Vellandelle stood up and left, leaving behind only a faint silhouette for Veronie.
The last class of the day had arrived—Dessert Course with Rosasys.
Very few students took this class; the classroom was barely half full.
Finally, Rosasys got her wish to attend class with Vellandelle.
“Big sister, we’re finally together!”
Rosasys excitedly interlaced her fingers with Vellandelle’s.
Vellandelle smiled gently, feeling much better attending class alongside someone familiar.
“Yes.”
As soon as they entered the classroom, the students of the Dessert Course were already chatting animatedly.
All of them were young girls, their once luxurious noble attire replaced by simple, modest clothes.
Clearly, they all came from rural or commoner families. Compared to noble children, they were much more enthusiastic about the class.
Even strangers became friends here simply because they had chosen the same course in the same place.
“Everyone is so friendly!”
Rosasys looked surprised to see everyone chatting so warmly.
It was obvious that this lively atmosphere hadn’t appeared in their previous classes.
“Yes, there’s an immediate sense of camaraderie among classmates.”
Since it was Rosasys’s first time at school, she naturally didn’t understand exactly what Vellandelle meant by the “closeness” of classmates, but judging by everyone’s reactions, she could roughly guess.
Only when Vellandelle approached the group did the girls notice her presence.
Many lifted their heads expectantly, eager to see the newcomer.
“Hello.”
Vellandelle waved and smiled at the girls who looked her way.
Instantly, their eyes widened.
“Classmate, you’re so beautiful!”
A girl sitting in the front instinctively said, prompting laughter from many behind her.
“Why are you all laughing? This classmate really is beautiful.”
“Hey, what’s your name, sister?”
“Vellandelle Mellow.”
Vellandelle simply smiled lightly, her noble bearing and graceful movements making her stand out even among these girls.
Unconsciously, her presence made these commoner girls feel a bit inferior.
“Miss, are you nobility?”
One girl couldn’t help but ask. Vellandelle paused, then seemed to realize something.
“No, not really. I’ve only worked part-time and come into contact with noble young ladies and gentlemen.”
“I see.”
“Mellow classmate, you really have such poise. Could you share how you maintain yourself…?”
“……”
Seeing how popular Vellandelle was, Rosasys felt genuinely happy for her sister.
“And this classmate?”
Soon, their attention shifted to Rosasys. Her pink hair and sweet face would also be very popular if not for Vellandelle drawing all the attention.
“Rosasys Pamé.”
“Ohhh, you’re the new First Place!”
As soon as Rosasys spoke, cheers erupted. No one had mentioned this in a while—Vellandelle had almost forgotten it.
If people here in this small Dessert Course knew Rosasys’s ranking, surely others in other courses would know even more.
Thinking this, Vellandelle quickly asked.
“Sis, no one’s been bullying you in class, right?”
Rosasys, still chatting with classmates, earnestly explained that all her achievements weren’t hers but were thanks to the legendary Banshee Princess favoring her.
The discussion about the Banshee Princess immediately sparked a debate among them.
“Ah, what? Sister, are you asking if anyone’s been bullying me?”
Rosasys felt warmth in her heart and hurriedly replied to her sister.
“Of course not! They’re all careful because of you, scared of your reputation, so they don’t dare mess with me!”
“That’s good.”
Vellandelle breathed a sigh of relief, declined the classmates’ offers of help, and took a seat.
Classmates seated nearby started chatting with them: “Pamé, since you say that, have you actually seen the Banshee Princess with your own eyes? What does she really look like?”
“Well, um, she was wearing a veil, so I’m not exactly sure. The Banshee Princess is truly mysterious and beautiful; if you catch a glimpse, you’ll never forget her.”
Rosasys spoke, glancing deliberately at Vellandelle, who rested her chin on her hand with a smile.
She wasn’t particularly interested in these rumors.
As the group chatted about their impressions of the legendary Banshee Princess, a quiet girl with long black hair sitting not far away suddenly spoke: “I don’t know why, but I always feel that Miss Mellow’s aura resembles that of the rumored Banshee Princess.”
“Ahem, ahem…”
Vellandelle couldn’t help but clear her throat twice.
What did this have to do with her? She turned her gaze toward the girl.
Radiating a cool and stunning aura, the girl was unfortunate to be somewhat clueless.
Her voice was soft, but just loud enough for Vellandelle to hear.
She recognized her—an NPC quite popular among players: Lailin Belarand, known in the game for her high emotional intelligence and wisdom.
How high? Let’s just say she had served as Seleste’s countless times love advisor and battle commander before wisely retreating from the scene.
Perhaps because Lailin was flat-chested while all the other female leads were quite well-endowed, she had gained the nickname, “Seleste’s harem has no flat-chested members.”
“Just joking, just joking.”
Noticing Vellandelle’s gaze, Lailin shrugged with an innocent expression.
“I’m not blaming you for your reaction, just curious why you think that way?”
Vellandelle’s jaw dropped slightly, and Rosasys stared in shock.
She knew Vellandelle’s identity well, yet this woman immediately sensed something so quickly—it was terrifying!
“Haha, it’s nothing. I once caught a distant glimpse of the Banshee Princess, and she just reminded me so much of Mellow.”
Lailin said innocently.
Vellandelle instantly relaxed and had a thought—she was lying!
Exactly—if even Seleste couldn’t see through the Banshee’s veil, how could little Lailin figure it out?
The only explanation was that Lailin was lying.
Why would Lailin lie about this? Did she have some purpose with Vellandelle?
With that thought, Vellandelle patted Rosasys, signaling her to relax.
Lailin withdrew her gaze calmly.
She probably could confirm that Vellandelle had at least some connection with the Banshee Princess.
“These two seem kind of clueless; this task isn’t as difficult as I imagined.”
Lailin murmured.
Vellandelle definitely hadn’t expected that in this life Seleste would again be tangled up with Lailin—but this time not as a strategist, just having Lailin investigate Vellandelle’s relationship with the Banshee Princess.
