Because thinking so much wore her out, Livyat slept especially well last night.
Mhm, these must be the troubles of a leader.
Today, Livyat got up extra early.
Her hair was a messy tangle, and she wore only a thin silk nightdress.
Every day, she faced the ultimate question brought by this new appearance: What should I wear today?
Silvery hair gently swayed beside her cheek, occasionally brushing against her long lashes, making her mind even more restless.
Although she really didn’t want to order people around, in the end, Livi decided to honor her laziness and let a maid come in to help her throw on whatever.
After putting on her underwear, she pressed the call bell.
Ding-ling, ding-ling.
The expected maid team didn’t appear; instead, only the sound of clicking leather boots echoed in.
Livi froze instantly.
That sound—it was Sister Julia!
The next second, the door swung open.
Julia entered with a swing of her shoulders, fists pulled in, striding over to her with an imposing air.
“Livi, trying to slack off again and have the maids handle everything for you? A girl will only become more spoiled and willful like this. Just like a certain former Princess.”
At this moment, Livi just wanted to call out to Tess for help.
Julia walked right up to Livi and looked at her.
Livi’s little face flushed red.
Julia gently swept Livi’s hair behind her ear, her fingers brushing against Livi’s cheek and pointed ear; the base of Livi’s ear instantly burned scarlet.
Then Julia moved behind Livi, her hands following suit, gathering the hair from both sides and pulling it together, then pressing the floral hair tie from her wrist onto the hair.
With her other hand, she undid the tie holding Livi’s hair, her nimble fingers darting up and down, tying up a simple yet beautiful ponytail for her.
How pretty.
Julia’s gaze fell on Livi’s shoulders and neck, white as jade; her neck was long and her shoulders narrow, the strap of her nightdress almost slipping off, baring her delicate shoulder completely.
Her back was exposed as well, the sides drawn in but curving gracefully.
Tempting enough to commit a crime.
Julia took a deep breath and said softly, “Livi, don’t keep up your old habits—shrugging or raising your shoulders. That’s bad for them. You have to get used to having narrower shoulders now.”
Ugh.
Yes, after becoming a girl, Livi clearly felt her shoulders had become much narrower; when she straightened up, she always felt her shoulders and neck got tired easily.
It made her more and more fond of slouching.
“Learn to relax. Let your shoulders drop naturally, relax.”
Julia gently massaged Livi’s shoulders, slowly pressing down.
The instant she pressed, Livi’s chest pushed forward a little, and the neckline of her nightdress immediately slipped half an inch lower.
Livi shrieked in embarrassment, reaching up to pull it back, but Julia beat her to it, lifting the back strap up, adjusting the angle, and securing it firmly on her shoulder.
“Next is your hips. Don’t stick them out so much; keep them relaxed and natural. Don’t be afraid to show your curves. There’s nothing to be shy about.”
She held Livi’s hips with both hands, fingertips pinching the thin nightdress an inch below, giving a gentle tug back.
Livi blushed even harder—come on, that’s her lower waist!
Livi could only cooperate with Julia, leaning her lower body back slowly, shifting to the right angle and trying to relax.
Sure enough, the tension in her waist immediately eased a lot.
But just then, Livi’s lower back pressed against Julia’s abdomen.
Livi gave a startled cry, trying to arch her hips forward to escape, but her hips were clamped tight by two hands, leaving her no way to break free.
“Don’t move. Feel your posture—this is the most proper and graceful.”
So this is what grace means?
Livi was dying of embarrassment, pink ripples blooming all the way up her neck.
But, it did seem true.
Livi looked down and saw her posture was much more natural, her lower body didn’t stick out awkwardly anymore.
Instead, it was tucked in gracefully, and her legs, white as scallions, looked extremely cute.
Ugh, how can I be this cute?
Seeing Livi stop struggling, Julia let go, taking a step back to continue appraising the girl’s figure.
“Livi, you don’t need to stand with your legs perfectly parallel and straight. You’re not a soldier. Bend your knees a little, stay natural and relaxed.”
Her fingertips pressed gently on Livi’s knee crook, nudging inward.
Livi’s knees bent instantly, her whole body trembling.
Then she felt a few pats on her hips.
“Don’t tremble. While you should relax, you also need to stand steady. Next, don’t stand on your tiptoes. That will make your body lean forward easily. Put your weight on your heels, with your toes pointed slightly out—that will look graceful and dignified.”
Flustered, Livi shifted her legs and feet, feeling unsteady all over.
“Feel it—put your center of gravity in your hips, not your waist. Girls don’t need to stand with too much effort in their waists, you know?”
The hips, huh.
So girls stand using their hips?
Are girls all really this…cute?
She realized, unknowingly, that not only was her mindset slowly becoming more feminine, but her every move was as well.
Now she understood—after only a few days with the Book of Kingship, not only had she been turned into a girl in others’ eyes, she was gradually becoming a girl in her own eyes, too.
Ugh, not bad.
This world is really not gentle with a girl like me.
The rest was simple.
Julia chose a tasteful but not flashy light blue long dress for Livi.
Unlike Tess, who would help her into clothes with careful attention to detail, Julia was like an older sister dressing up her little sister.
She seemed impatient, but the clothes fit perfectly, with not a wrinkle or gap.
Yesterday, Livi said she’d go see Elena today—that clerk from the Treasury, born a commoner.
Since that was the case, there was no need to dress especially fancy; a simple, approachable outfit was best.
Surely Elena would like this side of Livi, too.
If so, it would be so much easier to get close to the “No Pants Faction” surrounding Antonroni.
Hmph, Livi, you really are a clever one.
Julia thought so.
“Oh, right, Sister Julia, is Tess awake? What’s she doing?”
What a question, could Tess be awake?
If that foolish woman weren’t still sleeping, would I—Julia—be here in your suite, helping you get dres—helping you dress?
Thinking of this, Julia couldn’t help but smile, a trace of sweetness curling at the corner of her lips.
“Sister Julia, I’m heading out then. Don’t worry, I know Elena well. I can handle her.”
Actually, Livi wasn’t all that close to Elena, but she believed that with Elena’s simple, fiery temper, a bit of effort would be enough to become friends!
Just like she’d once hoped for, though she didn’t know if Elena hated the old her or not.
And so, Livi boarded the carriage at the door.
Julia watched the carriage drive away with happiness in her eyes.
She was just about to turn back—when suddenly, a murderous intent as fierce as a storm exploded behind her.
No magic could do that.
Julia’s stiff neck slowly turned around.
Until she saw Tess.
