The first ray of morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, spilling into Liyakade’s room.
Liyakade’s long eyelashes fluttered slightly.
She rubbed her drowsy eyes, then sat up from the pink Princess Bed and stretched lazily.
Liyakade wore a pale white nightgown.
Her delicate little face looked relaxed and healthy, as if she’d enjoyed a blissful night’s sleep.
Well, that made sense.
After all, ever since Liyakade and the others discovered Darkness’s existence, they’d spent a long time worrying about the hidden threat lurking in the shadows, never knowing when or where Darkness might strike at them.
Even Alice had been so frightened by it that she couldn’t sleep well and came to Liyakade for comfort.
But now, Darkness had finally been found and dealt with.
Teacher Fianna had already reported it to the Academy, and an investigation into Darkness’s activities over the years had begun.
Unfortunately, Darkness had long since erased all information and evidence from the Sealed Chamber, so the Academy’s investigation would most likely come up empty.
With these incidents resolved, Liyakade and her friends could finally rest.
Though the threat within the Academy was gone, they’d grown used to living in the Palace.
And with Summer Vacation approaching, they hadn’t returned to their former dorms, choosing instead to remain in the Palace.
After all, Liyakade was to be the Prince’s Wife, and Alice was also Liyakade’s wife—so it was only natural for the two of them to live in the Palace.
As for what Darkness had been doing all these years, Liyakade didn’t particularly care.
Perhaps Darkness had accelerated Minotauros’s resurrection through Blood Sacrifice in some hidden corner, but judging by the timeline in the Original, the earliest Darkness and the Original could revive Minotauros was around Alice’s graduation.
Now, only a semester had passed, with more than two years until Alice’s graduation.
What’s more, Darkness had already been defeated, and Liyakade herself hadn’t performed any Blood Sacrifice like the Original.
The resurrection of Minotauros could only be delayed further.
Even if the timeline was advanced by two or three years, what did it matter?
Given Alice’s current growth rate, by graduation, she’d be able to face Minotauros head-on.
The Demon Race’s assault was nothing to fear.
“Ugh… It’s been so long since I’ve slept this well.”
Liyakade stretched and sighed contentedly.
She walked to the bathroom, washed up, and prepared to head downstairs for breakfast.
At that moment, a knocking sound echoed.
It seemed Field or Alice had come to find her again.
“Knock knock knock—”
“Who is it? Let me guess, is it Field bringing me breakfast again? Or maybe Alice?”
Liyakade opened the door, but her guess was wrong.
Standing in the hallway were not one, but two familiar figures—Alice and Field.
“Hehe, still guessed wrong.”
“Liyakade, you’re so silly. Can’t the two of us come together?”
They both looked quite well.
Of course, the poor condition from the previous days had mostly been because of Liyakade…
Still, Alice had been unable to sleep after learning she was Darkness’s primary target—not just because Liyakade drained them.
Field was still pushing a food cart, seemingly ready to enjoy breakfast with Liyakade and Alice.
“So, I was half right after all.”
Liyakade smiled brightly.
Alice followed Field into the room, and together they arranged the breakfast on the table.
The three of them sat down and began to enjoy the morning meal.
“Finally dealt with Darkness. Having a Demon Race member lurking in the Academy watching us was always so unsettling.”
Field said, cutting a piece of black pepper sausage with her fork as she chatted with Alice and Liyakade.
“But what exactly was hidden in that Sealed Chamber, that she would go so far as to erase all traces even in death? It bothers me.”
“Mm… These days really scared me. If not for Liyakade, we couldn’t have beaten her.”
Alice now seemed more relaxed than she had in days.
As she spoke, she scooped a spoonful of Corn Mushroom Soup, praising Liyakade without reservation.
“Liyakade, you’re so smart. You figured out Darkness was hiding among the Academy’s Principals, and later suspected the Sealed Chamber, too. If not for you, I don’t know what we would’ve done.”
“Ahaha… It was just luck. I only saw through her plan thanks to Alice’s Light Element help.”
Liyakade scratched her head awkwardly.
If she hadn’t known all the plot of the Original before transmigrating, she might not have understood Darkness’s plans either.
“So, Liyakade, what do you think Darkness was doing while hiding in the school? Did she leave any backup plans?”
Field was still uneasy about Darkness’s destruction of evidence in the Sealed Chamber, suspecting Darkness might have lurked there for a long time.
“Mm… She was probably gathering information about the Kingdom, preparing for Minotauros’s assault on the Royal Capital after his resurrection, and targeting Alice to prevent her growth.”
“As for backup plans… I don’t think there are any.”
Liyakade spoke her mind.
She didn’t believe Darkness left behind any other tricks.
In the Original, even when manipulating events from the shadows with the Original, Darkness never caused any especially great incidents—the Blood Sacrifice only happened after graduation at the earliest.
So Darkness shouldn’t have any other backup plans.
“If it’s as you think, Liyakade, that’s good…”
Field sighed softly.
She was still a little worried about Darkness and whether the other Four Heavenly Kings would take further action.
Although she trusted Liyakade, there was no evidence or indication to prove her theory.
“All right, since it’s over, let’s relax for now. The other Demon Race don’t have Shadow Magic and such. If they try to enter the Kingdom, they’ll be discovered immediately. There’s nothing to worry about.”
Liyakade smiled, soothing Field.
“Mm.”
Hearing Liyakade’s reassurance, Field relaxed and nodded.
“Liyakade…”
Alice suddenly set down her silver spoon and looked at Liyakade.
“What do you plan to do for the holidays?”
