Ah! The dazzling sunlight! The beautiful sea! The glorious beach! The exciting vacation! Such a wonderful day should be spent happily in a place like this!
“This is how it was supposed to be. But why, why has it become like this?!”
Liyami stood on the deserted beach and shouted angrily. The dark clouds overhead seemed to echo her current mood, gradually closing in to cast another shadow over Liyami’s already terrible state of mind.
Seeing this, Liyami stamped her foot in a fit of helpless rage and glared furiously at the overcast sky.
The weather was perfectly fine this morning! How did it become like this now? This damn weather, changing so suddenly! It’s almost as if it’s trying to match the current atmosphere!
Of course, no matter how much Liyami glared or shouted in anger, it did nothing to change the situation. Neither the dark clouds overhead nor this deserted beach could be altered by a few of Liyami’s angry yells.
Therefore, no matter how bad the current situation was, Liyami had no choice but to accept it helplessly.
Why?! It’s supposed to be a wonderful summer vacation, so why has it become like this?!
Liyami looked at the beach with only herself on it and the increasingly thick clouds overhead, her expression one of wanting to cry but having no tears. Even the color of the sea had darkened a few shades, feeling increasingly ominous.
As for why it had become like this, we have to go back about ten minutes. At that time, Liyami had just finished talking with Lavinia and, after the other girl went out, Liyami quickly followed, leaving the villa, wanting to enjoy the atmosphere of a summer vacation in advance, without Kolin around.
But whether it was because Liyami and the others were just too unlucky, or because this world was simply targeting them so much, not long after Liyami left the villa and before she even reached the beach, the weather began to gradually darken.
By the time Liyami arrived at the beach, which was supposed to be one of the destinations for this summer vacation, the weather had completely clouded over, no longer possessing the sunny brightness of the morning, making Liyami doubt whether the bright sun from earlier had just been her imagination.
Perhaps thanks to this gloomy weather, even the normally bustling beach was completely empty, with only Liyami standing there dazedly. Fortunately, Liyami had only intended to come take a look in advance and hadn’t planned to start enjoying herself directly, so she hadn’t worn a swimsuit. If she had come wearing a swimsuit and then faced this situation, it would have been just too pitiful.
Although the current situation wasn’t much better. After all, Liyami wanted to scout out in advance to see if there were any fun places, perhaps for a date with Kolin. Now that things had turned out like this, all of Liyami’s plans were ruined.
Looking at this lifeless beach, Liyami felt that if she stayed here any longer, she would only look pathetic. So, after sighing with mixed feelings, Liyami prepared to leave here and return to the villa.
Originally, Liyami had planned to check out the beach and then go explore other interesting places, but the sky had become so bad. If there wasn’t even anyone on the beach, let alone other potentially interesting places. Even if Liyami ran over to check, it would be hard to enjoy any summer atmosphere.
Therefore, Liyami decided to call it a day for now and head back to the villa first. Even though today’s weather was terrible, surely tomorrow’s weather couldn’t be like this too, right? Anyway, today was only the first day; there was still plenty of time!
Thinking this, Liyami regained her spirits and prepared to return to the villa Lavinia had rented. Just then, Liyami suddenly thought of something: Since the weather was this bad, where had Lavinia and Eleanor run off to? She hadn’t seen either of them on the beach either. Were they still out exploring? In this kind of weather?
Liyami couldn’t help but admire their persistence, wanting to find a place to advance their relationship with Kolin even in such terrible weather. Honestly, if the target wasn’t Kolin, they probably would have succeeded long ago!
Liyami thought for a moment, then nodded. Right, since they’re working so hard, I shouldn’t slack off either! So what if the weather is bad? So what if I can’t enjoy the summer atmosphere? It doesn’t stop me from finding a suitable place for a date! It’s just advance scouting anyway; there’s always a way!
Thinking this, Liyami made a decision. She wouldn’t return to the villa first. The time was still very early anyway. It was better to go explore other places first and see if there were any suitable spots to go with Kolin!
So, Liyami intended to set off immediately, striving to not fall behind Lavinia and Eleanor. But just as she had taken a few steps, a voice suddenly came from the other side of the beach, calling out to Liyami.
Hearing this, Liyami turned around and saw the person who had called her—Lavinia, who had emerged from the other side of the beach.
Seeing this, Liyami couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow in surprise. It really was a case of thinking of someone and then they appear. What a coincidence.
Naturally, Lavinia had no idea what Liyami was thinking from so far away. She called out to Liyami while quickly running over to her.
Since Lavinia had called out to her, Liyami stopped, wanting to hear what the other girl had to say.
However, after running over, Lavinia didn’t speak to Liyami immediately. Instead, she first looked around. After confirming that there was no one else here besides Liyami, Lavinia sighed and said disappointedly.
“As expected, it’s the same here too? If that’s the case, how can this still be considered a summer vacation? I don’t want the entire vacation time to stay like this!”
Hearing Lavinia’s words, Liyami immediately became interested.
“The same? As expected? Where did you just go? Why are you saying that? Isn’t the reason there’s no one here now because the weather is too bad?”
Although Liyami also felt that bad weather alone shouldn’t result in absolutely no one being around, this was her first time in a place like this, so she wasn’t sure what the normal situation was like.
But after hearing Lavinia’s words, she also realized the current situation was indeed a bit strange. After all, the weather completely darkened only after she arrived at the beach. Before that, it hadn’t been this dark.
If that was the case, Liyami should have encountered some people returning from the beach on her way here, but she hadn’t met a single person. There was only one possibility: even before the weather had gotten this bad, there had been no one on the beach.
If that was true, then the current situation couldn’t be explained simply by the weather being too bad.
Soon, Lavinia’s words confirmed Liyami’s speculation.
“I just went to the beach on the other side. It was the same there too, not a single person. Also, on my way there and coming here, I didn’t encounter a single person out and about. Even considering the weather isn’t great, this is a bit too strange now. Something else must have happened to cause things to become like this!”
