what you need. I’ve got other things to do.”
“Well, no rush, no rush~”
Letia said as she suddenly turned to Red with a hint of doubt, “But this is an exclusive women’s shop. Red, are you going to be alright? Don’t let your eyes wander everywhere. If you get caught by the Knight Order, I won’t be able to save you.”
“Hey… at least make an attempt to save me,” Red sighed, speechless, but still explained, “You don’t need to worry about that. It’s not even my first time in this kind of place.”
A long, long time ago, before the Dawnblade had even been founded, Red and Liz had come to this exclusive women’s shop to buy clothes.
He had to admit, he was nervous at the time, but now that he thought about it, the more nervous you acted, the more suspicious it seemed, didn’t it?
“Wait? You came with Liz? Or with Litt?”
“Of course, with Liz. I’m not as close to Litt as you think… Honestly, it’s not like we’re close enough to come to a place like this together.”
The way Red said it, Letia couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
“Not even bros?”
She looked at Red, struggling to keep a straight face.
“So you’re saying… you’re only close enough with me to come to this kind of place together? Red, you… pfft!!”
At Letia’s finger-pointing, a vein bulged on Red’s forehead.
“How about you remember who’s the one who dragged me here in the first place!”
Of course, his protest was selectively ignored by Letia.
After a pause—perhaps she had laughed enough—she straightened up and looked at Red.
“Hey, Red, if you ask me, I think you’re just a little too insecure, aren’t you?”
Having lived two lives, Letia could see through Red’s psychological issues.
Because there was such a gap between his and Liz’s status, and because they had been together for so long, he probably cared a lot about his own background.
But he wasn’t entirely wrong—status and background really do have a huge impact on a person.
Even if a child from a lower class managed to get close to one from the upper class, in the end, they would most likely drift apart because of different worldviews.
It was true in his past life, and even more so in this one.
“That’s not it.”
Red shrugged, denying it.
He knew it himself, but there was no need to admit it.
If Litt had asked him this question, maybe he’d have felt a little worried or conflicted.
But not with Letia.
She really was just talking, hardly caring too much.
She seemed to treat everyone that way.
“Alright, alright…”
As Red expected, Letia didn’t pursue the topic any further.
Her distant way of interacting was actually pretty comfortable.
“So where do you want to go? Anywhere’s fine with me.”
“Mhm~”
Letia’s lips curled into a faint smile.
“Anywhere is fine? Hehe…”
And so, under Letia’s lead, Red entered this forbidden territory he rarely set foot in.
But before he’d gotten far, he stopped in his tracks.
Red also looked up, glancing at the sign overhead.
Letia spoke up.
“Then come with me to a lingerie shop.”
Red, who had just been admiring the shop in his heart, froze at Letia’s words.
He came back to his senses, and looked at Letia, who was smiling from ear to ear, and slowly opened his mouth.
“Didn’t you say you’ve been here before? What’s with the shyness?”
“I said I’d come with Liz to buy clothes, but I’ve never set foot in a lingerie shop with her!”
If it was just clothes, Red might’ve managed, but who could’ve guessed Letia would drag him straight into a lingerie shop!
Forget going in—just standing at the door, he felt completely out of place, the stares from all around making him uneasy.
Is this really a place for men?
Yet Letia couldn’t help but laugh again, as if her prank had succeeded.
She patted Red’s arm.
“Are you really that nervous?”
Red’s lips twitched as he replied helplessly, “Look, there are barely any male customers here. How could I not be nervous?”
Looking around, there wasn’t a single male creature to be seen.
Even the cashier glanced at him like he was some kind of rare monster, and all sorts of people came to sneak a look.
Who could stand being gawked at like a monkey?
“Well, well~ most girls love shopping. You’ll only have more chances to come to places like this in the future.”
“And you?”
To ease the damned awkwardness, Red had to strike up a conversation with Letia.
“Do you like shopping?”
“Not really, but if I need to, I come. Lingerie is fine, but panties are a must.”
“What do you mean lingerie is fine?”
Red’s mind hadn’t quite caught up, but Letia leaned in to his ear, almost teasingly, and whispered.
“I mean… for someone my size, honestly, I don’t even need to wear lingerie.”
Hearing that, Red’s pupils shook.
He instinctively glanced at Letia’s chest, but she didn’t give him a chance to look.
After a soft laugh, she strode into the shop.
“Hurry up, come on. If you keep standing at the door, do you want the Knight Order to take you away?”
Letia’s words snapped Red back.
To avoid more embarrassment—and being treated like a rare animal—he braced himself and followed her inside the lingerie shop.
“I told you not to tense up so much.”
“You…”
Red gritted his teeth, “With all this stuff on display, where am I supposed to look?”
Shelves, walls—almost every inch was covered in all kinds of intimate apparel: lingerie, panties, stockings, shorts…
There was nowhere safe to look.
Honestly, staring straight at Letia was the best option.
It was just that her grin was so wicked, Red felt like she had dragged him here on purpose just to mess with him.
Red tried to calm himself down, but no matter how he tried, he couldn’t slow his heartbeat—especially with Letia holding up panties and stockings against herself from time to time.
Who could stand this?
His eyes wouldn’t obey him, and since Letia had turned sideways, he could barely even see her face, which made it even harder.
There was also a soft, unique fragrance filling the shop—he didn’t know where it came from.
The more he tried to take a deep breath to calm himself, the faster his heart pounded.
“So? How does it feel,” Letia said with a laugh, just as Red’s mind was spinning out of control.
“This is a world belonging only to girls—what do you think?”
“Absolutely… terrible…”
Red’s face flushed red, but once Letia turned to face him, he actually managed to calm down a bit.
Sure enough, that face was enough to cool him off.
“True,” Letia smiled brightly, “But you’d better manage your expression. Don’t let people think you’re a pervert. Hehehe~ Want to go… even deeper inside for a look?”
“Alright.”
But before she could finish, Red nodded right away.
“Let’s go.”
He rarely ever came to places like this, but now that he’d been dragged here by Letia, it was a new experience.
No way would he give up here.
At least that’s how Red saw it, and more importantly…
As steamy as this place was, Letia herself was the ultimate mood killer, so he could just about handle it.
Still lost in her own world, Letia didn’t even hear Red’s answer, and kept talking to herself.
“But thinking about it, for a shy guy like you, coming here really is a bit much. Let’s go… eh?”
She stopped.
Did Red just say something?
Seeing Letia standing still, her eyes wide like beans, Red couldn’t help but ask, a bit confused.
“Aren’t you here to buy this stuff?”
“Ah… uh… right.”
In truth, Letia had just dragged Red here to tease him.
She hadn’t planned on buying any lingerie or panties, so when Red nodded, she was actually a little at a loss, and couldn’t help but ask,
“Red… are you really this brave?”
Maybe it was because she’d tossed most of her underwear for Red to wash that he’d gotten used to it?
But his reaction just now didn’t seem like it.
Facing Letia’s look, Red, of course, refused to admit defeat.
“Nonsense, I’m super brave, aren’t I.”
