No one could recognize that these two were Sharlo Fogmoon and Bella Ennis.
It was common for noble youths to get carried away like this. Never mind kissing in a corner; some even engaged in “field combat” out in the courtyard.
Everyone had long since grown accustomed to such sights.
“What method do you plan on using to kill me today?” Sharlo whispered, breathing against Bella’s earlobe.
Bella’s delicate body trembled. “Master… how would I still dare to make a move against you? I’ll just report it as a formality—say the assassination failed… Besides, my sword is still lying in your house.”
Sharlo had indeed confiscated all of Bella’s belongings that day, including a dark purple longsword. It was Bella’s primary weapon.
“Is that sword very valuable? Can’t you kill me without it?”
“Of course. It’s made from high-grade Darkflame Demon Dragon crystal. That sword was forged from a dragon’s magic organ. I can only display my full strength with it,” Bella explained.
“In that case, that sword belongs to me now. I happen to be lacking a handy weapon.”
“…”
Bella was speechless. She had thought Sharlo would show some kindness and return the sword to her.
She asked in confusion, “Aren’t you a Mage? You don’t even have battle qi, so what do you want a sword for?”
Sharlo pressed his knee upward, pinning it against Bella’s lower abdomen. He applied a slight bit of pressure.
“Ah…!” Bella let out another soft moan. ‘What is this wicked man planning now?’
She quickly pulled a hand free and placed it between her belly and Sharlo’s knee, attempting to cushion the pressure.
Sharlo hated being questioned the most. “Don’t ask too many questions. Just think of me as the type of Battle Mage who pretends to chant spells from a grimoire but then rushes forward to hack people to death with a sword.”
“A Battle Mage?” Bella had never even heard the term before.
However, what Sharlo did next made it nearly impossible for her to think.
His knee gradually increased the pressure, causing Bella to feel a warm current within her body.
“Don’t… Let me tell you first, there are two fourth-tier mages waiting outside to kill you. They are existences close to being Transcendents! Can you even escape? How do you still have the heart to do this… Your best bet right now is to find Princess Clecia. Stay by her side and have her escort you out!”
“You actually think I’m going to die?” Sharlo laughed with interest. “But I appreciate the concern.”
“Isn’t it only natural for me to care for my Master?”
Normally, Bella would have been stubborn, but Sharlo seemed to be under a lot of pressure today. There was no need to seek out trouble for herself.
That kind of flirtatious resistance was better saved for when they were safe.
“There’s no need to worry. Your Master has his own ways of making their plans fail.”
He acted wickedly again. For some reason, he just wanted to bully Bella.
Bella continued to moan, looking as though she were about to burst into tears. “Please, don’t…”
“What is it now?” Sharlo was becoming a bit impatient. Logically, shouldn’t Bella immediately step into her role and start roleplaying with him?
Bella used her free hand to dab at the corners of her eyes, pretending to wipe away tears.
“It’s not that Bella is unwilling to satisfy Master, but this place is where I’ll carry Master’s children in the future. What if you damage it…”
Bella knew what kind of words Sharlo liked, so she catered to him. After all, this was her only advantage… She also wanted Sharlo to give her more attention.
Hearing those words and seeing Bella’s dew-drenched, delicate appearance, it was difficult for Sharlo to maintain his reason as a man.
Just as Sharlo was about to use the Veil of Mist to spice things up, Eiffel’s voice drifted over. ‘The Holy Maiden is in the banquet hall. Do not use Mist God magic recklessly.’
Seeing Sharlo daze for a moment, Bella thought he had been stunned by her words.
“Come on. Let’s go out and look at the stars for a bit.”
