Feini’s room was the first one on the second floor. She took out her key, unlocked the door, and stepped inside, immediately letting out a deep breath before collapsing against the doorframe.
Her dorm mates now included a Mutant Red Dragon and two Golden Fang Beasts—none of whom were people she could afford to offend. One wrong word, and she’d be beaten to death.
And according to the unfolding plot, this was only the beginning.
Feini pressed herself against the door, eavesdropping in the shadows. Occasionally, she heard footsteps ascending the stairs. It seemed all her dorm mates had gathered.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!” Suddenly, there was a sharp knock on the door.
Startled, Feini straightened up and forced herself to open the door just a crack to peek out.
“Hello, classmate. Everyone in the dorm is here, but something’s come up. We need to have a chat,” said Shijietang Simon, standing outside, maintaining a respectful distance, wearing a gentle smile.
“Do I really have to go?” Feini asked.
“Everyone’s waiting for you. You’re the last one,” Simon replied, feigning kindness but with a hint of menace in her tone.
“I understand,” Feini sighed. She knew trouble couldn’t be avoided. This was the real test—what had happened before was just an appetizer.
She opened the door and stepped out. Simon turned and walked ahead, with Feini following behind down the stairs.
“Classmate, may I ask your name?” Simon inquired.
“Feini Rose,” Feini answered.
“A very pretty name,” Simon said, sensing nothing unusual.
The two reached the first-floor lobby. A long sofa and two small sofas were already filled with people.
Aside from the Golden Fang Beast sisters she already knew from before, there were two unfamiliar girls.
Feini’s heart skipped a beat when she caught sight of one of them.
It was a pink-haired girl with slitted eyes, crossing her long, slender legs. She wore a half-smile, but the contempt on her face was obvious—no doubt she was trouble.
The other was a tall, white-haired girl, sitting coldly on the side, exuding a “strangers keep out” chill. Her sharp eyes scrutinized Feini.
That was strange…
Feini didn’t recognize the white-haired girl.
The pink-haired girl, however, was a familiar figure from the game—one of the romanceable characters named Xueyuedai Emma.
Just from her expression, it was clear she was the sly strategist type of intelligent girl—and indeed, her true origin was both mysterious and terrifying, barely second only to the Mutant Red Dragon.
In the original storyline, Emma was the right-hand to Shijietang Simon, ranking higher than the Golden Fang Beast sisters, who were more like Simon’s subordinate lackeys.
But in the original story, there was no white-haired girl in the 302 Dormitory.
Where did this new character come from?
Although, come to think of it, Feini herself was also a new character.
“Everyone’s here. Classmates, we have a problem,” Simon began without waiting for others to speak. “I’m not sure if it’s a mistake by the school, but we have six students assigned to 302 Dormitory and only five rooms. It looks like we need to talk to the school about how to resolve this.”
“Simon, I have something to say,” Emma raised her hand, a mischievous smile on her face.
“Please go ahead, Emma,” Simon responded, raising her hand in acknowledgment.
“There’s a hidden rule in the God and Demon Academy. Actually, we can accommodate six people here. There’s a storage room on the third floor that can be used as a bedroom,” Emma quietly explained.
“Why is that?” Simon asked, curious.
“It’s simple. The students decide among themselves who’s the King and the Little King. The weakest one sleeps in the storage room,” Emma said with a smile.
Everyone’s eyes turned to Feini.
“I understand what everyone means,” Feini said quietly.
She resigned herself to packing up and giving up the luxurious single room, moving to sleep in the storage room on the third floor.
“This isn’t right! This is so heartless! How can we bully a classmate like this? I will raise this with the school authorities. Feini, hold on. I will make things right for you,” Simon protested, still saying the right things, but only with words—no action followed.
Feini didn’t have much luggage—just a pack of jerky and a fishing rod.
“What’s this? I smell something delicious! Pregnant lady, hand it over!”
But just a few steps outside, her snacks were snatched by Lianjian, who had followed her, taking them back to share with her sister.
Feini had no choice but to move into the tiny storage room on the third floor, utterly empty-handed.
The bed inside the storage room was exactly like the plank bed she’d slept on at the Lighthouse. Lying down, she felt her bones creak—it was uncomfortable.
But it didn’t matter. The luxurious single room was too unfamiliar, too vast, and she didn’t have any belongings anyway.
Now, this cramped storage room somehow made her feel more at ease.
Maybe she was just born to be a scapegoat?
Feini comforted herself this way.
She touched her swollen belly, feeling exhausted. Before long, she fell asleep.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
But her sleep was short-lived. There was a rough knock at the door again.
“Pregnant lady, stop sleeping! It’s time to report to class! We’re leaving without you!” Lianjian’s grating voice came from outside.
Feini struggled to get up and peeked through the storage room’s window to see her dorm mates huddled together, already leaving—showing no intention to wait for her.
The five of them walking side by side looked like a bright, beautiful sight.
She, however, was like a madwoman lurking in the dark corner, ruining the scenery.
Feini hung her Student ID around her neck, left the villa dormitory, and set off alone toward the teaching building to check her class assignment.
Though she didn’t really need to look—she already knew she’d be placed in the same class as the protagonist.
God-Demon High School Division Year One Class Two.
Her seat was in the very last row, in the Junk Corner.
The protagonist’s seat in the front, of course, belonged to Shijietang Simon.
Simon had arrived early, already chatting with other students, naturally becoming the center of attention.
Feini was like a piece of bad luck, breaking the classroom’s harmonious atmosphere.
Suddenly, the dark, pregnant girl entered, and the once lively room’s energy dropped a few degrees.
She said nothing, lowering her head as she took her seat in the Junk Corner, minimizing her presence and allowing the atmosphere to recover somewhat.
Simon seemed not to notice her at all, ignoring Feini completely, continuing to chat with others. Cheerful and lively, she was already forming her own clique.
Feini was completely different—like a rat in a gutter. No one wanted to approach her, nor did anyone initiate conversation.
That was fine. She enjoyed the peace.
She had always been a withdrawn child, terrified of people talking to her.
If she could just live quietly like this, without entangling herself with these big players, she’d be content to remain invisible forever.
After all, her mental age was nowhere near that of a typical sixteen-year-old girl.
