Being stared at so intently by the two of them, Rita felt like a little lamb caught in the gaze of the Big Bad Wolf, as if the next second she’d be swallowed whole.
And not the kind of “swallowed whole” that’s allowed on TV.
“Come, come, over here, over here.” One of the women took a couple of steps forward, beckoning Rita to follow.
Don’t worry! Rita, isn’t this exactly why you came here? If you don’t eat, you’ll starve!
Biting her lip, Rita silently cheered herself on and stepped forward to follow them.
The black market wasn’t very big, and in just a few minutes, they reached the city’s edge where a small door hung with a curtained door appeared before Rita.
The curtain was lifted, and two equally striking older sisters stepped out.
“What’s this all about? Don’t we already have enough people here?” The one who stepped out frowned.
“Don’t talk nonsense! This is a Big Client. Today, the few of us will properly serve this young lady.” The woman leading Rita flashed a shiny gold coin.
“Oh, oh, sorry, sorry, I actually mistook you. See how silly I was?” The other woman immediately broke into a broad smile when she saw the coin.
Big Client, young lady—do you think I’m some fat sheep to be fattened up?
Now Rita was starting to feel a little hesitant.
These people clearly lived their lives deep in the black market.
Just by looking at Rita’s expression, they knew exactly what she was thinking.
The four of them closed in on Rita, two in front and two behind, surrounding her.
Just as Rita suspected they might be up to no good, one of them pinched her butt with a small hand, making her shiver involuntarily.
“Oh my, why so shy?”
“Yeah, you’re already here, come on in and have a seat.” Another patted Rita’s waist, pushing her toward the house.
“Worried we won’t serve you well? Don’t worry, not a single girl who comes out from us can hold her head up straight.” Another pulled open her clothes, revealing a broad chest, and pressed Rita’s head toward it. If Rita hadn’t dodged in time, it would have been over.
“That’s right, the endurance and skills of the four of us shock everyone. Each has her unique secret skill, and our secret weapons will bring you endless surprises.” The last one loosened her clothes, pulling out a bunch of mosaic toys from inside, like concealed weapons.
This is the Shaking Eel, this is the King Oyster Mushroom.
Rita’s eyes swirled as her brain’s Auto Beautification System kicked into overdrive, rendering these terrifying things she was seeing for the first time into as cute a form as possible.
No way!
This was definitely too intense for her.
Having only just seen other girls’ bodies a few days ago, little Rita couldn’t handle such a huge shock.
A brothel!
How scary!
Rita shook off the hand on her side, pushing past those blocking her and ran straight outside.
“Big sister, she ran away!”
“Chase her! Chase! One round of business like this will feed us for a long time!”
Stop it, stop it! Don’t fill my pure heart with weird stuff! My brain is going to fry!
Rita had just turned the corner when she saw a group of burly men rushing toward her, led by the stall owner who had tried to sell her a fake succubus tail.
Seeing Rita, the stall owner pointed ahead, calling out: “That’s her! That aluminum person! She messed with my spot!”
Uncle, you got your face puffed up, don’t push yourself to speak!
Wait—are they really coming here to settle this?
Rita turned to run back but immediately came face to face with the women who had chased her all this way, their large treasure chests on their chests and the equipment-shaped Shaking Eels at their waists swinging with her movements.
“Little sister! Little sister, have you changed your mind? We have QQ space, and also ○○, ××, and even [Beep] to satisfy you! We guarantee comfort! Absolutely guaranteed!”
The Shaking Eel!
One side was physical harm, the other mental torture.
Rita didn’t want to choose either!
Someone save me!
But Rita’s two fists couldn’t fight off four hands, let alone four times that number.
After a game of chase and dodge, she was eventually cornered against the wall.
Rita had always thought of herself as a full-grown man, at least once upon a time.
She was sure she wouldn’t cry like a little girl.
But after being chased all this way—angry, scared, and exhausted—her nose really started to sting, and her voice trembled.
“What do you, what do you want!”
“What do we want?” The stall owner cracked his knuckles, which made a sharp cracking sound. “Li dared to mess with my spot! And caused me to get beaten! I don’t know if I can still stay here!”
The older sisters rubbed their hands together eagerly: “Little sister, didn’t you promise to keep us company? We’ve been waiting for you all along!”
“Beat her!”
“Hit her!”
Waaah, this place is so scary! I want to go home!
If you mess with me again! I’ll shark all of you!
Rita clenched her fists under her cloak.
If anyone dared to be the first to pounce, she would twist their head off like a rabid dog.
“What’s going on!”
A loud, commanding shout came from behind the crowd.
Everyone stopped moving and turned their heads toward the alley’s entrance.
There stood a muscular giant, shirtless, his steel-like body blocking most of the light outside the alley.
And this giant, Rita recognized.
Wasn’t this Johnson, the one ranked just below herself?
Seeing Johnson, the crowd immediately grew more cautious.
Picking on a clueless rookie was one thing; no one knew where they might report to.
But this giant was clearly not someone to mess with.
“It’s nothing, it’s nothing!”
“Scaredy cat, scaredy cat!”
The crowd that had just packed the alley scattered like birds and beasts, leaving only Rita leaning against the wall.
Johnson took a few steps closer, seemingly careful not to scare Rita, keeping a respectful distance: “You, are you okay?”
“I’m fine, I’m fine.” Rita stood straight, patting her chest. “I was so scared… really, so scared!”
By now Johnson could clearly see Rita’s face beneath the cloak.
People in the black market wouldn’t recognize a big star like Rita, but among examinees, her face was famous everywhere.
“Rita?” Johnson frowned. “What are you doing here?”
After all, Johnson hadn’t realized who he was rescuing.
Rita had a good impression of the big guy, so she removed the hood of her cloak and awkwardly tugged at the corner of her mouth.
“Do you believe me if I say I got lost?”
Johnson thought for a moment and then gave a very serious expression: “If it were anyone else, I might not believe it. But you? I do.”
Hey, hey, what does that mean! Do you all think I’m a total fool?!
If you hadn’t helped me just now, I’d have punched you twice by now.
“Forget it.” Johnson stepped back a couple of paces and waved at Rita. “Follow me, I’ll take you out.”
