Kit City was the nearest city to this Labyrinth and also where Colin and Liyami had resolved their previous high-risk incident.
That’s right, the reason Colin and Liyami hadn’t joined the Saintess and the others was because they were dealing with another dangerous situation beforehand.
And just after they finished that high-risk case, they received a communication spell from Sivni, the mage in their squad.
The Demonkin Remnants they were pursuing had left behind a Labyrinth of unknown purpose while escaping.
Since the Saintess and the others needed to continue chasing that Demonkin Remnant, they had to send Colin and company ahead to check the Labyrinth, just in case something unexpected happened.
So they hurried to the Labyrinth’s entrance.
After that, things ended up like they are now.
The Labyrinth issue was resolved, everything in the laboratory was gone, and only Liyami had transformed into Liyami (the female).
Truly something to celebrate…
Celebrate my foot!
It’s all Sivni’s fault.
If they had caught that Demonkin Remnant sooner, Colin and I wouldn’t have had to go into that cursed Labyrinth, and none of the subsequent mess would’ve happened!
Liyami cursed the Saintess and her two companions silently in her heart.
But no matter how much she scolded, it wouldn’t change what had already happened.
Now, she could only hope that the Saintess and the others would catch that Demonkin Remnant quickly and come back to help her deal with this damned magic!
For now, Colin and Liyami planned to return to the city and wait for the Saintess and the others.
However, Liyami originally thought Colin would lock her up in the city’s prison.
But to her surprise, Colin took her straight home!
To be exact, it wasn’t really Colin’s home.
Colin had never actually lived there.
That villa was just one of the rewards the kingdom gave him in gratitude for his contributions.
“But no matter what, that’s not a good enough reason for him to bring me here. Even when I was male before, Colin never invited me to his place!”
Liyami thought.
Looking at the rather luxurious villa before her, Liyami’s eyes twitched nervously.
She just had a bad feeling that something unpleasant was about to happen.
After entering the villa, Colin casually said to Liyami, “Sit wherever you want. Just treat this as your own home.”
Then he plopped down on the sofa.
Hearing Colin’s words, Liyami finally couldn’t hold back and asked, “So, Colin, why did you bring a fragile girl like me to your own home?”
At Liyami’s tone, Colin was first taken aback, then realized: Yeah, why did I bring her here?
But Colin probably already had an inkling.
When they were in the Labyrinth earlier, he more or less assumed Liyami was now really Liyami.
Plus, seeing her current body that instinctively stirred his protective instincts, Colin didn’t want her to be mistreated.
So he brought her back to his residence in Kit City.
Of course, he couldn’t just tell Liyami the truth.
So Colin’s mind quickly came up with another explanation.
“First of all, if you really are Liyami, I definitely wouldn’t let my brother rot in jail. And if you’re not, then in this city, there’s no guardian stronger than me,” Colin explained smoothly, calm and unhurried.
Listening to Colin’s explanation and seeing his composed expression, Liyami felt there was some truth in what he said.
Seeing that Liyami didn’t respond further, Colin stood up and said, “Well then, you’ve been on the road so long—you must be thirsty. I’ll make you some tea.”
Saying that, Colin went off to find the tea leaves and teaware.
Watching Colin go to the kitchen to brew tea, Liyami suddenly felt a faint warmth spreading in her lower abdomen.
Curious, she gently lifted the clothes covering her stomach—and there she saw it: a Silver Mark carved right there?!
Why was there a Silver Mark?!
Liyami was stunned.
She clearly remembered that before transforming into a woman, she didn’t have this.
So this Silver Mark must have been caused by that Magic Circle?!
Damn cursed Magic Circle!!!
Liyami stared at the Silver Mark on her belly, feeling like crying but unable to shed tears.
Yet before she could get too upset, a familiar magical power radiated from the Silver Mark, and suddenly a piece of information appeared in her mind: May 29th, 21:00, Kit City outskirts cemetery.
Feeling the familiar magic from the Silver Mark and the sudden message in her head, Liyami was truly bewildered.
As far as she knew, the Silver Mark’s purpose was to attract the opposite sex.
It was a special weapon of the succubi, allowing them to absorb energy from their target after mating, making the target completely infatuated with the Silver Mark’s owner.
A means of feeding.
But the Silver Mark would never transmit messages—after all, all succubi were rivals; none would want to let another succubus feed off their prey.
Unless…the sender of this message was an exceptionally magnanimous succubus, sincerely inviting others to join her in a delightful “silver party.”
“No, no, no. That can’t be right!”
Liyami immediately stopped herself from entertaining this terrible thought.
Then she suddenly recalled why this magical power felt so familiar.
After thinking hard, she exclaimed in disbelief, “Could it be that you’re not a Silver Mark?! You’re the Assassin’s Mark of the Shadow Sect?!!”
That had to be it.
That familiar magic could only be the Assassin’s Mark of the Shadow Sect.
After checking her arm, Liyami was more and more convinced.
But it was originally carved on my arm, so why did it move to my lower abdomen?
And why did it turn into a Silver Mark’s shape?
Liyami pondered before settling on the most likely culprit.
“That damned Magic Circle!”
Liyami shouted out her anger once more.
“What’s wrong with that Magic Circle?”
Colin came back carrying a cup of black tea.
Of course, Liyami wouldn’t tell Colin about the Silver Mark matter, as it was still just her own guess.
What if Colin didn’t believe her?
What if Colin thought she was a deceitful high-level succubus…
And, of course, it was simply too embarrassing for Liyami to say it out loud to her once close brother.
“Nothing, nothing. Let’s just have some tea,” Liyami picked up a cup of black tea and took a sip.
“Hmm~ your tea brewing skills aren’t bad,” Liyami complimented Colin.
“Heh, just practice makes perfect. I’m glad you like it,” Colin smiled and sat down beside her.
Just as Liyami relaxed and sipped her tea, the Silver Mark on her lower abdomen suddenly lit up, and she felt an intense heat spreading there.
“Hm?!”
Startled by the sudden change, she fumbled and spilled some tea onto her clothes.
“Are you okay? How did you spill it? Here, there’s a towel…”
Seeing Liyami spill her tea, Colin froze for a moment before quickly grabbing a towel to wipe her clothes.
But before he could get close, Liyami hurriedly covered her belly with one hand and stopped his other hand with the other.
“I’m fine, really. Don’t look down there!”
Liyami said in a panic.
“Don’t look down? What’s going on down there?”
Colin looked down with curiosity and saw through the gaps between Liyami’s fingers a pinkish glow and some strange markings.
That pink glow and those markings looked like…the Silver Mark?!
