Let us shift our perspective back to God and Demon Academy……
Shijietang Simon.
The once all-powerful president of the Double Tea Party—who knows what sort of agony she endured, but ever since that judgment assembly, she had completely fallen from grace.
She couldn’t be bothered to manage the Tea Ceremony Society anymore, handing everything over to Xueyuedai, and would spend her days locked inside the judgment conference room, sitting alone in the center, sinking into depression.
Hugging her head and squatting for cover, her mind was filled with nothing but regret.
She couldn’t even meditate anymore. It had been days since she last rested.
If not for the sturdy body of a dragon, she’d have succumbed to despair long ago.
This shows just how powerful Feini’s “Bitter Meat Broth” had been.
After all, the body of a Red Dragon was unbreakable, but her soul was fragile.
The only way to deal with her was to strike at the soul.
Now, with a single Enflamed Fist, all the truths had been laid bare to her. She finally understood what she’d truly been doing all this time.
It turned out Feini had always been helping her from the shadows.
Even when she used the Forbidden Flame Art to sever her connection with Feini, some spiritual link had still remained—and Feini had the upper hand.
She’d never noticed it. Feini could even control her.
The thought sent chills down her spine. That meant Feini had seen through her true identity from their very first meeting.
Shijietang Simon recalled their first encounter.
Feini had looked at her with nothing but disgust, completely different from those other beast-girl students who were drawn to her beauty.
Now she finally understood why.
But what she found even harder to accept was that, even with the power to crush her at any moment, Feini had still chosen to help her in secret.
So every time she escaped danger, it wasn’t thanks to her own cleverness, but Feini’s wisdom.
Then what had she done?
Cursed and beat her own daughter every day.
Killed her wife with a single punch.
Betrayed her wife and daughter for the sake of honor.
Why was she so furious when she first saw Heiqi Long? Because she was her own daughter.
The strict discipline of the dragon race had kicked in at once—she had to put her daughter in her place.
No wonder the Dragon Mother had said to take her child home for a visit after meeting her. Turns out, she really did have a daughter.
Ha, I really am the world’s biggest fool.
Now she ruled the entire First-year High School Department, a monarch-level demon beast able to command all.
Forget about the Tea Ceremony Society—now even the Tea Party listened to her orders, and the Martial Arts Club had forged a stronger alliance with the Double Tea Party.
After Orange Sea Dream was defeated by Heiqi Long, her reputation was ruined, and she hadn’t shown her face in a long while. No one knew where she’d gone to nurse her wounds.
There were even new campus legends, saying that Heiqi Long was actually a spy planted by Shijietang Simon, a half-dragon raised by her to act as Killer Copper against Orange Sea Dream.
Otherwise, why was Orange Sea Dream the only one chasing after Demonkind traitors while Shijietang Simon was always “sick” and avoiding battle?
All sorts of strange conspiracy theories were spreading, and Shijietang Simon never appeared to clear them up—the rumors grew more and more bizarre.
She had achieved her dreams, gained everything—so what was the cost?
She’d fulfilled her ambition, but she wasn’t happy at all. In fact, she didn’t even know what to do anymore.
Feini and Heiqi Long were both gone, their whereabouts unknown.
Why was she still at God and Demon Academy? To rot?
But who could know where Feini and Heiqi Long had run off to?
They’d been taken by the Pseudo-Demon to the Human Race, and were surely being used as research materials by now.
Who knew if they were even alive—perhaps they’d already been dissected in some laboratory.
Thinking this, Shijietang Simon’s heart hurt even more. An unknown rage suddenly welled up inside her.
She was overcome with regret and anger, feeling utterly miserable.
This was the real “Hell of Remorse” she’d heard about before, still waiting for her ahead. The aftermath would only grow stronger, until the negative emotions consumed her completely.
“Glug, glug, glug~ glug, glug, glug~
Shijietang Simon sat on the sofa in the 302 Dormitory lounge, drinking some strange beverage.
Her hair was a tangled mess, clothes disheveled, her expression hopeless beyond words.
Even her once-bright orange-red hair had lost its luster, turning dull and lifeless.
Xueyuedai walked by hugging a stack of documents.
Seeing Simon’s sorry state, she couldn’t help but gloat, even mocking her: “What’s with you now? Isn’t this all part of your plan? You made it to the throne, so why aren’t you managing anything?”
At any rate, the real black-handed overlord of the First-year High School Department was now Xueyuedai Emma.
With Shijietang Simon out of the picture, Xueyuedai had taken over the Tea Ceremony Society, and thus gained supreme authority.
“Do you remember the box you found? There was a name inside,” Shijietang said.
“I remember. What about it?” Xueyuedai asked.
“Phoenix the Parasitic Demon—that’s Feini Rose,” Shijietang replied.
“What’s so strange about that?” Xueyuedai shot back.
“It has another name: [Slayer Demon Sword]. Do you know what the Slayer Demon Sword is?” Shijietang said.
“The Slayer Demon Sword? You mean the legendary Demon-Slaying Sword?” Xueyuedai exclaimed.
“That’s an immortal great demon, with a lifespan as long as the Demon Domain itself. But Feini was such a weakling—she sure didn’t look like the Slayer Demon Sword, and you killed her with a single punch.”
“Killed her with a single punch… Wait… What did you just say?” Shijietang suddenly realized something.
“Feini looked like a total rookie—she didn’t seem like the legendary Slayer Demon Sword at all,” Xueyuedai repeated.
“The line before that.” Shijietang shot to her feet, grabbing Xueyuedai’s arm like a madwoman.
“The Demon-Slaying Sword is an immortal great demon, with a lifespan as long as the Demon Domain,” Xueyuedai replied.
“Yes! That’s it! Feini isn’t dead! She can’t be dead! She must still be alive somewhere!” Shijietang shouted, “I have to find her! I have to find her!”
“How are you going to find her? She was taken by the Pseudo-Demon to the Human Race, and with that brain of yours, you’d be exposed the second you set foot there. The only reason we weren’t exposed before was because Feini helped us—and there was even a Pseudo-Demon in our group,” Xueyuedai shook her head, pushing Shijietang away.
“Xiao Xue, I’m begging you, help me,” Shijietang pleaded.
“So you can beg too, Simon. But I have no reason to help you with your nonsense. I still have to manage the mess you left behind—if you want to talk, wait until I’m back tonight.”
Xueyuedai’s face was completely emotionless as she pulled her hand out of Shijietang’s grasp and turned to leave.
But in truth, after leaving the dorm, her expression grew serious as she walked, her mind carefully planning how to apply to the witch for permission to go out.
Because Xueyuedai also wanted to look for Feini—she didn’t want to just sit around handling paperwork, either.
“Feini… Feini… Feini… Where are you?”
Shijietang came to the little storage room of 302 Dormitory—the room that used to belong to Feini.
She collapsed to her knees on the floor, helpless as a worm, muttering strange words under her breath as if possessed.
