Qiansitelin looked at Naar, poked her cheek, and smiled.
“What is it? Do you have something on your mind?”
Naar remained silent.
She even turned her head away and moved a little further from Qiansitelin.
Hmm!?
This left Qiansitelin quite puzzled.
Weren’t they just chatting just fine a moment ago?
But soon, Qiansitelin keenly detected the fear and avoidance in Naar’s eyes.
Following Naar’s gaze… she was afraid of her little Your Highness?
Narrowing her eyes slightly, Qiansitelin’s gaze scanned Naar continuously.
However, even after a long while, she couldn’t sense any abnormalities from her.
Just why was this happening?
“Hmm?”
Seeing Qiansitelin’s gaze turn toward him again, Muxuan looked completely confused.
“His Holiness, did you bully Naar?”
Hearing Qiansitelin’s words, Muxuan’s lips couldn’t help but twitch.
‘You spent all that time staring just to come up with this?’
“How could I have possibly bullied her!” Muxuan said, covering his forehead in exasperation.
After thinking for a moment, Muxuan slowly walked up to Naar and asked softly, “Where is Buzhaqi? Isn’t he with you?”
Although Muxuan’s tone was already very gentle, what he received was not a response, but rather Naar backing away in fear.
Looking at Naar, whose body was trembling as she buried half of her head into the grass, Muxuan was at a total loss.
Everything was fine, so why was she like this now? He hadn’t done anything.
Besides, Naar used to be…
Fearing that Naar might get lost if she ran off, Muxuan intended to go after her, but he was stopped by Qiansitelin.
Qiansitelin’s tone also carried a hint of helplessness.
“Enough, Your Highness. Can’t you see she’s afraid of you? The direction she’s heading leads toward the city center; there shouldn’t be any danger.”
Looking in the direction Naar had fled, Muxuan rubbed his nose sheepishly.
It wasn’t that he didn’t know Naar was afraid of him… he was just worried.
Well, Buzhaqi should be back by now.
Let Buzhaqi be the one to worry.
“Let’s go. We’re heading to the base. Lutherch and Gelifende should have settled them in by now.”
—
“Theodore, if you ask me, you just accidentally ate some hallucinogenic mushrooms! How could such a wonderful place exist!”
“Haha, relax. If that Light Church is actually just The Strange, they’ll have to have a word with the giant hammer in my hand!”
“Marcus, stop bragging. You call that hammer, which is smaller than my head, a giant hammer?”
Hearing that the few people behind her didn’t believe a word she said, Theodore looked displeased.
She had told them the absolute truth, so why did no one believe her!
Seeing Theodore’s dejection, Marcus stepped forward and patted her shoulder, offering some comfort.
“It’s not that I’m trying to be mean. Look around us; it’s all Black Mist, and we have to stay on guard against The Strange. There’s no way that Light Church could make the light reappear, especially over such a large area.”
“Yeah, why would the Great Artisan God agree to something so absurd? He said it was for a trade, but I think it’s more likely we’re going there to clear out The Strange.”
Looking at Marcus and Barak beside her, Theodore truly couldn’t help but fire back.
“I told you, it’s real! Even the Great Artisan God confirmed it, so what are you still doubting!”
“What if the Great Artisan God was just humoring you? Besides, you have no way to prove it!”
Seeing the teasing smile on Barak’s face, Theodore huffed and turned her head away, deciding not to pay any more attention to the guy.
Out of their group of four, not a single one of the other three was willing to believe her.
They all thought she was having hallucinations.
But that was no hallucination at all! Even the Great Artisan God had personally confirmed it.
The fact that the Little Spider could only survive in a place where the Lightforce was thick was the best proof!
Unfortunately, she simply couldn’t produce that proof right now.
‘Hmph, once you see it, you’ll realize that my words can’t compare to the shock of seeing it for yourself!’
They were all members of the Dwarf Tribe born after the Eerie Calamity had descended, and they had only heard about the world of the past from their elders.
One could say they longed for that world of light just as much as Theodore did.
They had even specifically taken several missions to explore the outside and interact with other tribes just to find a region where light might still exist.
Regrettably, time had eroded the expectations in their hearts, leading them to no longer believe that a land of light could still exist.
This was also the reason they didn’t believe Theodore.
So many explorations, so many disappointments, and even a few near-death experiences.
“We haven’t encountered it for such a long time… how could it be possible… a land of light.”
Barak was the one among them who believed least in the land of light Theodore spoke of.
“Alright, we’ll know when we get there. There’s no need to argue.”
Seeing the frustrated and annoyed expression on Theodore’s face, Fagreim, who had remained silent, spoke up to stop them.
He didn’t want to see the group start a fight over this.
One had to keep in mind that they were still within the Black Mist, and it was not safe.
Even the few entities of The Strange that had attacked them earlier had been dealt with by him.
“Fine,” Barak responded, no longer continuing the argument with Theodore.
‘Anyway, it’s impossible!’
Theodore also gave a muffled “Mm” in response.
‘This is so annoying!’
Although she was screaming internally, Theodore felt a wave of secret delight when she thought about the shock the others would likely show when they saw the Light Church base filled with light.
‘Don’t believe me now? You’ll find out soon enough!’
Feeling the bottle hanging at her waist, Theodore firmly believed that it was definitely not a hallucination!
The Goat Milk was real, and Grandpa Lutherch was also real!
“Stay alert. This area gives me a very bad feeling.”
Among the group, Theodore was the strongest, having already reached the terrifying Moho Layer.
As for the other three, one was in the Deep Sea Layer, and two were in the Shallow Water Layer.
Therefore, Fagreim felt that a reminder was necessary.
In the next second, a thick, malice-filled aura that seemed impossible to disperse suddenly descended!
It was accompanied by the sound of chewing that made one’s scalp tingle and skin crawl.
Alarms went off in the hearts of Fagreim and the other two.
Just as they picked up their giant hammers to prepare for battle, they suddenly saw Theodore rush out.
“Theodore!”
Marcus let out a startled cry and wanted to rush forward as well, but he was pulled back by Fagreim.
“What’s the meaning of this?” Marcus turned and looked at Fagreim in confusion.
Barak and Fagreim simply pointed in Theodore’s direction at the same time.
Turning his gaze toward Theodore, Marcus was instantly relieved.
“Big Hairy!”
Theodore was hugging a brown-maned lion tightly, and she slammed her massive stone hammer hard against its back.
If it weren’t for the constant Screams coming from the brown-maned lion, an outsider would have thought there was a deep bond between it and Theodore.
“I forgot to take you with me before, and I didn’t know where you went. I didn’t expect you to take the initiative to come find me! *Sniff*, I’m so touched.”
As she spoke, Theodore tightly hugged the brown-maned lion’s head.
Accompanied by the audible *crack* of breaking bones, the brown-maned lion’s body suddenly went stiff.
