Weibai once again stood at the entrance of the Adventurers’ Guild, hesitating whether to go in.

“I don’t mind.”

Weibai tried to explain, but Tao Lani cut him off.

“It’s not about what you think. What if? What if I don’t look after you properly and something goes wrong?”

Tao Lani’s red eyes stared intently into Weibai’s.

“Have you thought about how I’d feel if something happened to you?”

“If I didn’t think there was danger behind this, I wouldn’t be so insistent on you taking me along.”

Weibai said in a low voice.

To be honest, he didn’t want Tao Lani to be in any danger either.

If he went along, even if there was danger, more people would mean more strength, and they could look out for each other.

“Don’t be like this.”

Tao Lani’s tone turned serious.

“What if something happens to you? Have you thought about my feelings? You’re a true friend of mine.”
