The delinquent gyaru’s eyes rolled back on the spot as she collapsed limply like a slippery eel, fainting immediately.
“Ah? What just happened?”
“Qingshamu, we didn’t offend you, did we?”
The other delinquent gyarus were startled and quickly turned around.
But they realized it wasn’t Qingshamu who had struck, but the transfer student.
“Pfft!”
The transfer student’s attack was even more ruthless than Qingshamu’s, and she had no intention of talking.
Because the second strike came instantly—a fierce thrust that knocked another delinquent girl to the ground.
She spat out Yellow Gall Water, clutching her stomach and writhing in pain on the floor.
Seeing this, the other delinquent gyarus panicked and immediately turned to run.
But once again, unlike Qingshamu, the transfer student chased after them brandishing her wooden sword—utterly merciless.
“Stop.”
In the end, it was Bancho Jujiatang who couldn’t stand it anymore. She stepped forward and grabbed the transfer student’s wooden sword with one hand.
“You’re new here, so you probably don’t know the rules. Teaching them a lesson is enough; no need to make such a big deal out of it.”
She was trying to protect the reputation of Second Year Class 1—if people saw them brawling every day, it would be bad for their image.
But Bai Yuge · Rose just looked at Jujiatang with nothing but contempt and hatred, as if she wanted to rip her apart on the spot.
“?” Jujiatang was confused—when had she ever offended her?
“小白.” Feini called softly.
As soon as Bai Yuge heard her voice, she stopped and obediently turned back to sit at the rear, very compliant.
This only made Jujiatang more puzzled!
Why did this transfer student obey that shady little monster so easily?
Other students were confused as well. Many had tried to talk to Bai Yuge before but were ignored, yet that gloomy little monster’s mere words were enough to make her stop.
But now everyone knew this transfer student wasn’t someone to mess with. Unlike Jujiatang and Qingshamu, this girl seemed downright crazy.
After school…
Sure enough, the transfer student left together with Feini.
“This transfer student seems to be Feini’s number two.”
“Looks like she won’t be easy to bully anymore.”
“How does she manage to latch onto powerful allies so easily? And they’re all girls? Why not boys?”
“Without Qingshamu, Feini still finds other strong backs—so frustrating.”
“Looks like Qingshamu is useless after all.”
The delinquent gyarus who had returned from the Medical Room whispered among themselves.
They were really persistent. Even after getting beaten, they never learned their lesson.
They still schemed on how to bully Feini and mocked Qingshamu behind her back.
Truly reckless and bound to bring about their own downfall.
As long as they weren’t beaten to death, they’d keep tempting fate.
After all, once hurt, they’d just lie down in the Medical Room and come back fully healed.
Qingshamu clenched her fists in anger upon hearing their words, slammed the desk, and stood up abruptly, shocking everyone.
But she only turned and left the classroom.
She was going to find Feini and Bai Yuge for answers.
After all, that child was very likely hers…
However, this time, Qingshamu’s Detection Ability failed to work.
She searched the entire lunch break but couldn’t find Feini or Bai Yuge. It used to be easy to tail Feini without effort.
“That girl really is a stubborn ghost.”
Feini and Bai Yuge hadn’t left the School Building; as soon as class ended, they hid on the Rooftop, blending into the shadows beneath the dim lights.
Leaning against the railing, Feini gazed out, watching Qingshamu scuttle around campus like a flea in search of her, looking like a pervert.
Feini and Bai Yuge didn’t need to eat in the Dining Hall since they brought their own breakfast in a bamboo basket containing four Gemstone Hamburgers.
The mother and daughter quietly ate together on the Rooftop.
“Mother, here.” Bai Yuge respectfully offered two Gemstone Hamburgers to Feini.
“One is enough for me.” Feini smiled kindly.
She didn’t even need to return to the Faceless Witch’s Small Wooden House. After lunch, Feini lay down on a long bench on the Rooftop to nap, no longer needing to work part-time.
Bai Yuge was full of energy, tightly gripping her wooden sword as she practiced sword techniques around them, simultaneously protecting her mother’s nap—a truly good child.
—————
The next day at lunch break.
The mother and daughter followed their usual routine, hiding out on the Rooftop.
“Click~” The door opened, and a familiar figure appeared.
But this time, Qingshamu wasn’t fooled. After searching the entire High School Division yesterday without success, she finally figured out where they were hiding.
Bai Yuge immediately went on high alert, watching Qingshamu’s every move, forbidding her from approaching Feini.
Qingshamu’s expression towards Bai Yuge was complicated—half gentle, half confused—unsure how to face her.
“Even more relentless than a debt collector.” Feini sighed, knowing she couldn’t avoid the trouble. “Feini, I have something to ask you. Today, you have to give me a straight answer.” Qingshamu called out.
“Let her come over.” Feini sat up from the bench.
Only then did Bai Yuge step aside and let Qingshamu approach Feini.
“What do you want to say?” Feini asked.
“Is she my child?” Qingshamu finally mustered the courage to ask.
“Ah?” Feini feigned ignorance, pretending not to understand.
Her reaction embarrassed Qingshamu. She sounded like she was talking nonsense—suddenly claiming someone was her child.
If she hadn’t known better, she might have thought Qingshamu was some kind of kidnapper.
“You stabbed me in the chest that day and absorbed my blood. She must be a hybrid Weapon Demon born from the fusion of your blood and power. I can sense my own blood flowing within her.”
There was no turning back now—Qingshamu had to reveal her identity.
When she said this, the atmosphere seemed to darken a few shades.
Alright, the truth about this girl’s identity could finally be unveiled—she was the contemporary Hero of the Thirty-Fourth Generation, the wielder of the Sword of the Bright Moon.
And Bai Yuge was the hybrid Weapon Demon nurtured from the Hero’s Blood she had absorbed.
So Qingshamu’s analysis was correct, but what difference did that make?
“So… are you here to kill us?” Feini asked.
“What are you talking about?” Qingshamu asked back, shocked.
“The honorable Hero would never accept a half-blood abomination. You must have come to eliminate the sin you inadvertently left behind,” Feini whispered resolutely. “But I will fight with everything I have to protect my child. If you want to kill her, you’ll have to step over my corpse first.”
After saying that, she stood and positioned herself in front of Bai Yuge.
Everyone was bewildered, even her own daughter looked confused.
“Don’t you dare hurt my mother.” Bai Yuge quickly pulled her mother’s frail hand. With her fighting skills, Feini was no match as a shield.
“I never intended to harm you.” Qingshamu explained.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, you didn’t intend to hurt me? I almost forgot—you’ve already broken me,” Feini scoffed wildly, pulling down her collar and tearing open her injured bandages, revealing the sword scars left on her skin.
Then she pointed to the Sword Curse Collar around her neck.
“This…” Qingshamu looked slightly uneasy.
