After a moment, Millie boarded the airship.
The airship was noisy, crowded with travelers from all over.
Millie kept her head down to avoid being recognized, clutching Filusa’s sleeve and sticking close behind her until they finally reached first class.
First class had several compartments.
Filusa picked a secluded room and swiped the keycard in her hand.
Beep!——
A chime sounded, and the door unlocked.
This high-tech-looking gadget was actually magitech; its energy source wasn’t electricity but magic stones, though it functioned much like on Blue Star.
The place looked very much like a karaoke private room, only about six square meters in size. Sofas lined both sides, with a coffee table in the center bearing black tea and pastries.
Millie plopped onto the sofa.
“This sofa’s so soft! You should come sit too!~~”
“Don’t act like you’ve never seen the world before…”
“Says the worldly lady herself, huh?”
She finally felt a little happier, only to have her good mood ruined again.
There was nothing she could do. Millie had only been in this world for three years, and for the first two, she hadn’t even been the Saintess. Even after becoming the Saintess, she rarely traveled this far.
If she had to go on a business trip, she’d always take economy class.
Not like Filusa, who was rich and extravagant—always first class wherever she went!
Click!——
Filusa locked the door tight.
The space was small to begin with, and now with the door locked, it felt even more confining.
Millie instinctively covered her chest, feeling like Filusa was about to bully her.
Just then, sweet moans drifted over from the next room, making Millie’s cheeks flush red as she instinctively covered her ears—but the next door neighbors only grew even wilder.
Seriously, how could they be so shameless, getting all lovey-dovey in broad daylight!
“What’s wrong, are you excited hearing others snuggle?”
“N-No way!——”
Millie deliberately raised her voice, just to remind the neighbors to keep it down.
But after a brief pause, the neighbors only became more enthusiastic.
Apparently being overheard made them even more excited.
Millie was speechless. Just what kind of people fly first class? She thought Filusa was a pervert, but someone was even more perverted than her!
Millie protected herself, scooting further away.
“I’m telling you, don’t try anything funny, or you’ll regret it!”
Filusa slowly approached, her eyes darting everywhere.
“Relax, I won’t lay a finger on you.”
“That’s more like it…”
It seemed Filusa at least knew the time and place, and wouldn’t do anything inappropriate in a room with such poor soundproofing.
Millie breathed a sigh of relief. Filusa sat beside her, draping an arm around Millie’s shoulders. The space was so small, Millie had nowhere to run.
“It’s just an interrogation. You know what that is, right?”
“What?” Millie was stunned. “You can’t interrogate me either!”
She struggled desperately, but the space was so cramped.
By accident, she bumped into something soft, her face instantly turning bright red.
She thought Filusa had finally mended her ways, but it turned out she was still just as bad!
The child in my belly might even be yours. If you make me miscarry, you’ll be the one crying. Are you really okay with that?
“All right, don’t get so excited,”
Filusa cupped Millie’s cheeks, planting a peck on her forehead.
With teary eyes, Millie covered her forehead. She couldn’t dodge, but couldn’t make a scene either—after all, the neighbors were still going at it.
“All right, let’s start the interrogation!~~”
Millie bit her lip, glaring at Filusa in grievance.
“If you try anything, I’ll blow up the airship!”
If it were anyone else, Filusa might have laughed it off. But Millie really had that kind of power—never mind the airship, she could probably blow up the entire Sky Harbor.
But Filusa had her own plans.
She calmly pulled out a cream cake and set it on the coffee table.
Millie rolled her eyes, not knowing what she was up to.
“I’m going to eat this cream cake right in front of you!”
“Huh?……”
She didn’t react at first, but soon realized—was Filusa planning to interrogate her with food? She’d thought Filusa would pull some big move, but this was it?……
Filusa, on the other hand, was brimming with confidence as she picked up the cake and took a bite.
Millie swallowed unconsciously, quickly looking away.
If she was being honest, she was a bit tempted—but so what?
She’d weathered all kinds of storms, worn a catgirl outfit, even gotten pregnant. Was she really going to fall for a food trap now?
“So, do you want a bite?”
Filusa licked the cream off her lips, eyebrows dancing as she looked over.
“Filusa, you’re so naive.” Millie rolled her eyes. “I’m not a child. How could a mere piece of food make me confess?”
“Oh? So you are hiding something from me.”
“Uh! No, I’m not!……”
Oops, she let it slip!
She’d thought of everything, but didn’t expect this was Filusa’s true intention!
Filusa just wanted to get her talking—she didn’t even know if Millie was hiding anything. But now, Millie had confessed without being pressed—she’d given herself away!
“All right, out with it!”
Filusa pressed closer, forcing Millie to retreat.
“O-Out with what?”
“You’re hiding something from me, aren’t you?”
“I’m not hiding anything from you…”
Millie’s eyes darted back and forth, and she suddenly got an idea.
If she simply said “I’m not hiding anything,” Filusa would keep suspecting. It would be better to make up a plausible lie to satisfy her curiosity and stop her from asking more questions.
Something worth hiding, and something that would make Filusa happy…
Oh, right! Filusa’s birthday was coming up.
Millie remembered it clearly: early last October, a bunch of followers had given Filusa birthday gifts, including chocolates from some cute girls.
There had been so many chocolates, Filusa had shared them with everyone.
Millie got two pieces herself, so the memory was vivid.
Maybe she could say she was preparing a birthday present for Filusa. But she couldn’t say it outright—that’d still be suspicious. She had to make it seem like a slip of the tongue. But how?
“Still not telling the truth?” Filusa dipped her finger in the cream. “Then we’ll try another way—open up, ah!~~”
“Hey, what are you—mmph!……”
Filusa stuffed some cream into Millie’s mouth.
Honestly, it tasted really good!
“Is she really trying to tempt me? It’s not like I haven’t eaten before!”
“Of course not,” Filusa replied with a sweet smile. “Ah, you’ve got cream on your face. Let big sis clean it for you, okay?~~”
Filusa grabbed Millie’s wrist and slowly drew closer. Millie was frightened, her teary-eyed look even more adorable. Before she could resist, Filusa leaned in and licked the cream away.
“Aaah, what are you doing!……”
Millie kept rubbing her cheek, feeling it wet and sticky.
“Obviously, I’m interrogating you.” Filusa wouldn’t let up. “So, what are you hiding from me? Fess up, or I’ll keep licking you.”
“You pervert!——”
Millie gave Filusa a hard shove.
But in such a cramped room, Filusa didn’t even fall over.
Filusa braced herself on the coffee table and stood up, an impatient look on her face. Millie pretended to stare at the cake, then bashfully glanced at Filusa.
“Where did you buy this cake?”
Anyway, she’d better steer the topic to the cake first,
Then, little by little, ask what flavors Filusa liked.
As for whether Filusa would see through her act, that was her problem. All Millie could do was try to make the hint as obvious as possible.
