“Teacher! I have a fracture!”
In the middle of October, the temperature remained in the low 30 degrees.
It was a sweltering day where even leaving an air-conditioned room felt stifling, and one would be drenched in sweat within minutes.
However, it was time for Physical Education class…
Bai Yao had never missed his sickly high school Physical Education Teacher as much as he did now.
“Fine, go rest then. Class Monitor, come take attendance, lead the team for two laps, and then it’s free time.”
The Physical Education Teacher finished speaking and walked to the side.
Chen Zhilong stepped forward and took the attendance sheet and grade book from the teacher.
He was a generous and bold person who got along well with everyone in the class.
During the class committee elections just a few days after the start of the semester, he had won the title of Class Monitor by an overwhelming margin.
Scanning the students standing in three sparse rows, Chen Zhilong didn’t even need to call out names.
He knew at a glance who was skipping… then he checked every box. Everyone was present!
‘Running again?’
‘If I accidentally stay out for more than thirty minutes, my body will change again.’
Bai Yao stood on the edge of the formation with a blank expression.
He was visibly more alert than he had been yesterday, keeping his back slightly hunched as he pretended to look down at his phone.
He was terrified that his increasingly upright chest and more alluring figure would attract the attention of his classmates.
Even though he still didn’t know what was so alluring about it, and even though he knew it was unlikely his classmates would pay special attention to his chest size.
“Bai Yao, want to head back to the dorm and enjoy the AC later?”
Qiu Ye approached him, seemingly having forgotten last night’s awkwardness.
While Bai Yao still remembered it, they were both men, after all.
There shouldn’t be anything embarrassing about being seen while changing clothes.
Yet, that lingering feeling of shy embarrassment wouldn’t fade.
It was accompanied by a sense of guilt and low self-esteem, a belief that a body that was becoming too feminine shouldn’t be seen by others and should instead be hidden away.
“I think I’ll pass…”
Bai Yao looked up at the Physical Education Teacher.
Seeing that the teacher wasn’t paying attention, he didn’t even wait for the warm-up run.
He turned around and headed toward the school shop.
Qiu Ye followed along, trailing behind him at a leisurely pace.
“Then how about playing ball? What can you play? Ping-pong? Badminton? Oh, I have a fracture, better not do those.”
“Whoa! A beauty!”
Bai Yao immediately turned to look and indeed saw a figure wearing denim shorts, revealing a pair of long, pale legs.
At first glance, the view was filled with dazzling whiteness.
He was actually a bit of a leg man; when he looked at girls, he looked at their legs first.
Though his own legs were thin, long, and quite nice to look at, they lacked the soft, graceful curves of a girl… oh, wait, he was gradually gaining those too.
“Those legs are so long.”
“Jealous?”
How could Bai Yao possibly be jealous of a girl’s legs?
He didn’t even bother responding to Qiu Ye.
He turned into the shop and bought a bottle of chilled mineral water, buying one for Qiu Ye as well.
After opening the water and handing it over, he opened his own bottle and took a long drink, letting out a comfortable sigh.
“Thanks.”
Qiu Ye’s thick-skinned attitude diluted Bai Yao’s embarrassment.
But he was still a little concerned.
Standing on the steps in front of the shop, he watched his classmates running laps on the distant playground, his voice as quiet as a mosquito’s buzz.
“Qiu Ye… am I being a bit too… you know?”
Qiu Ye almost didn’t hear him and leaned in closer.
“Too what? Which part?”
“Just…”
Bai Yao looked down at his own chest.
He had seen a simple method for measuring chest size online.
He seemed to be approaching an A-cup now—maybe an A-minus?
There was something there, but not much.
If they were small steamed buns before, they were at least small meat buns now.
A normal girl should be wearing a bra by this point, but he was a man.
Qiu Ye followed Bai Yao’s gaze.
Honestly, he couldn’t see much of a difference… maybe they were a bit more perky?
Since they were together every day, Bai Yao felt this tiny change was very obvious, but in reality, no one would notice at all.
“It’s fine. Small ones are cute too, and they save on fabric.”
Bai Yao subconsciously straightened his posture instead of hunching over to hide.
“Yeah, they do look a bit bigger like that. Have you considered using nipple covers?”
With his chest pushed out, that slight protrusion became much more apparent, and the tips were quite noticeable.
“No…”
Bai Yao quickly hunched his back again, pulling his shoulders inward.
“I think you should consider going to the hospital for a check-up instead of worrying about how your chest is growing.”
As soon as he said that, Bai Yao’s resentful gaze locked onto Qiu Ye’s face.
‘You think I don’t want to go to the hospital? Who was the one who caused this?’
Qiu Ye blinked, finally remembering that all of Bai Yao’s money had been spent on his medical bills.
He gave a sheepish laugh.
“I’ll definitely pay you back once I get my allowance next month. I’ll go with you to the hospital for a check-up then.”
“Yeah…”
“Seriously though, aren’t you going to tell your family? What if it’s some kind of illness?”
Qiu Ye rubbed his chin, looking somewhat expectant.
“Maybe you’re actually a girl?”
“Mine is bigger than yours.”
“Strip and let me see?”
“I usually wrap mine around my waist.”
“I don’t believe you. How could you be bigger than me?”
This was a matter of a man’s dignity, so Qiu Ye retorted without hesitation.
“Didn’t you see it when I was showering last night? It’s a giant dragon, alright? I—”
He noticed a faint pink hue rising on Bai Yao’s face.
Bai Yao lowered his head to stare at the tips of his shoes, his eyes flickering and darting away.
‘You’re a man! What is there to be shy about?’
Qiu Ye’s words cut off abruptly.
He scratched the back of his head awkwardly, feeling a strange sense of shame and discomfort as if he were sexually harassing a girl.
It made him feel like some kind of pervert.
But the way Bai Yao looked when he was blushing and acting shy was also quite pretty…
Qiu Ye dropped his playful, childish act and straightened his expression.
“Seriously, how about we go to the hospital to register and take a look first? It’s not expensive if we don’t do tests. If you need tests, I can try to borrow some money.”
‘This is a system issue, okay? Is a doctor even capable of fixing a system bug?’
‘My problem is the **[Serious Illness]** that will lead to me dropping out of school in six months.’
But as so much time passed, Bai Yao didn’t seem to care as much about the physical exam anymore.
After all, regardless of whether the pervert the system mentioned was really his future self or not, the system was certainly treating him like a woman, guiding him toward a happy marriage, good health, and a graceful figure…
As for the **[Serious Illness]** itself, he wasn’t that concerned about it anymore.
When a guy like Qiu Ye got serious, his fierce face became a bit intimidating, making Bai Yao feel weak and afraid to raise an objection.
But seeing that slightly furrowed brow, Qiu Ye knew he was reluctant.
“I happen to be going for a follow-up on Friday. You should go and register too.”
Qiu Ye made the decision for him.
“Oh,” Bai Yao replied, looking down and picking at his fingernails. “I don’t want to go.”
“You have to go… this is your own body we’re talking about, okay?”
Qiu Ye roughly rubbed Bai Yao’s head.
“Do I have to worry about everything for you?”
“I wonder who it was that had a fracture and kept saying it was nothing.”
“I was drunk then.”
Bai Yao brushed off the hand Qiu Ye had placed on his head.
‘He has no sense of personal space! It’s so annoying!’
Before, Qiu Ye had said not to force it!
Now he was making decisions for him again, forcing him to see a doctor…
Although it was related to his health, he could still understand Qiu Ye’s assertiveness.
