“Shui Hua, what are you up to?”
Xing Li drawled as she suddenly appeared behind Shui Hua.
Focused on her phone screen, Shui Hua was startled, instinctively locking her screen before turning to look at the mischievous Xing Li who had snuck up behind her.
“Nothing much, just the usual, slacking off after finishing my work.”
“Mhmhm…”
Xing Li let out a knowing hum and tapped at her phone screen, lighting up the lock screen.
“But I just saw the interface on your phone, and it didn’t look like your usual games or videos. It looked like you were buying something, didn’t it?”
Seeing there was no use pretending, Shui Hua dropped the act and unlocked her phone, holding it up to Xing Li.
The screen was filled with the page of a shopping APP, and an array of feminine outfits—dresses, blouses, pants—covered the display, every style imaginable.
“Shui Hua, so you’ve finally awakened your interest in Feminine Outfits, huh… Well, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. After all, a love for beauty is every girl’s nature.”
She nudged Shui Hua with her elbow, waggling her brows teasingly.
Fei Xing came over to join the fun, commenting, “There are a few boys at our school who love wearing Feminine Outfits, you know. They dress flashier than the girls. Some even take some kind of medicine for it.”
“You two, enough already. I don’t have any weird hobbies like that.”
Shui Hua retorted, giving Xing Li a light elbow in return and ruffling Fei Xing’s hair.
“It’s not what you’re thinking. Mainly, I’m going on a date with my girlfriend this Saturday. I can’t exactly show up in my Magical Girl outfit, can I? So I thought I’d check online first and decide what style to wear.”
Xing Li tilted her head, confused.
“Didn’t I help you pick out that JK Style Outfit before? Why not just wear that? It’s adorable!”
“I feel like that one looks too soft. I want to try something that feels more Boyfriend Style. Do you even know what Boyfriend Style is?”
“Why are you looking for a Boyfriend Style Feminine Outfit? Why not just go as a guy to the date?”
Xing Li blinked, then her smile grew sly.
“Don’t tell me… your little girlfriend actually only wants a yuri couple? She doesn’t like your male form?”
“Don’t let your imagination run wild… She really did start off as a fan of my Shui Hua persona, but she truly likes me for who I am, no matter which form. She said she wants to evaluate both sides of me, so I have to prepare both looks. Got it?”
“Your girlfriend sure knows how to enjoy life. I think monogamy is the right way to go after all.”
“Exactly… so it’s all her fault. It’s not that I like Feminine Outfits, I just really need a decent set of clothes.”
“Uh-huh—”
Xing Li crossed her arms, looking Shui Hua up and down with a teasing smile.
“But who would’ve thought? Our Shui Hua is taking this date so seriously, carefully considering outfits for both forms. That’s the kind of thoughtfulness only a girl in love would have…”
“This is just basic social etiquette, okay? Don’t twist it.”
“Alright~ Alright~ Whatever you say~”
Xing Li ignored Shui Hua’s protests.
“Perfect, since you look bored anyway,” Shui Hua stuffed her phone into Xing Li’s hand, “come help me pick out something suitable.”
“Now that’s the right person to ask! I’m a fashion master.”
Xing Li puffed out her chest confidently and patted it for emphasis.
Xing Li took the phone and her fingers moved swiftly over the screen.
In just a few minutes, she decisively added several items to the shopping cart.
“Here, pick this long White Long T-shirt, and pair it with these Black Skinny Pants. For your hair, don’t tie Double Ponytail—try a Single Ponytail, or just let your hair down. It’ll look cooler.”
“That fast? You’re not just picking at random?”
“Doubting my professional eye?”
Xing Li raised an eyebrow.
“How about we go try them in a physical store after work? That way you can experience the master’s coordination for yourself.”
“Alright.”
Shui Hua hesitated a moment, then nodded in agreement.

After work, Xing Li expertly led Shui Hua to a trendy fashion store.
She pulled out several outfits similar to the ones she’d found earlier and stuffed them all into Shui Hua’s arms, pushing her toward the fitting room.
Inside, Shui Hua took off her blue and gold Magical Girl dress and put on the clothes Xing Li had chosen.
The oversized White Long T-shirt hung casually over her hips, giving off a relaxed vibe.
The Black Skinny Pants outlined her slender but strong legs.
Though still obviously feminine, compared to her usual dress, it was much sharper and neater.
At the end, she undid her signature blue Double Ponytail and let her long hair fall loose, only loosely gathering a small section at the back.
The person in the mirror seemed to transform instantly, shifting from sweet and cute to fresh and stylish.
Even Shui Hua barely recognized herself.
“It actually looks… pretty good?”
“Well?”
Shui Hua took a deep breath, pulled open the curtain, and struck a pose with one hand on her hip.
Xing Li circled around her twice, stroked her chin, and nodded approvingly.
“Not bad, not bad, you really pull it off. Even I have to look at you differently now.”
As she spoke, she whipped out her phone in a flash, capturing a photo of Shui Hua’s rare new look.
“Why did you—wait, why are you taking pictures of me?”
Shui Hua reacted and reached out to snatch Xing Li’s phone.
“Relax, relax,” Xing Li dodged nimbly, her fingers flying over the screen.
“I’m just sending it to Fei Xing so she can see your cool new look. I didn’t send it to anyone else.”
She hit send before Shui Hua could grab her phone.
“Fine, fine. If you want to look, just look.”
Seeing the message had already gone out, Shui Hua let go of the phone and crossed her arms, pretending not to care.
Shui Hua looked back in the mirror, appraising her new style.
Feeling it could be improved further, she fiddled with her hair and shifted her hair tie up and down, searching for the perfect spot.
Xing Li put away her phone and, watching Shui Hua still fussing with her look, suddenly said, “Shui Hua, how about finding time to test your Hero Level again?”
“Eh?”
Shui Hua froze, turning in confusion.
“Why bring that up all of a sudden?”
“Because someone seems to be getting more and more like a maiden these days~”
