Although the movements looked slow, the attack range was massive.
Qingshamu shouted loudly, but she still knew when she had to run.
She turned and sprinted out of the Dragon Claw’s reach.
Boom! The Dragon Claw struck the garden heavily, setting off a ripple of Dragon Breath shockwaves that spread outward.
No matter how fast Qingshamu ran, she could not outrun the shockwaves.
She could only turn and swing her sword to cut through them, though several parts of her body were instantly scorched.
The combat style of Jukkido Simon in her Original Form had changed drastically.
Her attack power and range had increased significantly; this was the true Red Dragon, the true Demon King.
That single strike from her paw shook her mansion so violently that the building became unstable, instantly turning into a hazardous structure.
It seemed no one would be able to live there from now on.
This also meant that Jukkido Simon had abandoned her reason. S
he did not even care about her home anymore, all for the sake of completely eliminating Qingshamu.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
The Great Red Dragon’s heavy claws struck again, sweeping across and tearing up the ground on the mountaintop.
She flung a massive amount of sand and stone toward Qingshamu, using everything available as a weapon.
Qingshamu deployed her Moonlight Magic Shield to block the flying debris, but the Dragon Claw howling through the air was the attack she truly needed to watch out for.
However, the Former Hero was bold due to her high skill. While flipping to dodge the Dragon Claw, she actually jumped onto it.
She gripped the gaps between the scales and climbed upward.
After all, the way to deal with a Giant Magic Beast was to climb onto its body.
Otherwise, one would be constantly hit by its area-of-effect attacks. Even ten more lives would not be enough to survive the attrition.
Qingshamu sprinted forward along the dragon’s arm.
Her sense of balance seemed to have surpassed that of a mortal, a power surely granted to her by the Demon Sword.
It had to be said that after the Unity of Man and Sword with Feini, Qingshamu’s physical constitution no longer seemed like that of a normal human.
Yet, only by allowing herself to fall into the path of a demon was she qualified to fight an immortal Demonic Beast like the Red Dragon.
Otherwise, she would have been crushed by the Red Dragon and turned into a speed bump without even knowing what happened.
But Qingshamu’s joy did not last long. When she reached the Red Dragon’s shoulder, she realized something was wrong.
Dragonflame began to pour from the Dragon Scales. Every scale felt like a red-hot iron, and the soles of her shoes were nearly melting.
Boom, boom! Boom! Boom, boom!
In the next instant, Dragon Breath erupted from the gaps between the scales.
The Red Dragon was instantly transformed into a flaming purgatory, incinerating the surrounding air.
‘Isn’t this the Hongshan Dragon’s signature move?’ Jukkido Simon had stolen the technique from someone else and modified it.
While the Hongshan Dragon’s Dragon Breath Explosion was a single-strike attack, the Red Dragon’s coverage could be maintained for a long time.
Simply put, it acted like a Flame Shield, protecting her at all times from small flies crawling onto her body.
Upon closer inspection, however, Qingshamu had kicked off and fled like a flea before the Dragon Breath could reach her, avoiding being swallowed by the Flame Shield.
Roar! In the next moment, a massive Dragon Claw burning with Dragon Breath lunged at her face.
Looking at the flames that blotted out the sky, Qingshamu, still suspended in mid-air, truly had nowhere to hide this time.
At the critical moment, Qingshamu’s Moonlight Mana erupted. She actually levitated in the air, stepping through the void.
Using some sort of anti-gravity evasion, she dodged the flaming Dragon Claw.
Finally, the flaming Dragon Claw slammed into the ground, leaving a large crater burning with Dragon Breath.
Stepping through the air, Qingshamu left a Moonlight Mana Rune under her feet with every stride.
She charged straight for the Red Dragon’s face, swinging the Demon Sword down toward the Dragon Pupil.
But Jukkido Simon simply closed her eye. Her thick, sturdy eyelid was incredibly hard, blocking Qingshamu’s treacherous blade.
Then, with a toss of her head, she sent Qingshamu flying.
The Dragon Pupil was likely the most obvious weakness of a dragon.
Other parts were covered in sturdy Dragon Scales that were impossible to penetrate. However, even the Dragon Pupil was protected by an incredibly tough eyelid.
One would have to stab the dragon’s eyeball before it could close to inflict a heavy injury, which was far too difficult.
Qingshamu crashed into the ground. Fortunately, she was protected by the Tentacles summoned by the Demon Sword and covered by her Moonlight Shield, so she did not take much damage.
But the opportunity was gone. The sneak attack had failed, and her Moonlight Stride flight magic had been exposed.
Jukkido Simon would not give her another chance to approach for a surprise attack.
Suddenly, a massive shadow loomed over Qingshamu’s head.
The Red Dragon had leaped high into the air and was crashing down heavily toward her position.
It was hard to imagine a dragon fighting this way, but it was effective. It scared Qingshamu into scrambling away as fast as she could.
Boom!
The Red Dragon sat down hard on the ground, causing the entire Dragon Spine Mountain to tremble.
The old mansion, in particular, could not withstand it this time. It completely collapsed under the vibration, turning into a pile of debris.
The one who felt the worst seeing this was, of course, the Dragon Mother.
Her old home, where she had lived for so many years, had been leveled by her unfilial daughter.
From now on, she would have no house to live in; she was going to become a homeless, lonely old dragon.
She sat slumped to the side, watching the fierce battle between the human and the dragon.
She knew this was no longer her era and had no intention of helping. This old lady was staying out of it.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
The Former Hero fell into a disadvantage once more in the Duel against the Demon King.
The Red Dragon did not use any fancy tricks; she just kept unleashing a continuous barrage of flaming paw strikes.
She seemed determined to squash Qingshamu through sheer repetition.
Qingshamu was drenched in sweat, retreating step by step, unable to counter-attack.
Even though she had inherited the Demon-Slaying Sword and gained new power, once Jukkido Simon revealed her Original Form, even the Demon-Slaying Sword was not very effective.
Even though Feini was constantly predicting the future and reading Jukkido Simon’s moves in advance, the Red Dragon’s claw strikes were massive area-of-effect attacks.
Even if you could predict them, what could you do? No matter how fast you were, you could not escape the shockwaves.
After all, Jukkido Simon was no ordinary Demonic Beast, nor was she an ordinary Ancient Dragon. She was a mutated, awakened Red Dragon, a rarity in 10,000 years.
The Dragon Breath burning on her body was the strongest defense and the most dangerous attack.
Qingshamu gripped the Demon Sword as she performed the Moonlight Stride, swaying left and right, yet she struggled to find an opening to attack.
The Red Dragon, with her awakened Dragon Breath, was a perfect Demonic Beast — flawless, capable of both offense and defense, able to deal explosive magical damage while possessing the strongest physique and endurance.
If this continued, Qingshamu and Feini would still meet a dead end. Sooner or later, they would be swallowed by the Red Dragon.
“Ouch!”
Blackie was also rolling around on the ground from the tremors until her forehead suddenly bumped into something.
It was something her Dragon Blade could not break?
Curious, she reached into the soil and happened to pull out an ordinary-looking Knight’s Sword.
